Better than expected
What do you like best about the product?
The app works. That by itself is impressive. It's cutting-edge and not nearly as buggy as it could be. I've been able to deliver high-level commercial work from across the continent without too many hiccups.
What do you dislike about the product?
You will probably run into the occasional slowdown or strange bug. I work in Premiere Pro; that software is buggy enough, and LucidLink probably adds another 30% or so to the chance of a project file crashing. Having said that, crashes are kinda the name of the game if you're a video editor. Just set up your autosaves and you'll be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to work remotely with clients who care about preserving control over their data.
Good experience
What do you like best about the product?
Streaming files without occupying local storage space
What do you dislike about the product?
I can’t change location for the Volume disk
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy file manage
It's an amazing way to share files.. But a bit pricey
What do you like best about the product?
It's as easy as dragging files to the desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very expensive, I'd really like a cheaper option, even if it's far slower. The freelance monthly price does not even buy one SD card worth of storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a reliable way to share a lot of data online without worrying about uploads crashing. I am primarily using it for the reliability. Speed is important, but I like to know that it won't crash half way.
Efficient Cloud File Access
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike traditional cloud storage, LucidLink allows me to access large files instantly without downloading them, which significantly improves collaboration across remote teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the connection is weak or inconsistent, file access can become laggy or interrupted, which affects productivity. A bit more flexibility in pricing tiers could make it more accessible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solves the problem of remote file access and collaboration, especially for teams working with large files like videos, graphics, or design assets. Instead of needing to download and sync everything locally, I can stream files directly from the cloud, which saves a lot of time and storage space.
its good
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, Intuitive and has all the things I need
What do you dislike about the product?
The premium version has nice features some of them should be here as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaborate with team to build and visualise
Easy access to all the files we use as a team
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and implementation is great. It works very well, and I rarely have connection issues, even when accessing multiple documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when I'm uploading, I need to log in again, which is annoying because it stops the upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration between teams and the exchange of files within the business.
This has completely changed mine and my editing teams entire workflow!
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly LucidLink has completely changed my entire editing teams workflow. Our team all work remotely and before using LucidLink we were either having to meetup to transfer footage or having to upload it to G Drive and then download it. This was a major hassle and massively slowed down our entire process. I also really like that I can pin files so they are saved locally (especially useful when the internet isn't up to par)
Now we can literally send one message to each other and say can you take a look at a project and they can instantly open it up and continue working on the project. Other than the editing software itself, this is now the most essential tool we have for editing.
I would recommend trying this if you work with a team or have to work from more than one computer.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is unpinning files I have saved locally. I wish there was an easier way to see all the files I've pinned so I could quickly select all and unpin them (maybe there is a way to do this, but I can't seem to find it)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with a team. We'd often just share projects on SSD's or if I was working on another computer remotely I would have to dial into my computer to edit projects I'd already started. This wasn't ideal as there would often be a lag or the internet would cut out making it really hard to get into any sort of rhythm when editing.
Lucid Link solution for remote and shared working
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of set up, the flexibility inherent in the system and its very user friendly interface. Great customer support
What do you dislike about the product?
Administration would be easier straight from the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily sharing data across the world with different workers and able to share and monitor all work
Early Doubts Proven Very Wrong!
What do you like best about the product?
I had thought this software too good to be true however, it has been monumental in the transformation of our company's video editing workflows. We've a team nationwide and this has saved me a great deal of time and money. We previously were purchasing hard drives, transferring footage to a workable drive and a back-up drive then sending to our editors via post.
Now we simply back-up, create proxy files, and upload to Lucid Link and have editors jumping onto the project immediately.
Game changer!

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downfalls i've found are to do with the user interface of the desktop app. Lucid are naively assuming when it comes to the customers' understanding of applying the product. When setting up, if you're not familiar with coding / computer science terminology you may need assistance to get right from the start. For example; it asks you to define a filespace with a root path. Establishing cache sizes and understanding local pathways i found confusing having only ever used Mac.

Very practical, sometimes tricky
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you I find all of the files from all the company in just one place, I don't have to wait until something loads or something. It's always there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the fact that it has many updates or sometimes it disconnects from the cloud and I have to start the whole process again. Sometimes when you need it the most, it's not active.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting to files very quickly without having to reach out so someone/ sending an email/ downloading, it's taking me less time to complete my deilverables.
