Good Product -- Slow to pivot
What do you like best about the product?
We have a wide variety of source systems we need to extract data from. For 90+% of these FiveTran does the trick. Setup is easy and there isn't much to manage once set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a known issue with Business Central connectors. We have been working with them for months trying to get it fixed or even get a timeline and we continue to be flying blind. This is pretty critical to our business and I'm sure with others using Microsoft Business Central so I wish they would be more communicative about this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to pull in data from many sources and load them into one consolidated warehouse.

- The speed and pace of the tool
- The overall deployment and implementation is extremely easy
- The number of available integrations is huge and it will cover most of your ingestion needs
- How well-organized their schemas are
- Usage and pricing is straightforward
- The Fivetran account reps and support are so well versed with their tool and they are always so supportive to help

What do you dislike about the product?
- Contracting can be a bit tricky
- It can become costly if you turn SCD Type 2 on but its not really on Fivetran

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall speed of building ingestion pipelines is extremely high and their documentation on schemas brings excellent clarity for all stakeholders.
An amazing no-code out of the box data integration solution
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Fivetran for over a year now and I love how easy it is to simply plug and play when it comes to connecting to almost any external SaaS platforms out there, saving us precious business time and resources.
I heavily rely on Fivertran to collect data from offline spreadsheets scattered across the business into one place by using the out of the box Sharepoint connector. Once set up, there is zero effort from the user to automate the entire data pipeline and easily channel the data into one place for analysis, saving me hours of VB coding!
Also love the fact that Fivetran guys are constantly adding newer connectors that I keep an eye on to try these out (business case depending) .
Overall, an extremely no-code solution for anyone who wants to automate their data pipeline with minimum effort.

Nothing to dislike apart from the wait to have newer connectors added to their existing collection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran is saving me hours of VB coding when extracting data from excel and google spreadsheets from SharePoint sites across the business. The SharePoint connector is allowing me to spend more time analyzing the data and delivering the insights to the end users rather than to wrestle with the spreadsheets and get that data into one place.
More so I have started using a few other out of the box connectors recently such as Google Ads, Reddit and Wrike, which is amazing as its giving me data that otherwise would be very difficult to API into.

I can connect data from online marketing channels within a few clicks.

Whenever I've experienced connection issues, the instructions to resolve this were not very clear.

As an online marketer, I've always struggled with connected performance marketing channel data to one singular source. Fivetran now allows me to do this within a few clicks for the top performance marketing channels.

Customer support and ease to set up connectors.

The pricing can change and cause significant increases. I.e. DBT transformations which were suddenly charged.

Some services we use don't have supported connectors. I hope they continuously look at those using their custom SDK and consider creating official connectors for these use cases.

Amazing product that makes data syncing effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran excels at doing one thing incredibly well: reliably syncing data from multiple SaaS tools into a central data warehouse like BigQuery. The setup is remarkably fast—most connectors are essentially plug-and-play, with minimal configuration. I especially appreciate the wide connector library, automatic schema management, and robust alerting system. For a small team without a full-time data engineer, it’s a game-changer. It eliminates a ton of manual work and lets us focus on deriving insights rather than wrangling APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a barrier for early-stage startups or companies with unpredictable data volumes. Since Fivetran charges based on monthly active rows (MAR), costs can spike unexpectedly as your data grows—even if you’re not increasing the number of sources. Additionally, some niche connectors are still in beta or lack full functionality, and the granularity of scheduling could be more flexible (e.g., custom cron instead of fixed intervals).

Fivetran helps us eliminate the manual, error-prone process of building and maintaining custom data pipelines. As a consultancy supporting startups and SMEs, we often deal with a wide variety of SaaS tools—HubSpot, Google Ads, Stripe, Facebook Ads, and more. Fivetran makes it easy to centralise this fragmented data into BigQuery with minimal effort, enabling us to deliver faster, more reliable insights for our clients. It also removes the need for ongoing connector maintenance, which is a massive time-saver for lean teams. The automatic schema updates and built-in monitoring reduce data downtime and ensure our dashboards and reports stay up-to-date.
Saving time/money/effort rather than custom data engineers and pipelines

The trial component and working out how to scale, start moving some sources over and growing.

Can't think of any, except that it is perhaps more pricey than other tools, but it is way more mature and easier to use, so can't fault it there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not have a data engineering team, and recently started our data journey, was blown away how quick and easy to get data into desired target (GCP in our case)
Oracle Fusion Integration with Fivetran
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of Fivetran are that they have the provision to build pipelines for data extraction from heterogenous systems that is seamless and user friendly. Fivetran consulting takes care of the integration and maintenance which removes the hassle of onsite maintenance. They have a good customer support team that can answer questions in a timely manner. We have daily loads so the frequency is pretty high.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dependency on fivetran is one of the key downsides as we have to think twice before we make any big integrations that we want to sync up. This is because it is a bit expensive for a mid scale companies like ours and to get locked up.

It is helping us in keeping the downstream systems synced up the Oracle fusion data
