Great app, great support, made collaboration easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it was easy to install, configure and use. My first experience with it was on someone else's project and I was very surprised at how easy and quick it was for me to install and get working. The configuration panel was, for me, very intuitive. They ofter have updates, which makes me believe that they are constantly making sure that it's stable. My second experience with it was for my own project. We had to scale big (100+TB) and I was very happy that on that scale, we had a customer satisfaction team that made the process very easy and smooth. They were very knowledgeable and gave us great advices to make sure that we started on the good path.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I "dislike" about LucidLink is the fact that it's a cloud based storage, meaning that you constantly stream your footage (Yes you can cache) and if the software is not mounted, you can't access that data, even if it's cache. But those are limitations that you can easily work around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm now able to work collaboratively with multiple editors at home through a Premiere Pro Production. This has made our work SO MUCH EASIER.

Great alternative to SharePoint or OneDrive
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to browse and access files directly from our native Finder window on Mac (fewer steps, less cumbersome and confusing), and the ability to "preview" creative files in Finder without opening the entire file, which you cannot do on SharePoint or OneDrive. This allows us to quickly preview that we're choosing the correct file, or to quickly preview / review a design without taking the extra time to open the file in a program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to share file links with those who do not have a LucidLink access point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to quickly access files and preview them in Finder natively instead of "downloading" and opening them, which is what we had to do when using SharePoint and OneDrive for storage. In addition, the storage cost for SharePoint and OneDrive is massive for our graphics files, and LucidLink allowed us to save a ton of money.
LucidLink review by Atanu
What do you like best about the product?
My Experience with LucidLink is a Game-Changer magic for Creative workflow.I've found it to be a transformative tool for cloud-based collaboration. Its ability to provide instant access to shared files without the need for full downloads has significantly streamlined my projects.
LucidLink's real-time file streaming has allowed me and my team to work on large media files concurrently, eliminating the delays typically associated with file transfers. This feature has been particularly beneficial when collaborating with team members across different locations, ensuring everyone is working with the most up-to-date files.
Security is paramount in any collaborative environment, and LucidLink delivers with its end-to-end encryption.

What do you dislike about the product?
Price plan of lucidlink is really confusing for me, it became worse when you exceeded your storage limit. One more drawback is you can't work on offline mode so there is a big no for remote location.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working together remotely on a same project hassle free because everything is sync in lucidlink.
LucidLink = Hybrid Working (for real)
What do you like best about the product?
It has provided our users with a flexible solution to have full access to their files regardless of where they work. They can make amendments on the go without the need of having to be in the office, or have a really fast internet connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
It cost a bit more than other NAS services (but worth it).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hybrid working and being able to work on files without the need of a fast connection.
Fastest & most reliable way to share your work.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid has been an excellent tool for sharing my work with my teammates. It provides a reliable way to upload my files for everyone to download and collaborate on, or to simply upload the final products. I appreciate how easy and seamless it is; I can drag and drop a file just like any other document on my PC, and it uploads instantly. Plus, I receive a link that I can share within Slack or any other application, and it integrates smoothly. It's an outstanding app that makes my life easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don't dislike anything about the app. Sometimes, the updates take a little while, but you can rest assured that they are always working on improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the problem of sharing big files within seconds. Doesn't matter how many files you have or how big they are, they just upload real quick and my teammates can get to work on them instantly.

LucidLink Classic User Thoughts
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about LucidLink so far is that once it's installed and working, it works very seamlessly from the file manager, unlike other file sharing service I've worked with in the past. I use LucidLink every working day, and 85% of the time it has Excellent Connectivety and uploads files to the server very quickly. I havn't had to use customer support directly, but have used their FAQ pages and have found all my answers there which has been a great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
The installation process of LucidLink classic is probably the part I dislike the most. I have had multiple clients who have not been able to easily download and use which has taken up a lot more of my time, especially
when clients only need to upload a few files. I wish there was a way outside of the file manager to share files between users that may not be licensing LucidLink or LucidLink as their primary file sharing service, like other clients have.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very easily accessible from both Mac and Windows file managers, which helps my remote team working off different OS.
Easy to use, robust and reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Its dependable and easy to use. You can count on the fact that it will be there and it will work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to criticize. Haven't had any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative access to large, complex files.
A fantastic data sharing platform for a distributed VFX company
What do you like best about the product?
As a fully remote team, Lucidlink has been a game changer for us.
File transfer speeds have been the biggest boon for us as a team. Because the app can create multiple connections to transfer files, it is able to saturate a connection meaning we get speeds an order of magnitude faster than many alterantives on the market.
The sales and support team were great for us when we began discussions on the transition to their platform and made things very easy for us to get set up.
The security and admin tools in the app are incredibly easy to set up, the permissions tools make it easy to restrict access to any freelancer or external partner. The adim tools also allow for defaut configs to be deployed to new users which helps massively with the onboarding process.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall there's nothing we dislike about the platform. There are some features that would be nice to have such as a mobile app for file access on the move, the ability to share files directly from Lucidlink rather than needing to use a 3rd Party Solution and lastly it would be great if there was an intergration with platforms like Media Shuttle for direct ingest into our storage.
I believe some of these have been addressed since the release of Lucid 3 however we haven't been able to make the transition as yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned previously, the main problem Lucid has solved for us is fast access to large amounts of data that allow us to work with a much broader swath of talent across Europe which would be a lot less practical with similar platforms.
This has been a very large benefit for us as it allows us to engage with a much broader range of artists from all over Europe in ways that wouldn't be possible before we started using the platform.

Amazing cloud based NAS for remote teams
What do you like best about the product?
LucidLink just works. We've got a remote team working across the United States, often working with 1GB Photoshop documents and other large files. LucidLink allows us to work seamlessly, with files updating in the cloud automatically and reliably. It's simple and easy to connect to LucidLink and manage just as if it was an external hard drive connected to your computer. You need no special training and it just works straight "out of the box."
What do you dislike about the product?
To date, I have no complaints with LucidLink. The connection is quick, syncing is seamless, and the reliability is high. We've had no issues with data loss or corrupt files, something I can't say about other similar platforms we tried to use in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have remote designers and video editors working across the United States. Trying to manage a remote workflow is difficult, but LucidLink allows us to seamlessly work collaboratively as if we were in the same room.
