Great tool to be more customer focused
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to collect all related feedback, issues, recommendations, etc against features or even just components. It's best if you structure your features in a jobs-to-be-done framework so even if you don't have a solution planned you can group the problems to solve. We're able to link Slack comments, notes from meetings, notes from customer interviews, support tickets, emails, etc all on a feature. This helps to see what is getting the most attention but also when scoping you don't miss a scenario
What do you dislike about the product?
The road mapping tools are continuously improving but there need to be some improvements on summing effort from sub-features to features. Additionally, it would be helpful if we could set planned "capacity" so the roadmap could help us group or alert if we're overcommitted
A great improvement for Portal would be a way for users to see what others have listed for insights and vote so we don't have to manually group common feedback

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to do roadmaps in spreadsheets and this is much easier to update and communicate. I love all the different views to adjust based on audience
Its been a god send to collate feedback. We used to get pinged all the time via email or slack, and then I had to take notes and try to group. Now we can easily link all feedback to features and problems to solve. It's helping to be more customer-focused and work on important vs urgent.

Best tool for product management out there!
What do you like best about the product?
It's one source of truth for our product planning & customer research & feedback. Everyone on the team knows what we're working on and what's coming next. It gives everyone all information and context they need. We love Productboard! ❤️
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing we don't like. We would love a desktop app at some point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting our team aligned on product vision and roadmap
Great for documentation, but needs work
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you have your own personal "inboxes" where you notes exist until you place them into an appropriate bucket or category. I also like the tagging abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The actually note taking abilities is limited. Not much formatting or categorizing.I'm also confused by this "processed"/"no processed" workflow. I would like it if I could share specific note categories with other teams. For example, my team has a category of notes called "user research" and we'd love to give access to our CX team for only those notes. But right now, if you give access to someone, they can see everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User research note taking, product and feature requests.
Prioritisation easy to manage
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to maintain and update the items.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not able to move items up and down in all the views
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prioritization of product features and evangelize
Helpful for stakeholder management
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards, the holistic approach and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low ability of "free" users - people with grade lower than "creator" have very limited possibilities of interacting with the dashboards and tasks at hand, which forces users to employ outside task management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prioritization of work and visibility of progress to upstream. By far.
My go-to tool for turning qualitative data into quantitative data.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that ProductBoard is customer-focused and allows us to make product decisions and a roadmap based on input from a variety of sources (email, customer support, surveys, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could filter feature views by the way I've tagged our customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showing C-Level folks qualitative data I've distilled from quantitative work. Updating a roadmap based on customer feedback and business goals. Pairing business objectives with customer needs. Giving our VIP customers an email to post feedback and ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Beautifully designed product with well thought out features. Product Board releases new features regularly and has become one of my must-have tools as a product person.
Ok but lots of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like the product portal, gathering user feedback is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Feedback loops are terrible in this product. Asking follow up questions to a group of respondents is not possible in the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Road mapping and customer voting on features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a product that will allow you complete customer feedback loops look elsewhere. If you want something to gather one off opinions and great JIRA integration, this is for you.
Productboard allows me to maintain an organized, up-to-date database of qualitative feedback
What do you like best about the product?
Productboard makes it easy to quickly work through hundreds of pieces of qualitative feedback from many different sources and people. I can then tie that feedback to research insights and feature ideas to inform product decisions at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Productboard is oriented toward the product roadmap, but sometimes I just want to log research insights about our users more broadly. I have found workarounds for this, but I wish there was some distinction between product-specific feedback and general findings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used productboard to successfully synthesize thousands of pieces of qualitative feedback about both specific products and our user experience as a whole. We have used that synthesis to shape our product roadmap each quarter and iteratively improve our offerings.
Organise all of your user and product feedback in one place – something for the entire team
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Portal, where we as a team can surface some of the brightest user-led ideas and products we're thinking about launching. It's great that users can vote on these as well. It's super organised.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't really gotten to grips with the Roadmap feature – we're not yet at the stage where we release so methodically. At first, it was definitely a little intimidating at first – but our customer success manager who helped us through everything, was super valuable. They booked a time that was convenient for us to chat about what we needed to do and use in order to make the most out of our productboard experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a unified place where all feedback about our product and service is collated. It's amazing to have it all so organised and in plain view. We've now superpowered our decision-making and now have a streamlined process in which we can really, truly, deeply understand the potential impacts of the features we're thinking about and the direction we want to go into in order to best serve our users. Without productboard, none of this would be possible – we used to live in a world where we had disjointed feedback, in random spreadsheets, in dropboxes, all sorts of different places – now, not only do we have a single one-stop-shop, we now also have a place where we can easily communicate to the team (in both a quantitative and qualitative way) why we're shipping a certain update or feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're thinking about productboard, do definitely go for it!
Bringing visibility to your users
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the views and layouts, helping users understand your priorities easily
What do you dislike about the product?
When roadmap steps are empty, more information could be brought forward
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting visibility on products we use, planning for the coming changes, suggesting improvements
