Good tool that needs to get more robust
What do you like best about the product?
Good tool for Product Managers who need to work on their roadmap and evaluate features, track progress (via Jira integration) and communicate across the company with various stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the system can become clunky and unresponsive, some features are lacking, some modules are over complex which result in preferring not to use them, and lastly the licensing system requires payment for some of the basic users in your organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Evaluate features, work on the roadmap, share upcoming releases internally with stakeholders and increase visibility.
A great tool for Product Teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's flexible and allows many different views, useful for other purposes (talk with your tech team, have a great idea of our roadmap, etc.). It could benefit from more templates to help small in-building product teams!
What do you dislike about the product?
As it's very flexible, it's sometimes difficult to navigate between all options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our team to:
- collect internal feedback thanks to its Slack Integration!
- organize and RICE our features
- we have also automatized our internal communication on features progress
- overview thanks to the Roadmap view
Mappings our product strategy + insights that came from different channels, we have a powerful tool to consistently deliver the right feature/improvements at the right time! It helps us to be more data-driven!

Productboard became our HQ of product insights
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we are able to centralize feedback and link each note to a specific feature is amazing. This helps us centralize and prioritize product improvements. The integrations play a big role in that too. We can also display the features on our portal, getting even more feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much that I dislike, but I do see great opportunities in automation. I would love to see a few improvements within the Jira integration. For example:
- When the status of a jira ticket is updated to in progress, it would be great if we could automate updating the productboard status to 'in progress' as well.
- When a release version is released in Jira, it would be great if the release status in productboard and all linked features are set to 'released' as well.
- It would be great if you can sync non-custom jira fields to productboard, such as labels.
Besides the Jira integration improvements, I would love a way to sync customer data with Productboard. This will help us in our prioritization even more.

Centralizing & prioritizing product feedback
Validating product pains and product opportunities

Great for analysis, decision making and showing feature release plans for delivery teams
What do you like best about the product?
I'm smitten with the field design in ProductBoard. Their admin interface design is head and shoulders above every other product planning platform out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want something that helps stakeholders understand how objectives and bets fit together, this is not the best tool for visualizing that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a tool that lets stakeholders understand and integrate with our efforts across the whole product portfolio. PB seems to be more for analysis for product teams to choose what feature to go with.
It helps you prioritize, not just organize
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of product management tools out there help you organize tasks that need to be done, but productboard is one of the few that helps you prioritize the endless list of feature requests. We use it to determine how we can make the most impact to the end user based on our current OKRs and the effort each feature request will take.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot of functionality in productboard, so you can get lost sometimes. I find comments on Features can be easy to miss, since they are so far down on the Feature view. Even a quick link at the top of the Feature view to skip to comments could be nice (similar to the See Reviews link at the top of an Amazon product page).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found that productboard's view customization (roadmaps, hierarchies, etc.) have allowed us to create the right views for each business unit. We have an objectives-focused high level roadmap for executives, a task board view for the product/design team, and a general hierarchical list for all feature ideas, which we go through when we're evaluating the features for the next quarter. This has helped me as a product manager share the information necessary for each partner which has increased transparency and member satisfaction across the team.
Great tool for higher level road mapping and feature planning
What do you like best about the product?
Product focused. Flexible ways to define your products and features, and visualize your plans from different perspectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not mobile friendly and no mobile apps. Much of the reason I moved to it from more rudimentary methods was to capture ideas and adjust priorities, which happens constantly and thus inherently is needed from a phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product road mapping, feature planning and prioritization, sharing plans for product plans and progress.
A centralised place for your customer feedback
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to pipe feedback from multiple sources, categorise and add details allows us to then use that as a starting point for product design and research.
What do you dislike about the product?
We want to be able to export all the notes along with the email of the person who said the thing (and their name, company etc) but until recently it's been impossible. Now it's possible but buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralising requests from customers. Prioritising based on popularity. Finding people interested in features and returning to them for research.
Great Prioritization
What do you like best about the product?
Prioritization can track strategic objectives, business value, effort estimations, and a ton more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Easy to fat-finger an unintended change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prioritization and aligning Business/IT has been a success. We are hoping to get adoption from additional business users so we also capture feedback directly in productboard.
I didn't think I needed a SaaS solution for product management…
What do you like best about the product?
The roadmapping feature is great. Prior to this, I was constantly updating Google slides and consolidating my teams roadmap. Now we all collaborate in one place and the process is simple and straightforward. I also love how you can connect customer conversations directly to features cross reference.
What do you dislike about the product?
Please add the ability to drag roadmap features between releases. Also allow Google authentication in the lower price point offerings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Voice of the customer input, roadmapping, prioritization. A central solution for all of the above.
Intuitive and fun to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to input insights all in one place regardless of if it's coming from Sales, Customer Success, or Product. It's got great visualization features and it's a thoughtful design for product teams. If you have a product team that is just starting out and getting organized, Productboard has a lot of best practices that help standardize product ops.
What do you dislike about the product?
The processing of insights can be finicky at times, and it gets frustrating. When you are highlighting a sentence and attaching it to a feature, sometimes it doesn't do what you want it do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing of product insights
Communicating priority across different teams and internal stakeholders
Scoring/ranking feature ideas
Using it as a central location where all the product teams can stay up to date with each other
