A Game-Changer for Modern HR Teams

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion every day in my HR role, and it’s truly transformed how I organize, document, and collaborate. The flexibility of the platform makes it easy to create living documents, workflows, and knowledge bases that my team can actually use—not just reference once and forget.

The real standout recently has been Notion’s AI features. I rely on it for summarizing lengthy policy drafts, rewriting content in a more human tone, and even generating first drafts of job descriptions or onboarding plans. It’s like having an extra teammate who’s always ready to help me think and write faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions can be a bit tricky, especially when you're trying to share a single page without giving access to the full workspace or when collaborating across teams with different levels of visibility. I’ve also noticed performance can lag a bit in large, complex workspaces or when there are lots of embedded databases on a single page. And while the AI is great for drafting and summarizing, it’s still learning—sometimes the rewrites feel too generic or miss the tone I’m going for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s also helping solve the “blank page” problem with AI. Whether I’m drafting a new policy, writing a performance improvement plan, or rewording a handbook section, Notion AI helps me move from idea to first draft faster. That means I spend more time thinking strategically and less time formatting or copy-pasting between tools.

What do you like best about the product?
the way it helps me organized my notes, it is very easy to use and to maintained organized. I used to have a piles of notes on my desk now they are accessible anywhere. I like how I can use it for both work and personal life.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning season at the beginning was hard and it could deter a lot of people form using notion. I was able to stick to it but I know if I didn't have the time to learn how it works I wouldn't
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking clients notes for work - it allows me to maintained an organized system rather than writing by hands then transcribing them I can do a case note in minutes even if my notes are disorganized the AI assistant organizes it for me. Before I would have to do all of this on my own and would have a pile of notes to go over and type.

Scalable Flexibility

What do you like best about the product?
As a user of Notion in a personal capacity since 2018, and in a professional one, since 2022, I have seen drastic growth, in what features are available. I love how it can be as simple or as complex as you want. Often, the way I view a project changes, and being able to rework my database without losing content or time is a life saver. I use Notion several times a day to keep every aspect of my life organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I was able to pick what projects get implemented next, I would choose: more functions for the databases, offline mode (but that's already in the works), and conservation of data when exporting. You can print database pages, but as a math nerd I would want more tools to play around with, and when I'm done, I want the printouts to look a bit better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a small laboratory, where we all "wear different hats" and have different roles. Since I have to be familiar with thousands of different processes (that may only come up once every 2+ years), it is easy to forget how I did things last time. With Notion, I can search for keywords and receive my answer, an informative summary, and a link to all relevant pages, in seconds. I went from not recording anything to using post-it notes, to having a supercharged personal assistant. This also have made it much easier for me to share methods with my colleagues. Tasks get done quickly and correctly, the first time.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion makes work feel lighter. It’s simple to use, flexible enough for anything from docs to team wikis, and honestly a no-brainer for keeping things organized at work. The built-in AI assistant has been a game changer super helpful without needing to switch tools or worry about sensitive company info getting out. It’s all right there, safe and seamless. Love how much smoother it’s made our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, it took some time to really get the hang of how Notion works. The cursor can also feel a bit glitchy at times, especially when it randomly selects the whole page instead of just a block. Also, there are so many cool Notion hacks out there, but they’re not easy to discover unless you go digging. Would love to see more of those surfaced in-app or through official tips.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized documentation with high level safety and confidentiality.

I've built my life on notion, so easy to get organized and knowledge share both at work and home!

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is extremely easy to pick up and use day to day. While I mostly use it as a general documents/knowledge/notepad, it's easy to organize everything in concise home-pages that are personalized to what I do every day. I have enjoyed the new AI capabilities as well and have used that quite a bit as I've gotten up to speed at a new employer who uses Notion as our internal knowledge base. AI makes it easy to search using normal language and get answers based on the pages within my Notion account. Will definitely continue recommending and leveraging Notion!
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice to get a Notion Calendar App for Ipad, but other than that, it's great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use notion for customer notes, opportunity management (in addition to salesforce), and as an internal knowledge base for work. I also use Notion at home as a one-stop shop for information about contractors, big projects we're taking on, tracking categorized notes (kids, food, recipes, garden, etc.), and for managing travel bookings in a consolidated place.

So close, but also so far.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Notion is trying to be a "one-stop shop" so that teams don't have to context/tool switch as often throughout the day. The Notion AI feature has greatly reduced time to find information across the org. I appreciate how customizable and flexible the platform is and that it can be used in a variety of use cases. Customer support is solid for small bugs, as they're generally quick to respond. My customer support rep has been helpful and was able to connect me to the Product team for a feedback session.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems like there are a lot of ideas and good directions, but things never quite get to 100% complete, which means, as customers, we continually have to find "workaround" solutions. If there's a Notion update that then allows for some of the workarounds to be deprecated, there isn't usually a great way to transition off one solution to the next without massive manual work, which can be frustrating. Our customer rep had some good recommendations for us on some of our setup, but again, they require massive amounts of manual work for what is realistically a small change in the grand scheme. The suggestion was for us to hire an external consultant to do the work for us, which was frankly a little frustrating. It shouldn't be so difficult to shift approaches, in a tool that was meant to be flexible, that it requires hiring a consultant.

The project management features, in particular, feel pretty half-baked still. Automations, while getting better, still require a lot of Notion-specific syntax experience to work correctly. Often the RIO of investing time to make the automation work ultimately doesn't save enough time to justify not just doing it manually. Database templates still don't inherently work correctly for project databases and haven't for at least 2 years. The fact that the task database creates an empty page for every task and subtask is painful and can cause loading issues as databases get larger.

A lot of Notion AI features have been teased for a while without any real updates (i.e, I first heard about the Salesforce and Zendesk integrations about a year ago, they just got announced as "coming soon", but my rep still can't give me even a quarter ETA to expect the release).

Page analytics rolled out and never went anywhere else despite having plenty of improvement options. Responses for anything that have to be taken to the Eng team seem to end up in a black hole and never get resolved or updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to search in one place across all of our tools is beneficial. Having a centralized place to put our knowledge for each functional team is useful. It's currently solving our need for a project management solution, but wouldn't necessarily recommend that to others.
