Things to improve on Memsource
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use. It has many keys to make the work easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The TM is slow and sometimes doesn't work at all. I find other CAT tools like Smartling better when it comes to TM. Also when the session is expired, the translation that is already written and not saved yet would vanish!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The keys are good. The interface is simple. That are good things for me!

It is very user-friendly and it has a wide range of formats available.

Sometimes we would need more translator licences per user.

The consistency of our translations has improved a lot. Also, it has helped us to reduce our costs.

What do you like best about the product?
Phrase has been a game-changer for our localization workflows. Its interface is clean, intuitive, and easy for both linguists and non-linguists to use. The integrations with CMS and developer tools save huge amounts of time and reduce manual work. I especially appreciate the translation memory and quality checks; they ensure consistency across large projects without slowing us down.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the UI is intuitive, some advanced settings can feel hidden and take time to discover. A more guided onboarding or tutorials would help new users ramp up faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fragmented workflows: Before Phrase, content, translations, and reviews were spread across emails, spreadsheets, and different tools. Phrase centralises everything in one place.
Inconsistency across markets: Manual processes often led to inconsistent terminology. Phrase’s translation memory and termbase keep content unified across all languages.

You can easily tag and find everything back in the system

Sometimes the system reacts a little bit slow to changes or when you're saving something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are translating the website to different languages via this programme.

Format conversion is very limited - not good for cross-platform usage.

It is very intuitive to translate from English master to different languages and the changes go immediatly live.

User interface could be more modern, but this is just a minor detail.

What do you like best about the product?
Phrase lets us do translations reeeeaaaally quickly - it's so easy to use for our business people that our devs can deploy new things daily. Translation memory is really important for us - because we're working with a very specific language and it helps to quickly see how others handled that problem in the past. It helps with consistency in the app a lot as well. Afaik autopilot also checks if you've used a word often and then prefers it over the suggested machine translation. Don't quote me on that - not 100% sure^^

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes with many keys in que it will be hard to load more keys. Then you need to re-load the page to make more keys according to your search filters. Minor inconvenience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We spend less time in our dev cycle on translations, we translate faster than we did with the previous solution - and consistency is better thanks to suggestions. Autopilot also got handy when we had to lunch in new markets - autotranslations will get you 80-90% of the way and they drastically decrease a time required for a person to come in and prepare the app for a new market.

Every business is slightly different with it's processes - but for us Phrase was no unnecessary bs solution that allows us to move fast.
Innovative localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to work with it, it's fast and reliable. The in-context Editor (ICE) is super handy and it works with our complex software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find bugs in Phrase which prevent me from doing what I need to do. But their team is usually quite responsive and end up fixing the bugs fairly quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have centralized all UI copy for all our websites and apps into Phrase. It works very well.
