Very useful but difficult to handle

  • June 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is an extremely useful tool for remote professional teams that need immediate access to resources and project folders, as it updates in real-time. This, combined with the plugin you can install through Creative Cloud, which blocks the permission to edit when someone else has the project open and prevents it from being corrupted. In general, Lucidlink has helped speed up some processes within my company, in addition to serving as a storage place for important resources; therefore, it is a tool we use daily for our organization. Best of all, it was not difficult at all to migrate from our previous storage program to Lucidlink, being able to make the change in just 1 day.

Additionally, Lucidlink's technical support responds quickly and solves problems efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly, a lot of vital information for the smooth and trouble-free use of Lucidlink is somewhat hidden or difficult to understand for an average person. For example, for many months my team had problems with cache storage space: despite believing they had unpinned all the files they weren't using, they kept seeing that they had 100GB occupied, and they had no choice but to keep increasing and increasing the cache space infinitely. When they went online to look for solutions, they couldn't find them or simply didn't understand the steps, as many technical terms are used.

Both this and the way to view the list of pinned files, or clearing the cache, are vital actions that the average user should be able to perform without the need for extensive research and technical knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidlink solves problems such as waiting times to receive a file, or not having access to projects when the owner is not active. This helps me complete tasks more efficiently and also be more at ease when I'm off work hours, because I know that if necessary, another colleague can make adjustments to my projects if needed.
Also, being part of a company dedicated to creating advertisements for various clients (each with a different aesthetic), it is very useful to have access to the resources of other editors who work with the same client as I do, because I can not only reuse some of their creations, but also understand their workflows and techniques to learn and apply them myself.

An excellent resource to be able to work from anywhere in the world

  • June 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which you can share files in real-time with your entire team from anywhere in the world. I use it daily for my work and I think it's the best option for working remotely. It is very easy to use, you just need a good internet connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the connection fails for a few seconds despite having good internet, but since I have the files pinned, I don't have any problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink helps me a lot to access files from the cloud that I work with daily. I can be editing a video in Premiere and then pass it to my colleague in Argentina, without any problem.

Edit in LucidLink

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time collaboration: It's the closest thing to having a NAS or physical server, but entirely in the cloud. Perfect for distributed teams.

Immediate access to files: You can start editing almost instantly, without having to download all your footage.

Seamless integration with professional workflows: Ideal for Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects, as long as everything is working properly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Total dependence on an internet connection: If the connection fluctuates or drops, the project may become inaccessible, disrupting the workflow.

Adobe Issues: In some cases, Premiere or After Effects may not properly recognize files or may throw errors when opening the project, which can be frustrating during critical delivery times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving one of the biggest problems in collaborative editing: fast, organized access to large files without needing to be physically on the same local network.
Traditionally, working as a team meant sharing hard drives, using expensive servers, or relying on long transfers with services like WeTransfer or Google Drive. This created clutter, duplicates, downtime, and complicated logistics.

With LucidLink, all of that is simplified: files are available in real time to all team members, as if they were on the same computer, without having to download them completely. This has allowed me to start editing immediately, work with other editors remotely, and keep the entire project synchronized and organized.

The main benefit is that it speeds up the workflow and allows me to focus more on editing than on technical logistics, which is key in projects where time is limited and the volume of files is high. In short, LucidLink turns the cloud into a real work tool, not just a storage tool.

LucidLink: Effortlessly Powers Remote and Hybrid Teams

  • June 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about LucidLink is how seamlessly it transforms cloud storage into something that feels completely local. I can stream massive files, like 4K video or high-res design assets, instantly, without waiting for downloads or syncs. It’s a total game-changer for remote and hybrid collaboration. Our entire team, whether they’re across the office or across the world, can work on the same files in real time without any lag. It’s like having a global shared drive that actually works. On top of that, the zero-knowledge encryption gives us real peace of mind - we know our sensitive data is secure without sacrificing speed or usability. LucidLink has truly made our workflows faster, smoother, and more collaborative than ever.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, performance can depend on internet bandwidth - so if you're on a slower connection, large file streaming might lag a bit. But that’s more of a network issue than a LucidLink issue, and overall it still performs better than any other solution we've tried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidLink is solving one of the biggest challenges in modern remote collaboration - fast, secure access to large files without needing to download or sync them. Before LucidLink, we were constantly dealing with slow file transfers, version control issues, and the limitations of traditional cloud storage systems. Now, our entire team can work on massive files in real time, from anywhere in the world, as if they were stored locally. It’s streamlined our workflows, eliminated delays, and made remote and hybrid collaboration feel effortless. On top of that, LucidLink’s zero-knowledge encryption gives us the confidence that our data is secure without compromising performance. The result is faster turnaround times, more efficient teamwork, and a lot less stress.

I was surprised by the LucidLink mechanism; I had never worked with anything like it before.

  • June 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In the company where I work, it is a team effort, so the mechanism is very easy and fluid. Since everyone has to enter and manipulate files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, actually I don't know if the problem is with Lucid Link or my laptop, but sometimes it takes a long time to pin and I have to wait for everything to pin before I can start working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, my colleagues and I work at an agency that offers video editing and we use After Effects and Premiere. We work in collaboration, so the work process involves 4 different people, which makes LucidLink very functional because before we used to work on Drive and it was torture.

Acceptable

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It speeds up the remote workflow a lot, it is really intuitive to use and install, in fact, I use it every day. When we had problems, the support was efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is 100% necessary to pin work resources, I am a Davinci Resolve user and I would like to see an extension similar to the one you can find in Premiere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The storage of really large video files, the ability to generate a folder structure and maintain order. But most importantly, being able to work collaboratively with multiple editors.

experience of lucidlink

  • June 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that it has the ability to pin files locally from the cloud, that's what I appreciate the most about LucidLink. Additionally, I like that there is a plugin in Premiere to make it more fluid and dynamic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes there is a limit to how much cache can be set in Premiere, and that sometimes it doesn't load everything, and also sometimes there are errors when working with After Effects and Premiere Pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It benefits me with collaborative work with my team, we edit the same project, several people from different countries, and it makes it very smooth and fast.

Great Alternative To Google Drive For Creators

  • June 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most of my work revolves around creating videos. I noticed that my videos were experiencing compression while sharing them with my team, especially during multiple rounds of edits.

In my search to find a google drive alternative that didn't compress our video files, I found LucidLink. Not only is it easy to use, but it maintains the quality of files without compression.
What do you dislike about the product?
Download times and connection can be slow at times, but overall, I have very few issues with LucidLink and can't really complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avoiding file compression which is common among cloud sharing software.
