What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is an incredibly easy-to-use but full-featured computer-aided translation platform. It has revolutionised the way we do business since we started using it a couple of years ago. Most importantly for us, it has a mac application!
What do you dislike about the product?
Memsource is excellent value for money at the Team Start level, but their pricing structure is strange and serves to lock smaller businesses out of necessary features. For example, you need to be spending a minimum of €1,250 a month (5x Ultimate Project Mangers) to get the LQA features. We're only a small business, and we would never have the need for five project manager accounts, yet we do need LQA. This places us in a difficult position and means we can't fully recommend the package for small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource streamlines our translation workflow from start to finish and allows our subcontractors to work online in a web editor without having to pay for their own licence. They can also collaborate with other translators working on the same project by way of the translation memory.
A simple and user-friendly CAT tool - Excellent customer care
What do you like best about the product?
Most of my clients have moved from other CAT tools to Memosource in the last few years, and I have to say it is straightforward, with a friendly and intuitive interface. I like that it is cloud-based, therefore it can be used from several devices and from my smartphone/tablet as well. Furthermore, it is possible to work both online and from the desktop editor. I usually work online, and I rarely have issues. Last but not least, the Support team always answers promptly and has always solved my problems in a short delay.
What do you dislike about the product?
For long files, it sometimes takes a while to do the QA check, but overall I am satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a translator, I can use the same CAT tool for most of my clients, and I don't have to pay for an expensive CAT tool. I can work from anywhere and from any device.

Memsource is a great tool, easy to work with, especially for beginners, while not straying far from other popular tools' overall philosophy.
Depending on your plan, it gets more complex, including further features and customization (which is a big plus).
Support is always there and helps solve any issues.

Online editor is lagging a lot in larger files.
Spell checker could be improved as well.
Error messages do not always explain the issue, so you have to search a bit.

It makes job assignments easy and aids in fast TM/TB creation.
Integration with ERP system is a big plus.

Much better than other CAT tools. Very customizable.
Been using Memsource for over a year now as Project Manager and extremely satisfied.

Some bugs from time to time when uploading a lot of jobs into one project.

The best CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Memsource for the last 10 years and it has been a game-changer for me as a freelance translator, translation company owner and lecturer at the Translation Programme of Ventspils University of Applied Sciences. I especially enjoy the functionality and efficiency of the tool, as well as its intuitive and simple interface. A wide selection of MT engines and quality assurance is another great addition. It is certainly the best CAT tool on the market. Students like it a lot and usually choose it as their main CAT tool for work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to mention, everything is really perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translation memories provide consistency and save time; Term management is a perfect tool both for translating and research purposes; Machine translation saves time; a Project management tool gives an opportunity to provide Translation Company simulations in the classroom.

What do you like best about the product?
Analysis. The analysis gives the details of all the information about the document very clearly and easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet identified any component of Memsource that I dislike. Everything is great.

Memsource serves as a tool to work on life-saving documents. The translations are used to communicate with people from different language backgrounds.

phrase pull -> change -> phrase push ;p

that it changes the order of translations locally on phrase pull, but I guess that makes sense because it arranges them alphabetically

adding support for multiple languages in an organized and easy way

What do you like best about the product?
I loved the collaborative aspects of Phrase and the possibilities to leave comments or do so much research on the words and their translations. It was very easy to work on Phrase and very flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it was quite long to load. And the fact that the changes don't always automatically save is time taking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to very quickly translate a whole project to develop an app in our country. Phrase enabled a fluid collaboration between my colleagues and me so that it could go faster and benefit from everyone's experiences and capabilities with translation

Very helpful, I do recommend if you need to translate a project, alone or as a group.
Memsource is very intuitive, easy to manage projects and easy to teach to new linguists

It is cloud based, no license needed. Easy to send projects. Easy for linguists with no CAT tool experience to learn.

Multiple file analysis could be improved to give better picture for each file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inexperienced translators with not CAT tool experience are easy to teach. Translators do not need to have their own license. With this we are able to have a greater pool of linguists and be very efficient for our clients.
