Great product with an even better customer experience
What do you like best about the product?
We compared Bynder to a couple of other DAMs that were highly recommended. What made use choose Bynder over them was their the user experience and interaction design. But where they sealed the deal was the amazing customer service. With a special shoutout to Tony Smith, our implementation manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. We knew what we wanted and needer Bynder for and they made it a perfect fit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're building a legacy library for all our images on a global scale. These used to live on people's personal drives. Our organization has grown too large with a global reach to be able to have quick and full access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the demo, think about what you want form the system as it can do a lot. And then work with that and your budget to get a system that works for you
Support Client Access to Content with Bynder
What do you like best about the product?
The Bynder DAM has helped us to support the marketing and sales teams by providing access to approved content for customers. Assets are reviewed and approved in the Workflow module before entering the Asset Bank so users are confident these assets are available for use in sales and education.
In addition, we have been been able to use Bynder's API integration to fulfill additional requests that are not offered directly through integrations.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Brandstore module does not deliver in the way users expect in relation to other similar platforms, however Bynder does have integrations that serve this purpose for e-commerce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Workflow module has eliminated the email chains and paper trails for keeping track of copy routing. The Smartfilters allow users to easily locate assets in one location rather than on a network. The most recently updated assets are always available so the use of outdated assets is no longer an issue.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bynder can support every department and business unit within your organization through the use of its Asset Bank, Workflow Module and Print/Digital Templates. For companies in highly regulated industries, this is particularly helpful for tracking and ensure the most up to date assets are always available to users.
Outstanding searchability. Collections continue to be a challenge.
What do you like best about the product?
We selected Bynder after a thorough review process. Very satisfied throughout the sales process, implementation, and launch! We have a very responsive customer success manager and the product continues to grow in its usefulness throughout the company. It's so much easier to search for tagged assets in the DAM instead of rummaging through a share drive or trying to track everything with a spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product can be overwhelming to new users, this is true for admins in particular. Plan to spend several hours, and perhaps days or weeks, developing best practices and conducting training sessions for users. Product support can be slow to respond when there is a bug or a technical issue to resolve. The way that Collections were designed is one of the greatest challenges for us. The way that you share a Collection is either by creating a public link, sharing a unique link via email, or creating accounts for each person to view/download/manage a collection. We've spent a lot of time trying to get share a collection only to find that some users have access to everything on the DAM instead of just the assets in the collection. Most of the product setup is configured during implementation, and the team was very thorough in our experience--but as with any new system, there is definitely a learning curve. What you don't know or don't think of prior to launch may be difficult to figure out after launch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more lost files or vexing version issues! We love that we can quickly upload our marketing and advertising assets, tag with relevant search terms, track usage, and share inside and outside of the organization. We found an immediate benefit in setting up Collections to house related assets which be shared across different permission levels, especially with external partners and agencies.

What do you like best about the product?
We had thousands of assets in Dropbox and buried within our project management system. Bynder is enabling us to search and find files much faster and share files easily.

The setup and training process is lengthy and there are limited integrations.

Eliminating confusion, creating a system and process for storing files, and utilizing templates are big improvements made possible by Bynder

What do you like best about the product?
We're using the Bynder DAM for managing global and also local assets. We have Multibranded assets in one tool and we have globally approved assets combined with local assets in one tool. We do like:
- flexibility in the tool (taxonomy)
- very user friendline, easy to learn
- great and efficient implementation process
- great team who supports you during implementation and afterwards with adapations

What do you dislike about the product?
Only some minor issues on the functionality. It would be great f.e. if the system would help/check when naming new assets.
Costs are rather high, although I do not have compared it lately with other vendors.

We are able to manage and distribute our assets on very efficient way and we are able to manage our brand identity much better then before.
A great, customisable DAM to include in your software environment based on your needs
What do you like best about the product?
Great UI/UX which makes it easy for users to get comfortable with the environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've hit a limit on the current settings when it comes to visibility & download rights, especially when going into derivatives; which is in our specific case a bit tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have integrated this software as an upgrade from our former system. One of the key benefits is sharing externally & the folderless structure, which is now transformed into a filter-based system.
Powerful tool, horrible customer service
What do you like best about the product?
On-boarding process and assistance with creating valuable taxonomy, tagging and SSO capabilities. Bynder makes sharing resources with internal and external constituents easy, and creating collections of alike assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
After working with Bynder for a year, their customer service continued to decline as we have waited sometimes 3 weeks to over a month for responses from their "customer success squad," and our customer success manager. They make it difficult to surface updated agreements after adding seats/users to the platform.

Sharing most up-to-date digital assets across a global company, collaborating with third-party agency partners within their Workflow platform to reduce back-and-fourth communication and see progress more efficiently.
Great DAM choice for this private school
What do you like best about the product?
Attractive presentation, robust metadata records, API access for third-party apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be expensive for some schools, no facial recognition.

Making more of our collections available to more of our community.
Very easy, user friendly, and useful as a creative team.

The keyword functionality is really solid as well as the file transferring capabilities.

A great way to organize our digital assets
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder makes it easy for anyone at the CMA to search for the photo or video they need for their communications or marketing campaign.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that your searches don't automatically clear and any future search becomes limited by that/those search words. It can be very frustrating, especially if you don't realize that the search stays there. Also, I don't like that when you hit the 'download' button, it automatically downloads ALL versions. The option should be to select the image that you would like to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are definitely solving an organizational problem. Before using Bynder, most of the CMA's photos and videos were being stored and organized by a single staff member. Anyone who needed that content would have to go through that person. Now, anyone who has access to Bynder can search for themselves. Plus, all of the assets are safely stored and organized for future use.

Bynder is a great tool for companies to organize, download and share their digital content both internally and with external vendors.
