Bynder is an attractive option that is highly personalizable. The configurations for metadata, access, and sharing are widely applicable and useful. The onboarding experience was also very in-depth and allows us to best learn about and prepare the platform for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the various options for customization are great, sometimes the interface (particularly for admins) seems too complicated or diverged. Settings are in a few different places, and certain features (like the home page widgets) aren't very easy. Nothing that impacts the overall use of Bynder, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are taking a process/system that leveraged complicated folders and bringing our assets to life in a searchable way. We can now easily search across campaigns and asset types; things that were impossible with our previous system.
They made the setup process so easy!
What do you like best about the product?
We had weekly calls to systematically talk through each step that was required for setting up the DAM system. The team was flexible in that they gave us suggestions but worked with us to create a solution that fit our needs. They learned our lingo. Each part of the process was easy to understand. The sales process was easy and straightforward. I didn't get any pushiness and they understood the buy-in process takes time. They followed up regularly and were willing to provide all necessary information to get our leaders to buy iin.
What do you dislike about the product?
I expected them to do more of the actually uploading of our assets, but that was probably a misunderstanding on my part and had nothing to do with what the onboarding team did or didn't do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing assets through the DAM has been a tremendous time saver. People can go find the assets themselves. We can share things quickly. We are all using the same/right assets from the beginning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does take time to setup and onboard. Set time aside for your weekly homework. It took us 2 months or so to set up but I believe it can be done faster.
Easy To Learn. Easy to Use.
What do you like best about the product?
The Bynder team knows how to explain things in a way that all users can understand. From the least technically savvy to someone who has never used a DAM tool. Our team is excited to have our assets intuitively organized based on a taxonomy structure guided by Bynder. What seemed to be overwhelming in the beginning dimished quickly due to the superb training.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most challenging part of our onboarding was getting our internal team's schedules aligned for training sessions. This had nothing to do with Bynder's accountability. My recommendation for organizations to complete the onboarding process successfully is your team should be ready to commit to going through all the steps to learn best practices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization needed a way to successfully manage assets across three brands as well as problem solve how we share assets with internal and external partners. We see Bynder as an essential part of our continued growth.
Great Usability
What do you like best about the product?
Search, both free-text and using metaproperties is super fast and delivers good results. Handling of large files is still smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notifications are not sent as you'd expect from a state of the art system, both in terms of when and to whom as well as content (Link to review uploaded assets).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Central asset bank, accessible to large parts of the company. We increase efficiency in processes and strengthen our brand via accessibility of approved content.

If you can keep your processes relatively simple Bynder is easy to set up, get going and see results quickly.
Friendly, Helpful and Positive experience
What do you like best about the product?
The organization of our files - easy to find and easy to update/keep organized. Also love that people can upload without being logged in. It's very efficient at quickly locating our files and ensuring that nothing is missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I can't drag files onto binder to upload them. I wish there were a drop section when I'm uploading, but I may have missed that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one location for other departments to locate/use our files. It helps us keep only the most updated version on hand and ensure that we don't have 5 versions of the same file. We've been able to start implementing with other teams so that they can search on their own, without needing our help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Takes a little bit of implementation and work getting started, but a very valuable asset. Worth getting it set up very well in the beginning.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy set up and deployment. We did everything in less then 6 weeks
What do you dislike about the product?
The profiles are not very easy to set up and the permissions it self its not so self explanatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had assets all over different folders in Google Drive and Slack, which is not very simple to look for when you need a particular information. The Bynder DAM not only solves that, but its changing our company culture towards documenting our experiences.

It takes a little bit to understand, because the aspects / benefits of it are so vast, but once you do it's really wonderful and puts your mind at ease!

Really just the timing unfortunately, I did not except to end up setting Bynder up during a virus crisis.

Be ready for it – it takes some concentration, but its worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Bynders DAM-software package is probably the super caretaking, attentive and sympathetic customer support. Not only the technical support but also the customer success managers (in my case Stephanie) are very supportive and engaged in bringing your platform to the next level and create the best UX possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I could really criticize about the platform or the service. Usually if I should have an issue or a problem, I get in contact with either the technical support or my CSM (Stephanie) and it is being solved quickly.
Sometimes I wish for some more customization possibilities in terms of platform design to make it more on-brand but that is really a minor point and probably the course I carry with me as a person working in design.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily solved the issue of not having a cloud based and internationally accessible storing solution for all our digital assets like logos, images, documents etc. Also, with the brand guidelines module we now save a lot of work by not having to update all the different pdf files by simply updating the brand guidelines within the module. For us, this has increased brand consistency making it a very valuable tool.

The way it is design for users, everything is placed at the right points to figure-out for everybody, tech minded or not everybody can use Bynder.
What do you dislike about the product?
The metaproporty is complex and can only be explained to advanced users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only using the latest assests but also assets from the pas who faded away because people didn't see them anymore.
