Its great when you commit to the workflow

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about LucidLink is how fast and easy it makes accessing huge files from anywhere, feels like working off a local drive, but it's all in the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your internet’s slow or spotty, the experience isn’t as seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink has helped our small team move fast, stay connected, and work on big projects without being held back by distance, storage, or infrastructure bottlenecks.

What do you like best about the product?
It provides real-time streaming of data directly from cloud storage without requiring full downloads, making it ideal for workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only it requires high bandwidth and low latency, rest all good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is very helpful for cloud data collaboration which enables users to access and work with large files stored in cloud storage as if they were local files.

Lucid Link - Ease of workflow

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Link allows us, as a small business, to keep up to date in real-time, collaborating on the same Premier Pro Project. It means no matter where we are (home or office) changes can happen instantly and we are able to deliver our content on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about LucidLink, except as a small business it would be great to obviously be a little cheaper, so as to not eat into the little budget we have for these in-house video projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are two of us working on our in-house video productions, and we are not often not in the office at the same time. It allows us to be up-to-date on the same file at any moment. Instead of being locked into a hardwired editing computer, we can login even at home to make changes to our project

Pick up and edit anywhere

What do you like best about the product?
The seamless experience. It's like having the media there with me, but not. I don't have to worry about dropping or losing a drive. And I can collaborate with anyone and I don't have to share media, only permissions. It integrates perfectly with Premiere, After Effects and Audition - for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it lags. It's only been a few times, but for some reason it just didn't perform. It didn't last long though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work in different space and have different skills. Having access to Lucid Link makes it as if we're in the same room, working on the project together. We can easily jump in and solve to our specialty, when needed.

It just works! Terabytes of data, now at my fingertips.

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have over 30TB of data that used to require offloading to an external drive or making sure it is ready for offline use. Now, I have all of that ay my fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does require a good internet connection, so going completely off the grid is not possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small production team with a hybrid office setup with users working from home multiple days a week as well as frequent travel. With over 30 TBs of data, working from a central NAS is not possible when home or on the road. We either had to move files to an external drive or using other cloud providers that are limited by your computer's internal storage, make sure the needed files are synced for offline use. With Lucidlink there is so much more flexibility. I can pin the files I know I needed for offline, but then as long as I have an internet connection, I can access other files that may not have been planned for.

Simple, direct and effective

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easiest alternative to having a on-site Avid Nexis environment without duplicate workstations, high speed internet uplinks and firewalls and deployment issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works reliably but on occasion if things go wrong some underlying software issues might come to the fore. Classic version doesn't handle multiple Lucid projects on a cache drive without problems. You need Mimiq or some other software to create multiple Avid workspaces or else you're limited to only one Avid MediaFiles folder per project. Changing Apple Silicon security defaults and having to install Muse for file system compatibility is sometimes more challenging with remote users of different technical abilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project involves 7 users in 3 states. Cost, ease of deployment and real time project sharing were solved by using LucidLink.

A real instant access to cloud files

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Instant access to cloud files
Real-time collaboration
End-to-end encryption and secure access control
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be implemented by default 2FA for accessing this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The only problem that I think that should be implemented is 2FA functionality

Good alternate if you can't have a traditional server

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the LucidLink has many characteristics and usage of a traditional server.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been cumbersom when trying to share files with coworkers, who have to go and create an account to access the files.

Also, don't like the that Workspace dashboard pops-up EVERYTIME I click on a new link.Have it show the first initial time, but stop after that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It replaces a traditional server for storing and sharing files.

LucidLink Review – A Reliable Part of Our Daily Workflows

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use LucidLink daily to transfer video files from our MAM to local machines, and it’s been a great addition to our setup. It’s easy to use — feels just like working off a local drive — and the ability to stream large video files without full downloads has saved us a lot of time.

Integration was simple and seamless. It fit right into our existing workflow without needing any major changes or extra support. Overall, it’s a reliable, efficient solution that’s made a real difference for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only hiccup we’ve noticed is that sometimes there’s a bit of lag between pushing files from the MAM and them showing up on local machines. It’s not a dealbreaker, but as a sports company and the primary day-to-day being conversations, we never know where talent will take the conversation so grabbing an asset in real time is helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink gives NFL Media the ability to move video files from our main MAM via EVS systems to our local computers where we use vMix Production software. With it we are able to file transfer almost in real time, and drop seamlessly into live productions.

The best collaborative tool for freelancers and content creator teams

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink is the best match of storage solutions and team collaboration. This tool save creatives time and allows you to have the freedom that freelancers love. You can edit, make changes or review anything instantly wherever or whenever you want. This tool has helped me differentiate myself from the competition. Any editor edits, but only a few know which tool improves the workflow of an entire team. That's key to why my clients choose me over any other filmmaker, and I think it's a tool more people should know about.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price. I think 27 usd per member is difficult to sustain over time. I think it would be better to have a fixed price and the chance to have limit members, not a price per member.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Download time.

Travel to the studio to organize material.

Purchase of ssd to store and edit material.

The need of carrying hard drives everywhere.

If you're out of town and the client needs a "last minute fast change" you can do it or ask one of your team to do it without reconnecting the content.
