It’s a great way to create a custom inventory for whatever you want.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's fairly complex to learn. I like figuring things out myself and building my own templates but it seems like it's easier to use a pre-built template than create your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to keep track of blog posts. I track various properties and notio allows me to sort them in multiple ways.
The best tool for private notes and team collaborations

Databases, open API, easy collaboration, markdown and the best wyswyg I ever seen.

An Operational System for Your Company
What do you like best about the product?
The strength of Notion resides in its flexibility. Because of the different types of blocks that can be rearranged in infinite layouts, it can act as a Knowledge Base, an Intranet, a Strategy/OKR Board, Team Directory and so on… The possibilities are endless. It's the central piece of software that enables a lean and agile company.
What do you dislike about the product?
As it is aiming to be used professionally, it has to evolve to be faster and more reliable. Although flexible, the way it was built, as a web app, requires it to be online to work (no caching or offline syncing) and the navigation is clunky, as it is required to reload the whole interface with every new screen you navigate to. It's usable, but a front-end overhaul is needed for it to achieve excellence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is our company's central hub, aligning vision, progress and simplifying communication. It also reduces new team member onboarding friction, because it focus all the learning curve on a single tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Terrific flexibility in terms of what you can do with content: layout, arrangement and sharing. Really easy to use. I use it for all my client communication i.e. as a sort of landing page for tracking content and communications. It's also a great content tool in terms of arranging playbooks and the templates are excellent, eg I use the Wiki template for playbook content because it adds the menu automatically. . Brilliantly simple To-do management approach. This is where content management is headed and it's light project management without all the charts and complications. Terrific tool for a salesperson who needs to manage buyer content and interactions, which is my own main use. Also starting to use it as a publishing tool for playbooks and content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None really. Like all tools you have to get used to it, but that doesn't take long. Service response is excellent. Will be interesting to see if Notion allows users / companies to have their own domain / shorter URL. I hope they don't end up sacrificing the ease of use and flexibility on the altar of the enterprise market, which ruins so many products but apparently makes the vendor a lot more money.
Great User-Friendly Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Notion is a user-friendly platform. It's a great tool for companies to use as a knowledge management platform as there are a lot of features that are convenient to use (I especially like the Table of Contents feature!). I also like how quick the Notion team is to get back to me whenever I have any inquiries, and they also follow up to ensure that my issues have been resolved. Great customer service! I am still fairly new to using Notion so I still need to explore my other options to see how I can fully utilize it to its' full potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only 2 features that I wish could be added to Notion that would be visible to users with Admin access:
1) Access to a list of all Notion pages created by users under our company's account, this would make it a lot easier for me to ensure that all company content on Notion is up-to-date. At the moment, I am just searching through what I can but having a list available would be very convenient.
2) The ability to see which user created a Notion page, rather than just the ability to see who was the last person to edit a page

I currently use this tool to support the onboarding process of our New Hires. It's a great way to keep information tied together in one spot while easily giving them access to other relevant pages. I prefer to keep training content in one spot, as opposed to using multiple platforms which can get confusing.
I know that our management teams also like to use Notion for their team's individual growth plans to keep them on track with their performance month-by-month. It's a great tool for this task since you can customize the page exactly to how you want while sharing access with certain users, a great privacy feature.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool if you're looking to create information/content that needs to be shared with members of your team, especially since you can create private or public pages. Since it's fully customizable, you can be creative with how you use Notion and tailor it to your specific needs. I would recommend doing your research before using Notion to ensure you are maximizing on the benefits of using this platform.
Simple Note Organization
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the UI is easy to navigate and that there are many options for customizing the format of a note. I like that there are many templates ready to use, I use the Task List to keep track of my progress during development sprints.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Team Plan limits the amount of block storage available and forces an upgrade to get more space. I think it would be nice to allow for more space if the team is smaller.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to stay organized and reference and update my notes while working. It benefits me by allowing me to quickly get information for a specific feature/bug that I prepared before the development sprint.
One of the best KMS options in the game today
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a really spectacular piece of software, with a great level of flexibility. I've used it to organize tons of product planning documents in a rather complex hierarchy and have been delighted at how it rewards my resourcefulness. I'm not an engineer, but I have a background in coding and I want to be able to work with data intelligently. Notion isn't a traditional database, but you can use filters and formulas to interface with it like it is. I've tried a lot of other tools with similar goals - Craft, Almanac, Coda, Obsidian - and I think Notion has the best balance of flexibility, collaboration support, and customization. Really stellar.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion's one weakness is that it lacks some of the more data-oriented features that I'd want, things related to automations that I've been able to imitate with formulas but in ways that are unintuitive or clumsy to work with. Coda is the one KMS that has the comprehensive tools for working with tabled data that I'm looking for, such as buttons that can have formulas/behaviors associated with them. If Notion added that sort of functionality I would never look back.
Also, it's worth mentioning that the Notion desktop app is pretty useless. For whatever reason, it seems like a strictly slower version of the website while also lacking support for tabs. I think if Notion can figure out how to make a desktop app that really improves the experience I would be more inclined to keep it installed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I make dozens of documents for each monthly release, and they follow a specific hierarchy: one monthly release, with four or five weekly releases in it, and each of those releases has five or six events to plan. In addition, I plan out the needed art assets for each release, associate those individual assets with commissions, and then associate those commissions with the artists that make them. The templates make it effortless for me to spin up new instances of all of these things, and the relations between tables give me smart ways to consolidate all the information about the project and understand how much progress we've made.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's a great community of Notion users out there, so see how others are using this tool and it will help you understand what it can do for you!
Formatting can be quite difficult even if you are a power user.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to organize my personal and business documentation. It is a useful wiki and tracker. The organization hierarchy is very helpful for me to see visually in the side panel.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the formatting and proprietary keystrokes. Embedding often does not align within blocks easily. Search is not always accurate. Need more integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to store internal documentation, meeting notes, personal notes, and to-do lists. I can organize it in a variety of ways that allows my team better access to resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Duplication of databases can happen quite often, be wary of how you organize your information.
Makes organizing my notes and company pages a breeze. Especially with their mobile app.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating pages and variety of formatting options makes using Notion more desirable than the other tools I've used. Notion has made its pages look inviting and professional at the same time, so we've made internal and external resources with our Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
The colors are very pale and don't pop, making it harder (for myself) to quickly see areas I'd like to highlight. Also, editing Hyperlinks is challenging and takes some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating my company's internal and external resources is easy and aesthetically pleasing. Ultimately, I spend less time and money trying to find someone to build these pages bc I can quickly build them myself, which makes me more productive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to learn how Notion works and can best help you and your company's needs. Google templates people are making, and research shortcuts to using Notion to navigate the software seamlessly.
