Notion is a beautiful, powerful replacement for a typical wiki
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has an attractive and snappy UI. I appreciate the power of being able to define databases (tabular data that can be filtered, have related data, etc) defined right within the UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all of the power that Notion provides, there are inevitable complexities. Notion is the first wiki-style tool I've used where I felt that training was warranted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion replaces our self-hosted wiki, which means less effort spent by us as an org on managing a wiki, but also the UI is so much better than the wiki we had that more than just engineers can pitch in on documentation. Allowing non-engineers to be included is a huge lift.
Great software for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible software that allows me to take notes and plan projects, also collaborate with coworkers across departments
What do you dislike about the product?
Databases are still a little basic, could have more excel-like functionality but it doesn't really get in the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a place to keep everything that is searchable and flexible
Flexible and versatile
What do you like best about the product?
We like that we can design our own databases, we've been able to do on Notion the things that other paid services offer. It's all in one place which we like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion isn't opinionated in its fields or templates, which means we have more flexibility but we also need to think more about how to set up our databases. More templates could be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion seems like an operating system that can handle our different data needs. It could help if it had more granular permissions, or a way to see which pages are shared and which aren't. Maybe some sort of tags or flags at the top of the pages
My favorite platform for collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
For the prod-dev delivery team, Notion truly has it all: an intuitive UI, powerful integrations with other platforms like Jira and Figma, and a thriving community of Notion Nerds to help you build almost any page you can dream of. The databases are my bread and butter—they can be used in so many ways! The Notion support team is also helpful and quick to reply.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much—there are a few annoying quirks, like lack of an "upvote" functionality and the need to use an external form builder (Tally works well), and the mobile app is a bit lackluster—but overall the team is responsive to user needs and seems to listen to their community in terms of building and improving features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses Notion for documentation of all our projects, which we store as database records. We can then use these records to populate roadmap views for leadership meetings, as well as link other databases of features and teams to get visibility into where we're spending our resources.
Databases are the highlight, but finicky
What do you like best about the product?
The databases are great. It really is the leg up that Notion has, as well as the ability to create and utilize template pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The databases are so finicky. Databases also don't always make sense to utilize, but the tables are so wildly basic that you are forced to use the databases when they may not be necessary. I also think that Notion feels extremely overwhelming to people because of "+" options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is wonderful for Product Requirement Documents. It solves my needs for internal Product, Design, and Engineering collaboration and documentation, but definitely feels too complex for non-technical teams (x-functional stakeholders) to utilize.
The best app till date to declutter your mind
What do you like best about the product?
I like everything about notion , the ease of how we can create custom pages and how effectively it can be used in daily life , just amazing
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Notion as of now there customer feedback is very responsive and the updates are very promising,I am in Love with this app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am an architect I use notion to run my companies management system where everything in the company is handled over there and it's ease of managing documents is impressive
Productivity Perfection
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create large databases that can be a central source of truth. In addition, having varied views of this same database is a great way to break down information into digestible amounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's still missing some integration features that I would love to see - primarily with Slack. What's great about Notion is that they are always working to improve and drop updates frequently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my team, we are using Notion for project management and task tracking. We just implemented a new "roadmap" today, and it will help us provide clarity on client accounts by using linked database views. We are also using it as a knowledge base for internal and external use.
The Best Tool For Students
What do you like best about the product?
Notion enables you to easily consolidate your notes into a central location and then organise them in tables. The app is very good for students wanting to collect notes, research or to write and then group all you work for a single class together with nicely presented notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion doesn't provide the best user experience as it lacks some of the features that similar products have, such as format painter on Microsoft Word or the ability to produce flowcharts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables me to put all my reading notes into a centralised location and them organise them based on book titles, themes and authors. It also enables me to plan for my University timetabling
Surprisingly a tool I can't live without
What do you like best about the product?
I can organize my thoughts, research and notes. I especially like that I can share notes with others.
I have used database tools which are very capable and advanced. I have other parts of my account, and the ability to have private and public notes and subjects are imperative to me. The Mac app, the iOS app and the web app work seamlessly and don't slow down my computer. I now have more research there than ever, and it is maintainable, scalable and sharable. It's also private, and I can trust Notion to keep my privacy intact and not mine or sell my data, unlike what we suspect with free services like Google Drive. I also reach out to Customer Service and they are prompt and helpful with any of my questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get confused about managing the users who are part of the account. And it's sometimes unclear to me about the billing, but customer service always answers my questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping to maintain a research and note-taking notebook that is safe from being lost. With Notion, I feel confident that my ideas won't be lost or mistreated by myself or others. I will always have my thoughts, research and notes, which are most important compared to physical objects.
Notion is the future of docs
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is
- simple when you need it to be. No notion doc ever needs to be more complex than an Apple Notes note or a Word Doc
- flexible when you want it to be. Notion's different block types enable easy calendar creation & viewing data management, and even layout changes that make docs fun and easy to digest.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion's biggest fault is that without widespread adoption, Google Docs is just a better competitor. Having my entire company switch over to a new Docs app is next to impossible.
While it's speedy, I do appreciate that some people prefer the bare-bones note taking experience that comes with things like Apple Notes.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has been huge in
- planning
- creating documents with metadata (e.g. this doc is relevant from this date to this date or a doc with a completion status)
- replacing the absolutely terrible structure of Jira
