Bynder is proving to be a great asset to our team, right out of the gate.
What do you like best about the product?
Bynder worked with us to create a detailed taxonomy and tagging system to help our team members find the images needed. The system is detailed but flexible, and gives us more control over our images.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a little less intuitive than some, but not difficult to learn, especially with the extensive onboarding they provide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our images were previously stored on an unstable platform with no customer support and very little control over the organizational process. Bynder also stores more than jpgs--video, slide sets, etc.
Lots of resources and support; uncertain about how well Bynder will meet our core needs once in use.
What do you like best about the product?
Creative Workflow was the most promising in our onboarding. It was one of the modules we were looking forward to learning and hope it can consolidate project tasks all in one spot.
The homepage is really nice, we look forward to customizing the homepages for different groups in the company so we can better communicate and collaborate on our projects.
Bulk uploading assets and applying like-metaproperties to them is a huge plus.
The waiting room was a nice surprise when we learned about it! We always review file details before saving our assets so it is great to have a single place to find all incoming assets to be looked at!
Most of our uploads were transparent Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop files, but we typically export these to a white-background Jpeg for external sharing. Ta'Quila was helpful with finding a setting on the backend which would display Photoshop and Illustrator thumbails with white backgrounds (instead of transparent) -- this made a huge positive difference to us, as it eliminated a long-time detested step of exporting for the sake of sharing!
I was very relieved to hear that bulk changes we'd like to make to our taxonomy can be handled by the support team. As an organization trying to restructure and adjust our processes, this will come in handy!
Seeing multiple versions of an asset side by side, along with annotating directly on the preview is a great collaborative tool!

What do you dislike about the product?
Taxonomy training dominated, we'd have liked more time working through Creative Workflow and other Modules we purchased. I understand how Taxonomy is the foundation of Bynder, but I feel like if we were able to focus more on HOW the taxonomy interacted with other modules, we'd have a better idea on what we would have wanted.
The Training structure and plan would have been better if we were first introduced to and walked through (even briefly) the modules and integrations we were primarily interested in. This would have helped immensely with planning taxonomy and API integration since we could figure this out up front.
There were moments where it felt that the onboarding team did not fully grasp the scale of our business with regard to our asset management needs. We asked multiple times if they could reference another Bynder customer that functioned similarly to us in hopes that we could have specific examples of use-cases and how Bynder could help us manage our assets.
Bynder cannot display multiple artboards for an Illustrator or Photoshop file. From an Art Studio perspective, having multiple artboards in one file helps consolidate a project which would have multiple individual files exported for sharing. Adobe Illustrator is able to be opened as a pdf (as well as export to pdf) and contain all the artboards from the original file as its own page. If Bynder is able to implement this, it would be very useful!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searchability of our assets. Metaproperties, tags, and the way Bynder searches through the asset bank makes finding a needle in a haystack much easier than before.
Putting our assets in one spot for all needed parties to view. Originally we've been exporting files and saving them in MULTIPLE different folders/servers depending on who was to see it.

Great Product and Implementation Process
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and incredible ability to search. This will make finding and maintaing assets much easier than our prior solution. Jimmy Philips lead our implemnetation and was incredible helpful in workign with our team to address any edge cases or questions we had.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It is great. The biggest change is changing the mindset from an archaic fodler based solution and developing the correct taxonomy to be able to leverge the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to find assets easier. This will become a great help as wel go through our regular audits. Also remvoes the need to have hardware on site and maintain it.
Great support and interface so far. Excited to see how it is received by our rep groups and dealers
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to accept uploads & Taxonomy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a faster way to upload. and the ability to upload zip files
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting off shared platforms and using one central software to organize assets.
Intuitive & user-friendly experience
What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly experience it's a plus! I am so glad that Austin guided us through the whole process of learning how to use Bynder and made it so easy, but I also appreciate the intuitive UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that we cannot create a subfolder in a collection, but hopefully soon enough Bynder will consider it and will make that option available. We'll appreciate it for sure!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder is helping to keep all the assets together and it makes it easier to share them without the hassle because right now we have files all over and we need to lose time looking for some specific images but with Bynder, we have all the assets in one place and we just need to send a link! Easy like that!
Great DAM, easy set-up, very intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool, the set-up process was very easy and most importantly the system is very intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major complaints, the one thing that was kind of wonky is the url generator for linking to collections - but not a huge deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to store all assets in one place, visually browse images all up, create filters/tags to refine content buckets, share with internal and external partners
Great onboarding experience and the platform offers many features, both custom and standard!
What do you like best about the product?
The customized onboarding experience. Our onboarding manager, Jimmy Phillips, took such care in getting to know our business and needs to ensure our taxonomy would work for us. He explained things clearly and ensured before hand off our portal was ready for our company-wide adoption. The portal itself is incredibly user-friendly and has made it a breeze to not only upload our existing content but will be scalable to our future needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
We honestly had such a wonderful experience from our initial product discoveries to portal handoff. Would not change anything, looking forward to rolling out for our entire organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were currently using dropbox to organize our images and there was no good way to filter images or send/share images to notate among our entire team. Bynder has been the perfect solution for us.

Bynder account support and onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
We are just getting started with Bynder, but already we can see that the organization is benefitting from having a single source of truth in place for all brand-approved assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. The DAM is configured to our specifications and the rollout to the organization has been smooth thanks to the help of our Bynder onboarding manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bynder is helping our organization centralize brand assets and sales and marketing materials. We now have nine office locations and have grown exponentially over the last 5 years through acquisition. Needless to say, help was needed!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I was very impressed with the account manager and onboarding manager that we worked with at Bynder. The account manager was super responsive and worked hard to answer all of our questions. We engaged on several occasions over 4 months before deciding to move forward. There was no push for us to move faster than we were wanting to.
Our onboarding manager was very knowledgeable about the platform and made solid recommendations as we worked through setting up our customized DAM.
