We use Notion every day and it’s vital to how we share information
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to create content in different formats. Paragraphs of text. Kanban boards. Tables.
Really easy to share with others in the organization and collaborate.
Really easy to share with others in the organization and collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be easier to work with certain types of content elements. When I'm trying to select blocks of text for example, it can be confusing. Also I've had weird things happen when editing bulleted lists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organize my company to work in a distributed manner. Makes it easy to write things down and share those things and collaborate around them asynchronously and get aligned.
Best cross-platform easy to use app for notes making
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use. Simple copy and paste work very simply while adding images, tables or other content. Importing also works very well. Further working simultaneously with other people also helps for more productivity. Being cross-platform hence it makes it easier to use even while we don't have access to the main pc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Image import only in the centre is available, we cant add multiple images side by side or an image with text along its side, it only happens continuously. Also, there is no grouping of the similar document is available, which makes work cumbersome to manage after you have a large no of files for similar types. Also exporting documents to only limited formats are available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes notes, documents making very easier. Being an easy to use the app without any prior knowledge required, it becomes very handy to manage documents, notes etc in a simple way. It helps me save time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its very simple to use so there is no learning required to do basic needs in note-taking or document or project making. It makes work simpler
Pleasant and functional space for optimal digital work
What do you like best about the product?
It is a functional and flexible platform to organize all tasks and documentation around the office. It allows the administration of databases and these can be connected to each other and also provides great value to interconnect information between different departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is a bit slow to load information and some other functions such as hyperlinks, it would be great to update and improve it as well as diversify the work templates, undoubtedly this would give an extra and valuable plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As the manager of the marketing area of the company I work with FPC, adopting various tools that are flexible for the performance of my team, including myself, is super important, since it allows an optimal performance and notion has been vital to meet all the objectives proposed in our monthly schedule of marketing activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To the companies if they are about to implement it, first do the free trial and after evaluation hire the business plan I mention it based on the provision of unlimited resources of the sotfware that I saw that had that plan.
Great documentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love all the documentation features notion has
What do you dislike about the product?
The shortcuts aren't obvious and you have to google them. The features themselves are the easiest to set up either. Some don't work the way I want it to but there isn't a lot of flexibility either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation collaboration with the team.
Great tool for HR onboarding and other intranet options
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and set up and permissions can be set to allow for specific access to certain parts of the site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it works perfect for what our small company needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way to share information about our company in an easy to use format.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot, it's perfect for communicating info across the org
Advanced digital notebook for notes, journaling, guides, and more
What do you like best about the product?
This software, along with several more advanced features, can be enjoyed for free, making it an extremely accessible tool. The most impressive aspect of this software, however, is the ability to reference existing content within itself. A user can reference existing content through the standard linking of another page or by using my favorite feature -synced blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a person who enjoys using this software and free software, I'm at a bit of a crossroads. I find extreme value in using this software as an individual user and frankly would like to be able to share that value within a collaborative setting. Collaboration is possible but at a cost that is a bit on the steeper side, in my opinion. There were also some features that I felt should be relatively standard to free software (such as printing a complete pdf) which require the premium license. Outside of price, however, I find that the mobile app is sometimes difficult to use on the iPad. I find it much more convienient to use a computer when working in Notion if I am doing a lot of formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has been able to fulfill a wide range of solutions for me. Task-wise, I have used it as a journal, for taking notes, to create guides/manuals, and as a way to organize lists. It has allowed for me to improve my organization since it is consistently available to me on multiple devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Formatting a page from an iPad can be difficult sometimes if using some of the more advanced block types.
Great platform for content management!
What do you like best about the product?
It's a powerful tool that allows creating a self-service knowledge base for the employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features do not work well, and the platform doesn't feel seamless sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing the whole content and thus creating a centralized self-service knowledge base for the company.
Easy to use and organize information
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to make checklists and knowledge articles. It's very easy to integrate other tools such as files, images, google drive, whimsical, etc. Anyone can also create pages which is useful when you're trying to build knowledge articles. Different departments use it so as a company you can see pages that other departments have created.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how sometimes when you're dragging an item to a column that it can get lost. Sometimes the page can end up at the top or bottom and you don't know where it went.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some problems we are trying to solve are to onboarding of new teams mates, knowledge sharing, and task management. If there is client information we try to create guides so that the next person who takes the account has a general overview of the account.
Completeness, customizability, clarity and calm
What do you like best about the product?
It calls itself the everything app, and rightly so. Right from tasks, calendars, todo lists, Kanbans, timelines to notes, databases and tables, Notion has been my go to solution for almost every project of mine. The best feature is its extreme customizability, where it is unbeaten by any other competing apps. You can create your productivity system from ground up using Notion's templates, as many have done. It has a vibrant community of content creators and productivity geeks who keep releasing new templates for us to use. The newly released API also allows some critical integration with apps like calendar, todo list and automation tools like Zapier, Automate.io
What do you dislike about the product?
The android app could use some UX improvement - it becomes tough even to check off tasks, let alone create or move them around. Recurring tasks are another feature still being sorely missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is my productivity setup, wherein I manage my tasks, projects, databases for notes, my finances and links I find across the web. I can customize the elements based on my use case, ensure they're easily sortable and searchable, and reminders are easy to set up. I can't imagine what a powerhouse this is going to be as its integrations and features keep expanding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best for those looking for a cumulative database product. Good for large scale project management. For short tasks, prefer smaller apps with better Android/iOS provisions
Great organizational/collaborative tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's a collaborative way to organize projects and share information (like how to, training materials, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
I dot like that everything can be edited by anyone. It's sometimes hard to not accidentally edit a page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us to share training materials and mark milestones, etc. the goal setting and tracking capabilities are great
