amazing usable app to organize your work and life
What do you like best about the product?
it is like a website, so easy to use. Pure productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
difficult to answer, almost nothing, to include tables (yours, suggestions, new ones...) sometimes is no so clear
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i move from asana to notion, it is much more visual
Super helpful
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality -- I can write quick product briefs, brainstorm as a group, and share our ideas more broadly across the company. It was also super helpful when onboarding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tables -- there are very limited formats available, and it's a challenge to 1) copy/paste the tables, 2) format the tables, and 3) add comments on specific sections of a table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps to solve these problems that a Product Manager faces on a daily basis: brainstorming, planning, roadmap-ing, and sharing ideas across cross-functional stakeholders.
Very customizable and contains tons of functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been most helpful for long-form documentation and task management. The database views and database relations have been very helpful. I also love all the different options of properties within a database, and being able to sort/filter on all of them. The ability to gate access page by page has been a treat.
What do you dislike about the product?
Improved integration with Toggl (3rd party app), or creating timer property (play and stop button?) in a database item would be awesome. Being able to estimate tasks and have the actual time spent as a property has been one of the biggest pain points over the last year and a half.
Basecamp handles company announcements well. I don't have specific recommendations for Notion, but I would encourage them to look at Basecamp Message Boards for reference. Being able to make company announcements clearly to technical and non-technical audiences has been one of the biggest hangups for us from completely switching to Notion. Non-technical folks seem intimidated by Notion at times.
Not having direct messages may be negative with Notion. Folks have to use Slack or another 3rd party system until this feature would exist.
Overall I think Notion is close to having everything I need to use standalone, but some of the functionality above requires me to turn to other 3rd party options.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mentioned earlier, but Notion has helped me tremendously with long-form documentation. I use Notion as a wiki to document everything I do.
I really can't stress how awesome the database views are too.

If Paper and Google Docs had a beautiful baby (including the growing pains)
What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatility in how you can format and present information. Notion is easy to use and customize the way you'd like and makes it simple to present information in an engaging way that also makes sense. It also has a robust data engine that allows you to reference other docs and build out formulas (something I'm not familiar with but have seen others leverage and it's super cool)
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain features I would use for collaborating don't work so well - like linking out to a section of the document to share is super buggy if the doc gets to a certain size. Also, being listed as a collaborator on a document can be a nightmare because you can't mute the notifications unless you remove yourself from the document. Support was responsive with this issue and I think they're working on it, but it's not up to par with a Paper or Google Doc in this area yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion gives me more freedom to visually present information the way I would like it, compared to Google Docs which is too rigid and without half the formatting capabilities. I've built launch plans and briefs with images and tables and it all around was simple and intuitive.
Excellent Project Management and Brainstorming Software
What do you like best about the product?
Excellently intuitive UI with a clean finish to the various workspace layouts you can have. Clear and concise instructions on how best to use the software to meet your individual needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was slightly daunting to begin with and we were presented with almost too many different ways of presenting our workspaces within the introduction/ quick guide tour. However, the helpful articles and templates allowed us to get our heads around it pretty quickly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for project tracking and company management within a small team. Having previously used a host of Google Suite products, Notion allowed us to consolidate this information into one central database that was much easier to navigate/ browse.
Also was a replacement for Monday.com when it came to project tracking.

Notion is like Google services but so much better
What do you like best about the product?
My friend introduced me to notion in 2019. I could see how passionate he was about organising his life on notion pages and in data bases. So I decided to give it a try. After a month of playing around I realized how genius the platform is.
The platform is like combination of your paper note book, database management system, link storage and collaboration space.
Imagine having a desktop. Normally you can have shortcuts (little square logos) to word, excel, jpg files. But what if you can have a full size picture, a text next to it, underneath links to sources and a calendar, and somewhere on the side filtered data from the database? Sounds fantastic, I know. No other software can organize information in such a convenient way.
Since then I use it for everything, from daily task, to friends and family network management, to university notes, to building complex CRM & SRM systems.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are barely any glitches. If I compare it to Microsoft ecosystem, it's like black and white. Microsoft is growing fast but with loads of imperfections. Notion is growing slow but steadily. My only fear is that this service is so cool that they might charge at one point in the future more than I can afford. Their software is more than I could wish for, but there are no alternatives. Meaning, if I ever will be forced to leave, I have no idea how to extract all the data without getting lost in it. For now it is possible to extract in a form of a pdf or excel file. It is better than nothing, but if you have large set of data in various formats, it is a problem. I am so happy to have my life organized on notion, but it freaks me out if I won't have access to it or have to move to other service for whatever reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a unique software that combines various data formats (text, pictures, excel tables, links etc) in a convenient layout with a very user friendly interface. I had no previous experience working with database management, but now I organize everything there.
Great tool to keep notes and documents structured in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Notion lets me share notes and documents with my team and provides the features to keep everything organized and easy to find. We were able to get rid of loose documents and bad file structuring.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are glitches sometimes that caused our data to be inaccessible for a while, this was solved with help from Notion's customer support. The iOS app also has a glitch where the app shifts around content or freezes when you reopen it from running the app in the background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the situation where our .txt files are all over the place. Meeting notes can be easily kept together with other project documentation. It is also the place where company policies and similar documents are kept and updated if necessary.
Simple and extremely efficient organization tool
What do you like best about the product?
The vast possibility of views in the databases, and that allows you to organize things in your own way, either with tables or regular notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning could be a little bit complicated to learn
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping me to organize my to-do lists, my meeting notes and to create and manage complex projects with different areas involved
Notion is affordable, free and very easy.
What do you like best about the product?
I like draft templates, it gives a lot of idea for creation of my own template in Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
When user create account in Notion, the documention about how to use it are sent to him or her.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion support team is very professional. They help me to solve one problem in short time.
All-in-one Personal and Work Management Tool that offers me everything I need
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best is that it is so versatile - it offers me options to structure and manage information exactly as I want it. The best part is that it helps me structure information in a way that I structure things in my head so as a consequence I can find information much quicker.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing that I'm missing a bit in Notion is a bit stronger task management - I would like to see options for managing projects that could be broken down into tasks and subtasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Above all Notion helps me store and organize all the information that I want to save and process for later use. It also helps me structure large plans and brake them down into smaller parts such as tasks which gives me clarity over my priorities.
