Bynder is a quite good tool
What do you like best about the product?
Searching and Smart-Filters are great: Easy Search for what you need,
API is really awesome:
Mass-Upload: Great that you can upload a big bunch of files
Auto-Tagging is perfect for english-speaking Customers

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some strange bugs regarding mass-upload and building file-names
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We developed an Interface for OpenCMS: The API is great, documentation good and if you use the "Compact View" it is rather simple to develop for your own CMS

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated the personal service that Bynder provided us. We looked at other platforms that didn't provide the custom setup and training and found that to be critical to our success. We were able to solve for all of our specific use cases with our specialist and create something awesome for our organization. Rob was so incredibly knowledgable and knew the platform inside and out. He did an outstanding job setting us up for success. We loved working with him.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I fully understood the time commitment in terms of what would be expected of us outside of the training times prior to starting. I wish we would have been able to communicate clearer to our superiors about what would be expected as it turned out to require a lot more time than just the weekly meeting on our end internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an almost fully remote company and needed a centralized platform to store and find all of our media assets. This tool will be invaluable for self-service which will save us an unbelievable amount of time and also make sure we are getting the most out of assets we are paying to develop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We looked at several different options but felt as thought Bynder provided us the most for our money. We found the customization and training to be invaluable and wasn't something other popular platforms were offering us.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the intuitive interface and the customizations to make it our own. Seemed like every time we had a request, they said no problem and made it happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to report at this time as everything we have done to this point has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One place to store all our assets that is cloud based. No more logging into the server to try and search through hundreds of folders and waiting for the server to catch up.
Excellent onboarding training
What do you like best about the product?
An hour weekly meeting, making it time manageable to learn. I also really enjoyed our trainer Caitlin Grant, she was so helpful and knowledgeable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the only thing I did not like was that you have to re-upload imagery to build your homepage, make it double work. You can't take images that you uploaded to your assets to use on the homepage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being new to the company finding out the marketing collateral that we are missing for our brand. How easy it will be to send assets to our international distributors.
Bynder is an astonishing program
What do you like best about the product?
The client-facing interface is easy to set up and looks nice. I love the lightbox functionality that allows assets to be distributed and shared with different groups without duplicating assets within the DAM. There is a "single source of truth" for all assets now. My favorite part is that we have connected it to our website via webDAM's API so that all of our website images are stored in webDAM and managed from there.
What do you dislike about the product?
While generally speaking, the item is strong, there are arbitrary bugs that will happen. I've had consents reset multiple times making resources accessible to bunches they shouldn't be. I've likewise discovered that it's difficult to mass download organizers over a specific size. They are chipping away at a fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As expressed above, the most amazing aspect about having this DAM is the "single source of truth" for all of our assets. We serve numerous B2B clients and this makes it seamless to assist them with the content they need. It keeps us organized as a team in finding and sharing assets. Ultimately, it is the core of all our web content and is connected to our website through the API. This has allowed us to upload new asset versions and not have to consider every area on the site where we need to swap out the image.
A necessary tool for any company with more than 15 people

With the great taxonomy we built together, it is extremely easy to search for the assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much I dislike yet. Maybe the homepage could have more modularity to be worked on.

Our company has finally a proper tool to store and share final files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your company needs before working on the taxonomy. This is going to be one of the most important parts of the tool, and it will only be effective enough if you know how your internal structure works.
Bynder for Digital Asset Management
What do you like best about the product?
The flat taxonomy that Bynder offers is really game changing as far as file management. Saying goodbye to complicated file structures is a breath of fresh air. The implementation team is also great and Tony Smith did a great job of ensuring all my questions were answered promptly. He always answered my questions in an hour or less and I always felt taken care of and confident.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bynder doesn't offer too many customization options. There are some integrations with other platforms that are useful, but I wish there was better reporting capabilities. The light dashboard for analytics is pretty slim.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File structure is a big deal, but also just not losing assets any more. We would spend hours looking for digital assets and being able to filter a few properties to that one asset is a pretty big deal.
Very simple and intuitive way to quickly implement an asset manager
What do you like best about the product?
The UI has a very familiar and simple feel to it. You can quickly understand how to access most of the features. It doesn't feel overburdened with options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can feel a bit buggy at times, requiring you to refresh or return to the homepage and log back in to erase certain filters. The backend configuring feels a bit outdated and manual. Also, setting up dependencies in the metaproperties could be a bit more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder has allowed us to store all our creative assets in one consolidated and easy to access place. It's removed some of the noise of having various platforms with similar assets that confuse internal teams and slows down the process.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy this is for the front end users. The homepage we have set up to be really simple and user friendly. We have received many compliments on how this looks. Our demo person, Caitlin was always energetic and did well with answering questions on the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backend and coming up with urls was a bit particular and case sensitive which caused a bit longer of a time period to set up. Sometimes it was hard to get a quick response, but now we have gotten the help line email and will contact them. We also had a login problem for quite some time and it took an additional two weeks to get that set up.

ability to give everyone access to our creative files. Also the ability to show everyone photos that are updated and on brand. There are many features that we will not need at this time, but are nice to have if needed at a later time.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use of the portal, using the filter system as opposed to the older folder based system is so much more efficient and intuitive. The ability to share files up to 40gb is another benefit as we often use video and audio files. Also the waiting function is very helpful as we can review the assets before saving into the portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good if you could translate more of the architecture into another language. Bynder does give some functionality in this regard, but if it could be extended to say the main navigation tiles then that would quite beneficial.

The ability to move and share large video files in a more efficient manner has been a real benefit.
