Lightweight but Powerful Alternative to the Big Guys
What do you like best about the product?
Allows us to use translators who do not have their own CAT tools. New users find it easy to navigate and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
They need a Concordance button. Right now it is hidden away in the Tools menu. As one of the most frequently used functions, it needs to be more accessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Huge client files can be easily split into more manageable chunks. Outputting files in bilingual Xliff format allows us to use other tools for quality assurance.

Not really, however would be great if more features related to custom workflow

Memsource is fairly easy to use, given the variety of tools it includes.
It enables control of the main functions required for translation work and provides good options for quality control and review.
I would say it is the best CAT tool I have used and it's complex enough that I'm still learning but friendly enough that I can work as I go.

I have not found anything I dislike or that discourages me from continuing to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Memsource in work that I get from agencies. It's been easy enough to use and comprehensive in terms of covering all aspects of the translation while allowing me and the company to control the output.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Memsource is its interface: simple, intuitive, manageable and visual. Unlike other translation programs, Memsource provides all kinds of details in a simple way.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like the least is that the program depends on the Internet connection, which means that projects' edition and translation will not always be available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main benefit of Memsource is the ease of carrying out team projects. I also really like the ease of adding translation memories and terminology databases.

That is very intuitive, the auto-propagate function and the capacity to include term bases and glossaries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tag system and that sometimes there are technical issues.

There is no need to search every time in a glossary as you can see on the interface if there is any match. Furthermore, you can use existing translations and improve them, which makes the translation process faster and more efficient.

It is a very easy-to-use and intuitive tool.

Translation and editing. It helps manage considerable amounts of work and speeds up the process remarkably.
A Cloud-Based Tool with Lots of Options
What do you like best about the product?
It fits my everyday needs in videogame localization well when it comes to working with different formats and workflows. Easy-to-use, quick, and quite user-friendly in its cloud-based web part and in the desktop/mobile app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most complex issues in my work might require using additional software, but that doesn't happen daily.

All clients are different in their approaches to work. Memsource is a good point of entry that helps solve their tasks equally easily.

The user interface is clear and intuitive. The translation process goes fluently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a few log-in issues that were solved after some time for no particular reason.
There are also some issues with the F9 function. It sometimes has to be repeated several times before being officially executed. Some tasks require the QA check in order to be completed so this can be annoying when I have to go back and forth to make sure the QA is effective.

I don't have to worry about locally storing my work or having an updated termbase. I can rely on Memsource and focus on my job as a translator.

Memsource is the easiest way to work as a translator on regular projects coming from different clients.

Memsource is extremely easy to use, and their translation memory is pretty good.

The translation memory is good but sometimes lacking in Danish.

I translate curriculums which are often updated. Memsource saves me from having to re-translate the entire document each time.

Improved search function and project and job status indicators would be a great addition to the platform.

We needed a reliable and cost-effective translation management system to handle our translation needs and Memsource met all our requirements.
