Streamlining the process of remote Grading
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented LucidLink to allow our Colourists to work away from the facility. The ease of implementation and usage and the ability to seamlessly integrate into DaVinci Resolve allowed our Colourists to keep working to the same level, outside of our facility.
Without the need for sending our shuttle drives every time there is an update, our team could hit the ground running on new jobs the minute they came in.

What do you dislike about the product?
As with any cloud based product, being able to set hard limits on usage as an Administrator is always a lot better than having the floodgates wide open for operators to use what they like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing our artists to work remotely, whilst everyone is accessing the same media
Great for Team and Vendor Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
We are using LucidLink as our main IO platform for media and file sharing between our internal team members as well as with our external vendors.
It's so simple to use and their is so little admin required for setting up new crew/vendor personnel.
We simply create a new folder, add the user with appropriate permissions and we're away.
So far we haven't had any issues with access, or download speeds, even with very large transfer packages.
Our experience has been so smooth that we adapted our pipeline to use Lucid as our main IO pathway.

There is nothing in particular that we don't like about Lucid.
There are a few features that we would like to see added but in our communications with the tech team it sounds like the majority of these are on the roadmap for future versions.

Data storage and transfer between internal teams that are based in locations around the world, as well as with External Vendors
Collaboration made easy
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink allows for connection without the old school methods of copying to a drive or having multiple copies across editors. With a single source of media, you know where your media is. Permissions access control allow for greater flexibility when working with Freelancers and being able to spin up and spin down as you need the resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the classic LucidLink means having to install Kernel Extensions, but this has been fixed with the new version!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing collaboration with team members wherever they are globally. Instant connections with a reduction in upload and downloading time.
Great Software for all users
What do you like best about the product?
As an administrator, the thing i like the most is the scalability of the software. The users are able to use file at the same time and do not need to download them as other software will require
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidlink needs a great connectivity speed. As an administrator we often receive complains about the slowness that might be cause by ISP and not by the software itself
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink has really solved the challenge of working with large files remotely for my team. Now we can quickly access and collaborate on documents in real time, without having to download everything first. It’s made it so much easier to work together, even when we’re in different locations, and it saves us a lot of time.
Game Changing Software
What do you like best about the product?
It’s really hard to believe, until you see it with your own eyes. The transfer speeds are ridiculous (..ly good!) and it will transform your workflow for the better. Can’t recommend enough.

Lack of a mobile application. Would

What do you like best about the product?
We use Lucid for video editing, we film here in Australia, then the videos are being edited in Asia and scheduled by a person in Europe. Lucid makes it possible
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid's biggest downside is their marketing. Wish I discovered them sooner as they saved us a fair amount of money and time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Besides being cloud storage, Lucid does have a great upload system. Upload speeds here in Australia are quite slow. So being able to stop and resume and will makes storing the files much easier.

What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly easy to set up and work with, It's fast, very stable and un-intrusive, often you forget that you're even working with it, it's that good!
What do you dislike about the product?
A live chat tech support feature would be a great addition. It's something that LucidLink doesn't currently have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a small team of creatives, we all work remotely from various locations across Europe. Our principle work is editing trailers for films and series. A number of editors in the team our relatively inexperienced, LucidLink makes it easy for me to open their Premiere Pro projects, to collaborate with them on edits, to make small tweaks where necessary, to teach them new skills and editing techniques. It also allows us to share media, with ease. LucidLink has made collaborative work so much easier and time effective.
Amazing for cheap file storage!
What do you like best about the product?
To easily be able to store and access all of our archived files in one secure place
What do you dislike about the product?
When updating Macos, sometimes having to reinstall LucidLink to get it to work again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After having all of our archived files on another file sharing platform that was quite expensive, Lucid helps us have these in one secure place, at a fraction of the cost!
Simple and Effective Cloud Share
What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy way to cloud share with exclusive file locking for creatives

Need to mount snapshots for history versions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exclusive file locking and a cloud solution mostly for creative file types, i.e. Adobe / Autodesk (dwg)

It just works great, you forget this is a cloud drive system and not a drive connected locally…

I don’t like when I’m in a plane or offline and I don’t have the ability to edit.

I’m able to collaborate with editors around the world, very easily, to get projects done.
