LucidLink Changed the Way My Team Works Remotely

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is how LucidLink makes working with large files feel completely local, even though everything’s actually in the cloud. I’m part of a distributed creative team, and traditionally, syncing or transferring big project files (especially video) used to kill a lot of our time. With LucidLink, there’s literally no waiting—files are instantly accessible and stream in real time. It kind of feels like having a shared drive that just happens to live online, but without the lag or the clunkiness you’d expect. Also, the setup was way easier than I anticipated—no VPNs, no weird permissions mess, just install, sign in, and you’re good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the biggest downside for me is how dependent it is on a stable internet connection. If your connection dips even a little, it can feel laggy or unresponsive—especially when scrubbing through high-res video files. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re on the go or working from places with spotty Wi-Fi. Also, the pricing can creep up a bit depending on how much storage you need. I get that it's a pro tool, but for freelancers or smaller teams, the monthly cost can feel a little steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, the main problem LucidLink solved was version chaos and file transfer delays across a remote team. Before this, we’d waste hours uploading, downloading, and syncing assets, especially for video projects. Someone always had an outdated version or had to wait on a file to finish syncing. LucidLink basically turned our cloud storage into something that behaves like a local drive. Now we can all work off the same files, in real time, from different locations, without having to constantly check if something’s been uploaded or not. It’s honestly made our workflow way more fluid and has cut down on a ton of unnecessary back-and-forth.

Your files in one place

  • June 13, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
It's like having a single shared hard drive, but with the advantage that it's in the cloud, and the whole team can access the company's files in real time. It's easy to install, and their support has already helped us with some issues. We use it every weekday (M-F) to carry out our work, and we integrate with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Lucid stops working, and in that case we all lose access, so we can lose a day of work. It's not often, but it happens. Pinning sometimes doesn't work, and it unpins all the files, despite having a clean cache.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use programs from the Adobe suite, and in one file, two or three people can collaborate. In the collaborative version of Adobe, it gives us many problems, and we have ended up losing entire projects. With Lucid, we avoid the problems that the programs give us.

Decent online file sharing

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That you can login and access files from anywhere.
That you can send a link to a file to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I login to connect to the drive in the cloud, I have to open and app, then click to connect, then click to open the filespace, then it opens the space and I have to click at least 3 times to get down to the folder where our team stuff is kept. I wish I could just click once and be there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows our web developers to access our files.

Great technology for remote collaboration

  • June 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The recent update allows Revit files to be collaborative, simplifying the workflow when members work from different locations.

Also, great support team. Very prompt in getting issues resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. We have been using LucidLink for over 2 years, during this time, the only thing we disliked was Revit files crashing when more than 2 people were accessing. This has been resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Other solutions are more expensive and typically stops at site-site collaboration. Lucidlink enables 1-step down, where you can take the computer anywhere and access the data efficiently.

Game changing reactivity in an industry that requires agiity

  • May 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to work with peers seamlessly, sharing edits instantly. It is especially useful when working with multiple editors as it allows us to collaborate on live projects and hit intense deadlines, regardless of timezone.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be painful when first caching if internet is slow, and the settings currently missing in the enterprise version of lucid in comparison to Classic are agonising.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration internationally on videos that have many assets, all shared from one source.

LucidLink Delivers Where Others Struggle

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink is a game-changer for remote teams working with large files—especially in media, post-production, and design. What sets it apart is its real-time streaming technology, which makes files feel local even though they’re stored in the cloud. No more downloading or syncing. You just open your project and get to work. It’s like Dropbox, Google Drive, and a SAN had a baby but smarter and optimized for professionals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is also on the premium side, which is fair for what it offers—but may be a hurdle for smaller teams or freelancers. Also, while it’s built for creatives, it would be nice to see even deeper integrations with more creative tools and platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping our team in Asia with editing speed.

What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink has helped our marketing team tremendously when it comes to making video commercials and sharing them across regions and to vendors that we work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Surprisingly there hasn’t been anything we don’t like about LucidLink
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed more storage to store videos when making marketing commercials. We also needed to share the videos with external partners and still keep the high quality

Great service overall, pros outweigh the cons

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of access no matter where you are, speed, ease of installation, and ease of use as it just looks like a folder on your desktop. Their customer support is pretty good too and offered us lots of demo and tutorial calls for the full team.
What do you dislike about the product?
problems batch uploading files or folders, specifically not accepting certain special characters in filenames and just bombs the entire upload.
Backup snapshots are taken out of your paid for capacity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had no solutions from Lucidlink about the uploading folders issue, they said to use an external upload program but I had trouble with that too.
