Notion: A Comprehensive Note-Taking Solution for Organized Minds

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility and versatility. It allows you to create various types of content, from simple notes to complex databases, wikis, and project management boards. The app's customizability is unmatched, and you can adapt it to your unique needs and preferences. I also appreciate its collaboration features, which allow you to work on projects with teams in real-time. Notion also has an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy to use and navigate once learned.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app can be overwhelming and confusing for first-time users, especially when trying to understand how to navigate the empty interface. Additionally, the app's pricing model can be a bit steep for individuals or small teams, and some features are only available in the more expensive subscription plans, especially in emerging markets like north Africa. Finally, Notion's mobile app is not as robust as the web version, which may be frustrating for users who need to access their notes on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion benefits me by solving common problems related to organization and task management. As an all-in-one note-taking solution, Notion allows me to store all my notes, ideas, and tasks in one central location, which saves me time and reduces the need to switch between different apps or platforms. Notion's customizability also allows me to adapt it to my specific needs, making it a tailored and more effective tool. The collaboration features in Notion make it easier to work with teams, resulting in more aligned and efficient project management. By streamlining my workflow and providing transparency, Notion helps me stay on top of my work, meet project goals and deadlines, and ultimately be more productive.

Great tool for all our business needs

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and there's so much that can be done with the tool. I use Notion for 1:1's, projects, wiki for departments, and internal requests from other departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit overwhelming if you've never used it before. We also have a lot of Notion pages so sometimes thing can get lost. Integrations aren't super great with Notion but that's typical with most products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion keeps us organized and accountable. We've built a request queue for other departments and this has helped tremendously because we can all have visibility into the requests coming in and if one person doesn't know then another person can jump in and help.

Notion - A game changer for productivity and organization

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My experience with Notion has been nothing short of exceptional. It has revolutionized the way I approach work and personal projects. What I like best about Notion is its versatility. It can be used for anything from taking notes, organizing projects, managing tasks, and even as a database. Its flexibility allows me to tailor it to my specific needs and preferences. The most helpful feature of Notion, in my opinion, is its ability to link databases and pages together, creating a seamless flow of information. The upsides of using Notion are numerous - it's easy to use, visually appealing, and has endless customization options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle to find any significant downsides to Notion. However, one potential drawback is that it can be overwhelming at first due to the multitude of options and features. It takes some time to learn and fully utilize everything it has to offer. Additionally, the mobile app could use some improvement in terms of functionality and user interface. However, these minor downsides are far outweighed by the benefits of using Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion can solve a number of problems for users, such as helping to organize and streamline tasks and projects, centralize information in one location, improve collaboration among team members, and provide a more efficient and effective way to manage and access information. This can benefit users by saving time, reducing stress, and increasing productivity, among other advantages. In the case of new vehicle procurement, Notion can be used to track information related to vehicle purchases such as dealer information, pricing, vehicle specifications, and more, providing a centralized and organized way to manage this data.

The Knowledge Hub for My Company

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a startup, we have a year free for Notion, and even when that expires, we will pay for it. The readily available templates allow us to track progress, standards or news within the business, which has helped massively make all our team members feel more involved with the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I have come across that I don't like other than one thing that I am at fault with, which is that the team space I have created has got a little bit cluttered. Some of the items in this team space can be split out into new team spaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The core problem that is being solved for us is having a centralised place for all of our organisation's resources. One of the biggest problems solved is keeping track of our sales cycle, and the built-in CRM tool is excellent.

- Features like nested pages, integrated databases are awesome.
- Being connected online and syncing everything makes sure no idea is lost in the process.

- Sometimes things slow down a bit, because of the constant online sync.

- Detailed project management
- Internal record keeping
- Making public draft pages for quick sharing and updates

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has massively helped organise all of the workload of my business. It is easy for everyone to use and adopt and very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've not been able to build a good timeline template and I would like to be able to share pages with clients so they can see track our progress real-time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion ensures eveeryone in the company is clear what steps there are in each project and who is responsible for each task. The customisable pages make it easy to create top line reports for managers.

Useful organizational tool

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool for solo use with detailed project tracking, or for team use. I like that you can create a work breakdown structure of complex initiatives and assign these to teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of a learning curve at the onset. It helps to have some time to fiddle around with it, and understand that the first way that you organize a project on it won't be the best way. It will go through iterations until it's most useful to you and your team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a useful repository of written knowledge through the project process. I often go thru notes from several months ago for important details. They're easily searchable for key terms.

What do you like best about the product?
The Beautifulness of the platform. Not only is it useful but also visually beautiful, endless possibilities to manage and more than a thousand of templates to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't freeze columns when you create visual tables as excel does. I'm pretty sure this feature will come sooner than later. Other than that, I love the entire platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, teams and jobs management, calendar views, direct links and tracker list. It's beautiful when you create the wikis they are such a help to keep all the information for the team.

Beautiful interface and easy to use

  • February 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion helps me stay organized in a clean, fun way. I love that I can add emojis because it's an easy way for me to quickly identify pages in a playful, practice way. It helps me keep my team organized as well and I want to work on integrating relationships more effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to be more clear on:
- How to use relationships and integrate pages
- What pages are open to everyone? What ones do you have to pay for a member spot to see? How can I tell if a page is private as an admin to ensure no one else can see it?
- The to-do lists. One of them is fantastic and I can easily change the status column names (Not started, blocked, in edits, complete, etc.). However, I can't find it for the life of me anymore... it's just to-do lists or kanban boards where I can't change the column name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me stay organized in keeping my clients and freelancers on track and organized. I like being able to add notes in for each client and keep things separate, but linked.
