Notion can be whatever you want it to be!

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is incredibly versatile. Which style of productivity app do you like best: kanban style, spreadsheet, old fashioned checklist? Notion can do them all--at the same time! The best thing about Notion is that you configure it yourself so you get exactly what you want. There are plenty of useful templates available so you don't have to start from nothing, unless you want to build it all yourself.

There's a bit of a learning curve. But there is plenty of help available. It can be suited to any industry. It's fairly simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ok, the tricky part is getting started. There are plenty of tutorials and videos to help you out. But, when you first log in to Notion, it's a clean slate. So there is some set up time involved. But I think it's worth it because you get exactly what you want. And you can always use one of the templates provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for everything. It's a task master with a big kanban style project manager dashboard. I wear a lot of hats and by using one master board with several other project focused boards I can keep track of what needs to be done. I also use it as a content calendar. I keep important documents embedded in it so I have easy access to them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stick with it. After the initial time investment, it's worth it. Use the templates provided. They cover most scenarios. You only have to put in your parameters and labels and you're good to go!

Takes some time to figure out initially but a great tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Sharing of files and documents with each other within the organization and collaborative editing
- Documents within documents
- Notifies you about edits through mail
- Minimum icons at the top, but all of them fed into keyboard. For example, you insert a table by first pressing '/' for commands, after which you select table
What do you dislike about the product?
- Took time to figure out initially
- Some functions that seem like should exist, do not. For example, while entering numbers in a table column, the column sum should be available
- Would like the reminder function to become better
- Integrations with commonly used softwares such as Slack, Asana, Zoom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Collaborative sharing with the team
- Helps keep the important documents and files in one place for all to view
- Tracker maintenance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While it is a good collaborative sharing and editing software, it would be worth to check out other softwares as well. Consider your objectives carefully before going for it. You may be looking for a to-do list and a task management system, but this does not exactly serve the full purpose as an Asana.

Project Management is easy because of Notion

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love all the tables and charts that I can make on Notion. It is easy as well as makes it better for me to manage my content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so much of dislike but there are a lot of short cuts that are difficult to remember. More drop-down menu might help with that better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management and content management. It helps me stay organized and stay up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for content management for an organization.

My Thoughts Organizer

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion to jot down and organize my notes and projects. The simple and intuitive user interface encourages me to put my thoughts into a single place. After all thoughts typed out, I can drag and drop to reorganize the points into better or more meaningful way. I can create templates for my specific use. The whole application is a great tool for me to organize my thoughts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a new user. It is hard to think of one. If I need to say one comparing to the marketplace. Comparing to Evernote, Notion has only English Version at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I try to organize my thoughts and notes in a single place. It has Infinite hierarchy and Tables & databases. I like to put my thoughts into hierarchy. I have not used tables and databases yet. But seeing the reviews from others, I might use it in the future.

Feels Redundant At Times But Still Super Helpful If Needed

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a helpful tool for tracking notes and written information across many people. Think of it like a Google Doc within many Google Docs, so that you can bucket by client or project, allowing you to be able manage Docs as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design is bland and the UX is tight yet still too much. This is because if you need Notion, you have many clients/projects to manage, and high numbers of files or subfiles creates a convoluted process for finding exactly what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditionally, notes and anything written were spread out across many platforms or personal computers. Notion streamlines this, making communication and collaboration easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You need a team that leans in and fully uses it. From day one, expecting people to move out of wherever they were taking notes or sharing documents is a set up for failure. It takes time, and focused people using it daily, and in every meeting. The more it's used, the more people can't not use it. Once it's in use, it will replace other locations, like Google Docs, Word, Notes, email, etc.

Easy to use and interesting way to structure information

  • October 15, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's friendly to use and quite easy to get started with.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very customizable and elements of UX are confusing (such as switching accounts).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us create a basic knowledge base that we eventually transferred to Jira Service Desk. It was problematic in that the UI was too basic to use as a permanent knowledge base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great to get started and free for students.

All around good software

  • October 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use
Flexible - you can make it your own as needed
Clean interface
Lots of integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
Online application only at the moment - offline mode would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all my notes in one place, easy to find and organise everything for work. It allows me to dump my thoughts and scribbles in one place and move them around really easily later on - which is something you can't do very well on paper or with other software

What do you like best about the product?
It’s completely customizable while offering plenty of great templates to get you started. Notion is also incredibly affordable with free plans that have enough storage for many users.

It’s customization and flexibility make it easy to make unwanted changes that have to be cleaned up later. They also have no feature for web forms which would be an invaluable asset for project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for project management across our staff and for personal organization. It was a great tool when I was a student for keeping track of assignments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot. It’s free tiers means there’s nothing to lose.
