Ortto for CDP

  • August 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best for us is that it's integrated with Pipedrive. We can update person fields right from activity in ortto.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data sources arent actually fully integrated, there are a lot of problems with setup. Also, there is no way to filter when importing from Pipedrive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More functionality than some other platforms like Mailchimp. Since we have code on site, we're able to update marketing quality scores based on activity like has visited a specific page on our site.. something that makes this more accurate for us to delegate to sales team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
know that they don't have any phone support, only chat.

Autopilot: the ideal tool for automating emails.

  • August 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a free 30-day package, which allows the organization to test whether it is favorable or not to incorporate it into the work management. It is a fairly light tool when learning how to use it, it has quite adaptable options and functions that prevent the adaptation to it from being complex. It is a tool that helps reduce the workload for users in their work processes, guarantees the automation of customer emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
After having used the free product for 30 days, the value of the tool is not very accessible for companies to acquire it. Other tools may be disadvantaged before by cost factor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Autopilot is a fundamental tool in work activities within organizations, we set ourselves the task of implementing the tool in some departments of the organization because through it we can create, send and synchronize all customer data. It allows us to automate the mail of our customers, it is a software that in turn allows us to send email campaigns to keep them up to date. Through it we attract the most potential customers to incorporate them into our organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Autopilot is the ideal tool for all companies, because it fulfills a variety of functions that allow optimizing the sales management and automation of the emails of the most potential customers. It is a tool that despite its variety of functions is quite easy to adapt and understandable when you start using it or involve it in your work processes, thanks to it you can also reduce the workload.

Autopilot

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can set up different journeys and the triggers, e-mail actions, and conditions are organized into different shapes and colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I dislike is when you click into a journey, you then have to click into the email that you made. But when you click on it it doesn’t open up to the labeled email, you have to scroll through the list and find it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven’t had any issues with autopilot. Prefer using it much more over mailchimp.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk to support if you need any help!

Untrustworthy: used to be a great product at a good price point

  • August 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Two years ago when I first used Autopilot I really thought it was an industry game changer. I migrated everything from Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor to it, including my company and one consulting client I had. The pricing was good (although not great, almost double what I paid for Campaign Monitor) but the features made it into a no brainer for me to switch.
What do you dislike about the product?
A month ago I received an email from Autopilot camouflaged as "We're changing our terms", it turned out it was mostly a pricing change. The prices were TRIPLED for my account. The email made it look as if the changes would be effective immediately, fortunately it was 20 days before I received my next credit card charge. I still think it was a short notice but not as bad as I originally thought. I wrote an email to the support team and got a perplexing "we're changing our pricing because it's too confusing". I immediately tweeted publicly about the changes and later on I found that as time passed by, more and more people started replying to my tweets to the company about the pricing change. There were people who did not even receive the email because they were not subscribed to the newsletter. Some of them had grandfathered accounts and to their demise, the web pages about the grandfathered accounts were effectively deleted. When they contacted support the web pages were "magically" reinstated. All this experience has been incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this untrustworthy company. I understand sometimes we have to increase prices or change revenue models, but the way Autopilot handled this (the CEO) was literally textbook on how to lie and stab your oldest and most loyal customers on the back. I do not have good feelings about the future of the company. The product has not been updated or had new features added for many months now, probably more than a year, at least for what I saw. I had this problem with the WYSIWYG editor on emails in which the newline character would make the spaces in my emails collapse or yield random spaces in the final sent email, it was never fixed in the two years I used Autopilot. Given the fact that the price for my account was increased from $50 USD to $150 USD I do not think that Autopilot is a good choice. For the price point I would probably use ActiveCampaign. I'm in the process of figuring out how to migrate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Despite the flaws I found my Autopilot journeys solved a wide array of problems for my company. I had production journeys for mailing campaigns, lead magnets and facebook audiences tied to clicks in my mails. I really thought it was a fantastical product. I even wrote my own AWS Lambda function to subscribe clients to my Autopilot mailing lists using plain HTML forms, in order not to expose my API keys through Javascript. I was deeply invested in Autopilot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be wary of the direction that the company is taking. Given the untrustworthiness I would suggest to stay away.

Don't trust them

  • July 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
They integrate with a ton of other great products and getting started is very simple. You could have an email campaign up and running in 5 minutes flat.
What do you dislike about the product?
Let me preface this by saying that they offer a great product and it’s probably worth what they’re charging for it. I've been with them through two price increases but lost trust in them after the most recent increase.

Since 2015, I had received an invoice each month after they charged my card, but never got one this month. After noticing a suspicious charge on my bank statement, I reached out to their support team and realized they had updated their pricing without notifying me.

They claim I never received an email about the changes because I had unsubscribed (could be true, they were sending at least one email every day at one point), but the fact of the matter is, customers should never be able to opt-out of important, transactional emails related to their accounts (which I never intended to do).

The new pricing model is 8x more expensive than what I had been charged under my grandfathered account (a price they promised would be honored indefinitely after their first price increase), and has left me scrambling to find a new service.

Autopilot has pushed the blame on me for not knowing about the increase, and was only willing to offer me a discount for the next year of service. Thanks, but no thanks.

Can't support a company as unethical as they are.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very easy to create and automate customer journeys. Whether that's a welcome email as soon as someone signs up, to mailing them a postcard through Lob when they reach a milestone, I'm confident anyone on my team could hop right in and understand it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Still a very new company. Maybe stick with one that has more experience under their belt, especially when it comes to customer relations.

Excellent Automation Product at a Terrific Price Point for Introductory Users

  • June 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The journey-builder is the definite highlight of Autopilot for us. Journeys are easy and intuitive to build, but have a large list of options for both triggers, conditions, and actions. Lead-tracking, analytics and email studio are all great features, but the journey-builder is the real highlight. The API is easy to use and has allowed us to integrate with our WordPress website, Twilio account and Salesforce CRM. The documentation is plentiful and helpful, as well. Finally, Autopilot is an exceptional value at the introductory price point. In our research, we were unable to find anything else with nearly the functionality for the price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some elements, including smart segments, are tricky to use and criteria cannot be edited after deploying or saving. This can easily lead to a glut of similar smart segments which clutters the interface and folders. Some elements of journeys similarly, are difficult to edit after publishing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Autopilot has given us far greater abilities to automate basic communication with prospects across a variety of channels. Previously, we were obliged to cobble together different solutions for email blasts, 1-to-1 emails, SMS, and postcards. Autopilot allows us to integrate all of these channels into a single journey, and to further integrate that journey with actions on our website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For entry-level marketing automation, Autopilot is a terrific option. If you're looking for a CRM-type product with automation, you may want to look elsewhere.

Effective and visual. A software that does the job of a marketing team.

  • June 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a visual person so being able to set shapes out in a format that tells a story or is a journey paints a clear picture of the outcome I am trying to achieve. The user can then verify this plan via shit hot customer service chat, or submit it for a full review. There are also endless articles to refer to and they are written in plain English (no technobabble). Which means you've never left hanging. The shapes themselves inspire ideas to add more to your journey and make it more effective.
Then after all of this, it's easy to present to clients because of the visual platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
What do I dislike, not much if anything? Autopilot are always making improvements to the software so it's hard to pick on anything. As an admin for many companies, I guess it would be nice to be able to enter in multiple email addresses of those who need to be made aware when an error occurs, currently these errors are only emailed to one person (for example API limitations). A future UI suggestions would be the ability to hide shapes that are not relevant (ie other CRMs). A magical wishlist item would be taking testing easier. For example, if you have a 30-day journey to be able to push a 'test' button and it sends all emails/SMS etc over an hour instead of a month showing if there are any errors in your plan.
** But you'll note that none of these things are interfering with everyday use - the system is smooth, fast and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem being solved: Marketing journeys for small businesses in a growth phase. Companies who don't have the funds to hire a marketing team but it is integral they have marketing and the automations that make the marketing transparent and actionable.
The benefits are watching the communication with customers increase which in turn increases the bottom line. Isn't that the benefit we all want to achieve?
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it for one journey and you won't want to stop.

The best way to automate digital marketing

  • May 30, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The support provided by this platform is a great help to understand the functions and features of the program, and mentioning its functions, I am delighted with all the tools that I have been able to take advantage of and automate many processes that usually take time perform, and leaves relieved the programming messages and emails with which to notify me of actions taken on the website for phones or the mail service itself in situations where there is no telephone signal.
What do you dislike about the product?
They do not have a good variation or combination of specific designs so that the emails have more details visually, they are quite basic, leaving the email inconspicuous for different purposes that usually have different emails, and it lacks migration services for those who are familiar with this. platform; Forcing them to start from scratch with their campaigns or continue working on the other tool they use at that time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automate marketing campaigns and mailing, we have reduced a good amount of time spent manually performing mails; daily, more when they have different customers who deserve different models. The major sales notifications and activity of our website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Without having done a strenuous job in organizing the automation in another program, you should consider using it, the support team will help in understanding the doubts you have about its features and functions. On the other hand, it has a visual style for pleasant programming easy to understand by new members who join in to organize the programmed.
