Productboard is a great tool for increasing roadmap visibility across teams
What do you like best about the product?
I like to see my product's pipeline from research to completion in one view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not crazy about the Jira integration, doesn't seem very tight
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
increasing visibility with stakeholders and across product teams
Product management by the book
What do you like best about the product?
Opinionated feature set for managing a product allowing you to organize prioritize and communicate scope while keeping it well connected to the dev teams. Great when adoption is large and teams put in time to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira integration isnt working in scenarios where teams want to create tickets in Jira which become orphans in PB. This creates friction and PB simply is not addressing this. I have teams that churned to airtable or TRELLO for this reason.

Product and project Portfolio management. Ability to track many projects in Jira. Prioritization and product release notes

If you are looking for a simple Product management tool, go for it.
EXTREMELY Helpful in Distilling Inputs and Developing a Product Strategy
What do you like best about the product?
The life of a Product Manager is not easy. Roadmap/feature request organization, actionability, and flexibility is a major challenge. The challenge is difficult when you are dealing with a product that has multiple modules, let alone those modules being deeply connected to an even larger array of modules.
I long since knew that a tool was needed, but was never satisfied until Productboard. I tried tools offered by Jira and G-Suite, Trello, Monday.com, and ProductPlan. They all made some things easier, but also made other elements of my job harder. Productboard is powerful and flexible, the integrations are spectacular, and it works consistently too. My entire team can collaborate in the tool with ease. I still have more features to try, but have been very satisfied after 3 months.

What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes, but I do have a feature request. Like anything tool, things can get disorganized and lost if you allow them. It would be great if there were notifications to remind users to take action on something if it's been ## days since the last change was made. That little nudge would go a long way!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Enhances decision making

Checks off a lot of boxes for my workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I love how simple they have made the macro-level workflows with the four key buckets Insights, Features, Roadmaps, and Portal. I feel we, as product leaders, can easily fall into the trap of complicating our workflows due to the sheer volume and complexity of our product. ProductBoard has become my favorite way of getting to what truly matters quickly and efficiently. I have found that ProductBoard has help me develop some very disciplined habits. Also, one additional favorite of mine is the objective based timelines within Roadmaps. Stakeholders do not want to spend a bunch of time looking over all the various features, but rather, would prefer to understand what you are trying to achieve on the macro levels. ProductBoard has allowed me to clearly state, through Objectives, what my intent is on a roadmap. Being able to get buy-in with stakeholders easily makes this tool worth every dollar.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of connecting highlighted notes within Insights to a feature from the Insights window is a bit tedious. After highlighting, the window for selecting a feature is too small and only allows me to create a single feature at a time. Having the ability to create multiple features for a highlighted insight without closing the window could add some value. I believe this would allow me the ability to formulate quick thoughts around a full set of features quickly and not slow down my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that ProductBoard has solved for me revolve around intake, prioritization, strategic planning, and communication. Another key benefit is how ProductBoard flows directly from product strategy into development workflows through integrations with Jira, and vice-versa. The ability to send prioritize work directly to development teams with the ability to see up-to-date status by feature puts me in the driver's seat for the entire product development process. My project managers feel empowered, my developers feel well-informed, and I feel confident knowing it is all in a centralized and manageable workspace.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My best recommendation when considering ProductBoard is to think about your entire workflow as a product leader. Consider all the roads leading in and all of the roads leading out. After using the tool for a while, I can confidently say that it has solved 95% of my headaches with other solutions.
Great product conceptually, but has some painful UI issues
What do you like best about the product?
I think the best thing about ProductBoard is how it allows me to organize and categorize feedback into larger problems and themes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI around entering feedback into ProductBoard is quite painful. While manually entering notes/feedback, the cursor skips around randomly. And when highlighting notes to tie them to features, the icon to attach them to a feature doesn't always appear. Copying text into the notes field also does not work all the time. Finally, direct integrations from Jira don't translate easily with context easily lost as fields are moved over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProductBoard allows my organization to centralize feedback across multiple sources into one spot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're using integrations to collect insights/notes from other places like slack or Jira, make sure you really test them out before starting those workflows. It's important that fields in Jira and Slack forms or tickets are well aligned to the notes in ProductBoard or you'll just end up with one big mess.
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Productboard has an easy-to-use interface with a flexible model that allows us to track various inputs on each of our feature requests and planned components. This makes it easy to compare and evaluate features for upcoming development. Finally, Productboard easily integrates with our development tool (JIRA) to communicate across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The primary method of capturing customer input (insights) does not link to the process of evaluating potential features in the features section, requiring this tracking to be performed manually. This limits our ability to tie our development directly to user input.
Further, the relatively high cost of the per-user pricing model limits accessibility for various stakeholders to provide a simple scoring input on the features as part of the evaluation, limiting collaboration within the tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Productboard, we are managing direct requests from customers and project managers, grouping and evaluating these requests, and using the tool to prioritize development. We are also using the tool to track and evaluate our roadmap, though the functionality is very limited.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Productboard is by far the most user-friendly tool of those that we evaluated on the market. I would recommend the product to anyone considering product management tools. Productboard has room to grow in road mapping and supporting input from internal and external stakeholders but excels in feature evaluation and grouping.
Solid Feature Organization with many options for viewing
What do you like best about the product?
Product Board offers many different views for your features that let you organize the data to customize the experience for different audiences. Knowing the drivers for a feature may be more insightful for one audience, while for others, the feature release date is more important. Productboard supports all of these different views, as well as roadmaps for displaying these features. The software also offers an insights feature that lets the user link feedback directly to a feature to provide that extra context. The software also offers a portal feature that looks promising, though we have not actively used in our use of the software yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customization options can be a little overwhelming. Fields exist at the account level and can be hidden in different views but are still visible across different product segments. Making Product Board fit the various products that we manage has required us to adopt a more uniform approach in the software.
Reporting out on updates or customizing who gets notified about certain features moving may be more helpful than the full summary email of all activity that is currently availabe.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Productboard to help us manage our features roadmap. Using Productboard has created greater visibility for our teams and allowed our Success team to contribute more easily with ideas that come in from the customers. The scoring of features and tagging can help to filter and sort the views to make the views more useful for the various audiences.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The implementation of Productboard may require some time to learn to make it fit your workflow, but it offers great customization and offers many different views into your features roadmap.
ProductBoard works pretty well. Not a Perfect Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create new features and subfeatures. The additional information that you can add into a feature is also very useful. It's also nice how it integrates with Jira to allow you to push features and subfeautres as Epics and User Stories. I also like the ability to gather input from external sources that allows you to better write out requirements
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems at times very difficult to navigate between views (so from features/subfeatures board to roadmaps). Visibility for others is also some times difficult. Getting features to appear on the roadmap also is confusing at first but figured it out over time. I think the ability to add more detail to the roadmap view would help. Also adding additional swimlanes, or breaking out features into different swimlanes was either not possible as I would want it, or required some manual changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to help build out the requirements for our features and subfeatures. We also use it to gather external and internal feedback for each of our products. It also works well for collaborating with otehr Product Managers in our organization
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your organization is large and you receive external feedback that can be routed and tagged to features in Productboard then it is a valuable tool. Also if your organization requires large amounts of coordination among Product Managers to define an overall roadmap then it is worth using. For smaller organizations it may not be necessary.
Excellent tool for managing Product requests, bugs, backlog and roadmap
What do you like best about the product?
Productboard provides many different channels to pull in customer needs and problems to solve. All of this flows into a single place with INSIGHTS, allowing Product Managers a more focused area to see what your customers need. Once you have clarified the details related to the request, you can easily create new feature requests and link the two together. This capability provides excellent traceability from customer requests straight to items in your backlog.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you do not decide early on how you will build your FEATURES hierarchy, the organization of your backlog will quickly spiral out of control. Avoid creating sub-features, and keep your feature requests at a higher level aligned with standard user stories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to intake customer requests and problems much better and see the product areas we need to improve or fix.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan how you want to organize features and clearly define who will be reviewing the insights inbox regularly.
