Im used to folders, so the whole searching is a little confusing, even after creating a collection which could take a few extra seconds which is sometimes annoying or I forget to and have to do it after saving.

Being able to just search a person and seeing all the pictures of them from the years past of thousands of photos. Just searching for a keyword a client or staff member needs something of and we can find it, even though I didn't take it and remember when my co-worker shot it, its all uploaded for all of us to search. Sometimes it freezes up hard when uploading a batch of pictures, 40-50. and it caps out at 300, so when I need to add say 500, I have to do it twice, meaning add in all the metadata again, which can be cumbersome if theres a lot of metadata and information.

It's a great program and I really like using it, I could never go back to Dropbox or something similar becuase we can add metadata and make it very unique to each file.

GatherContent is really easy to use and helpful to keep our web content organized. I really like that you can move the content to different phases to make sure it can go into review by anyone you need.

One downside is that it isn’t very visual. If it could double as a place where we could keep imagery for the pages too, that would. Be super helpful.

If you ask me there currently is no better tool to gather all of your content. We use it for blog posts and client projects, websites, e.g. It's great that you have the ability to create your own templates and organize all of the content items like you want it. But I think the most powerful feature is the workflow feature that lets you create custom workflows so we can always use workflows that fit the current projects best. It is also great to assign people to specific content items to be automatically contacted once the item is updated.

One could argue that the content hub is a bit disorganized at the moment, but that never really bothered me and there is a overhauled version of the content hub waiting to be released later this month. I have no complaints so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GatherContent has become our own central hub for all the content we publish. We got rid of all the extra tools and keep GatherContent always updated using workflows, so everyone knows which creation phase an item is currently in. We use it also to separate client feedback on the content from feedback on design. For our designers, our project managers, content guys and our developers GatherContent is the final and single source of content.
