Essential Tool for Organizing and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Notion since 2020, and it has become an integral part of both my professional and personal life. I find its capabilities as my 'second brain' invaluable, using it for planning work streams, managing projects, and even executing tasks directly within its spaces. Notion's note-taking feature is crucial for me, helping to keep my thoughts and work organized across different areas of my life. The tool was very intuitive from the start, making it easy to use both for my startup and in the workplace. Notion serves as a powerful document management system, allowing me to store and organize notes despite my busy schedule. This is exceptionally helpful, especially when I need to revisit specific workstreams. It supports efficient collaboration, keeping teams focused and aligned, which is essential when managing projects and facilitating brainstorming sessions. I particularly appreciate the database functionalities that serve as a remarkable means of storage and organization, making it useful as a CRM for my client's startup. The structuring of pages facilitates a seamless transition from unstructured to structured thought processes. Additionally, it is indispensable as a meeting notes function, solving significant problems for me. Despite not personally paying for it, Notion's role as an incredible knowledge base in the age of AI underscores its value. It feels deeply ingrained in my daily activities to the point where I can't imagine functioning without it. Overall, I would recommend Notion with a score of 10 out of 10 due to its profound impact on my work and daily organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that Notion could benefit from having more templates for creative individuals. While it works well for commercially oriented users, it lacks the structure that aligns with the creative thinking processes. For instance, my wife, who is a fashion designer, didn't stick with Notion because it wasn't structured in a way that complemented her creative workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to manage documents and notes, making it easy to stay organized and align my team. It helps me outsource brain organization, streamline collaboration, and structure thoughts effectively.
AI-Driven Organization and Seamless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion integrates AI to significantly enhance my organizational capabilities. The AI helps me to quickly access complete information from my databases, which immensely improves efficiency. I find its power to organize and structure new blocks within various elements of my Notion pages very helpful, allowing me to clearly visualize daily information. The comprehensive tutorials offered are invaluable, especially when getting familiar with the blocks and setting up the system. I also appreciate Notion for the robust calendar integrations and widget tools which streamline task management and scheduling. It effortlessly connects with other tools I use, like Excel, Google Docs, and Asana, facilitating a smooth and cohesive workflow for tasks such as customer management and appointment scheduling.
What do you dislike about the product?
I initially found setting up Notion challenging due to its unfamiliarity. It required time to understand the blocks despite the comprehensive tutorial. I also wish Notion provided more template variety to enhance user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me organize information quickly with AI integration and structures my pages for daily clarity.
Notion is a Ultimate Digital Workspace—Customizable and Organized, But Takes Time to Master
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Notion for nearly a year, and it has truly become my go-to digital workspace for just about everything. What initially attracted me was all the talk about its high level of customization. For me, the standout feature is how well it helps with organization. I rely on its databases to manage my freelance projects, plan vacations, and even maintain a small recipe collection. I also created a weekly planner that lets me view both work and personal tasks together, which really helps reduce the need to constantly switch contexts.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first began using it, the learning curve was definitely noticeable. It took me an entire weekend to figure out how to connect various databases and templates, and even now, I still occasionally find myself wondering where a particular block has disappeared to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has become my go-to platform for capturing ideas, managing projects, and staying organized in all areas of my life. Each month, I discover new ways to make use of its features, and despite a few quirks, it remains the only productivity tool I consistently rely on.
Great experience as a university student
What do you like best about the product?
Notion helps me to keep track of my deadlines and also my important dates like test day, group due date, ... Also, as a university student, Notion helps me to put every lesson's slides, notes,... into one place and helps me to keep track of my learning progress and to be better prepared. Overall I very much like Notion, with a decorative setting and some aesthetic vibe, everything can be imported to Notion Workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI is slow, and also sometimes the setting lags. I think it's because my workspace has a lot of information to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me to keep track of my learning progress by various forms of command, and a lot of amenities to import to the main workspace. I can now see all my deadlines, important dates, ... in one place, thanks to Notion.
Effortless Organisation with Powerful Structuring
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to say organised. Being able to create and store pages within a page is a game changer, and allows me to keep everything centralised per project. The text formatting options are also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be tricky sometimes unless you know roughly where a file is or what it’s called. That said, the file organisation is much better, so I rarely need to rely on search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Works much better than Google Docs. It's very easy for me to complete my synthesis and share it out to other members of the team or the wider org.
Great Organization, But Setup Is Challenging
What do you like best about the product?
Organization of notion is really good. But requires a good set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It s really hard to set it up initially which makes it annoying to get started
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me turn my lecture notes into organized notes in one place.
Primary Source of Information for Company, Needs More Intuitive Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Due to the culture of Notion use at my company, Notion has become a really helpful tool for storing information. Notion AI has become such a game changer, what I used to dislike was the search functionality, but now I just leverage Notion AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where Notion is not intuitive (for me) in terms of building out pages. I also wish it was a better collaboration tool so that I could exclusively use it vs also heavily relying on Google docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the need for an intranet and having a repository of information on teams/policies/work/etc.
Powerful Centralized Tool with Custom Views, But Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate having a central system that is utilized within and across teams to access common data, especially since we can all have our own unique view settings in databases.
I am expected to use Notion hourly (or more), but I have struggled to reach 100% adoption because I'm still anchored in Google Workspace.
Speaking of, there is some really strong Workspace integration that makes centralizing information more seamless than ever. If we can figure out the best practice (for us) in setting up pages and projects, we'll get to feel the full benefit of activation.
The interface is generally intuitive, at least to those familiar with similar tools, although there is a steep learning curve at the beginning. When you have a tool that can do as much as Notion can do, there's obviously going to be some time spent learning the sitemap.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find that some records are linked across projects or views in ambiguous ways. This is probably due to how we're using Notion, but it can become excruciating to track down the meaning behind files with similar names.
It would be very easy to accidentally share my private pages with my professional workspace teammates. This can become a problem when documenting sensitive information for HR, for example.
It would be very easy to accidentally share my private pages with my professional workspace teammates. This can become a problem when documenting sensitive information for HR, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is used to centrally unify efforts across disparate teams nationwide in real-time. There are also frequent updates when edits are made to pages/databases - although these can be somewhat ambiguous ("Someone mentioned you in Meeting Notes" but then offers no clarity as to which meeting or project, if the notes file title doesn't include that information.)
Incredible Productivity System
What do you like best about the product?
It is an amazing all-in-one system for my projects, actions, document storage, etc... The AI deep integration and abilities are next level incredible. It reduces my time, is wildly easy to use, and helps with tasks that I hate doing. I use this virtually all day in my business efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many features that the learning curve was a bit steep... but honestly, once I figure it out, it was very easy to use and integrate into my daily workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Knowledge Bases, refining my writing, storing and retrieving documents, team collaboration.
Powerful Tool with a Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Notion's capability to manage multiple projects effortlessly. The way Notion allows us to have various projects with different pieces that can seamlessly fit into multiple master projects is incredibly beneficial. This feature helps keep all my project briefs organized and integrated into different overarching projects. I love using Notion's AI for writing copy and messages, which simplifies my tasks significantly. Additionally, I find Notion useful for design tasks, which enhances my creativity and productivity at work. The way Notion works so well with tools like Slack and Google Suites makes it an integral part of our workflow, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup of Notion to be really difficult. If it wasn't for a younger team member who set up everything and taught us how to use it, we might have considered switching to a different platform. Additionally, I think it's hard to get started with databases in Notion, even though they are one of the most useful features. It would be helpful if there was a tutorial or pop-up guide for first-time users interacting with databases. Moreover, sometimes when I don't have permission to move something within Notion, it can be confusing to figure out who has the necessary permissions to make those changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion organizes complex projects by allowing elements to fit into multiple master projects, enhancing efficiency. I use Notion AI for writing tasks, which streamlines communication. This integration of features significantly benefits my workflow.
