Great Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use. I also love the layout and how efficient it is. AWESOME customer/support service

Sometimes it stops working for a while, but the technical team fixes it very fast

What do you like best about the product?
What I prefer is how well organized the software is. It's straightforward to navigate through it and find what you are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like (having a translator role) to be able to upload the translations myself without depending on my developer teammate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Phrase to translate our software into six languages. It's super easy to use, and it's also designed in a way that motivates you to keep translating as you can see the number of words missing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a straightforward way to translate your app, software, or website also I think. Its interface is easy to use and user-friendly. You can have several users, which is excellent for more than two languages to translate. The best thing is how it shows you have many words you have translated and how many you have left. It helps you to go through :)

What do you like best about the product?
It is the most comprehensive tool I have ever worked with. It is easy to use, intuitive, and very customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't find anything I dislike about Phrase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Phrase for all my clients that want to localize their web and phone content. It has helped me shorten the turnaround time for projects and keep the content unified.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that you use the trial and see why Phrase helps you sort out all the localization issues.

2021 Memsource review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy access, pretty straightforward dashboard. Mostly quick speed during the translation of projects. Easy to download and upload files, create new jobs, assign jobs to linguists.
What do you dislike about the product?
Project overview is messy. Large files make the browser version slow. The lay-out of the tool is a bit 'boring'. The way to create and add new TMs sometimes seems a bit illogical (compared to Studio, where there are 7 main menu's, including 1 for TMs). It should be easier to find and add TMs.
ALSO: Translating websites using the Connector works terrible! We tried it several times but it causes many problems. We did get support from Ondrej and Jakub, which was highly appreciated!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning projects to linguists that do not have SDL yet, or using it as a back up option when other tools are not working. All the linguists need is an internet browser, which makes it very user friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great option if you need linguists to work via browser (or if linguists can only work via browser, because they do not have a CAT tool installed). Definitely better than other online tools we've encountered!
Memsource has been a great tool for me and my translation work, especially while working remotely.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I have an automatic draft of my translations as I upload my files to Memsource. This technique gives me a good baseline, as well as a good way to simply edit the translations that are automatically produced.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Memsource would give its trainers, users, and clients opportunities to improve their fluency in their target language. Learning about the technology was helpful, but it would have been better to learn more about translation terminology and vocabulary as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems that mainly involve transitions from the source text to the target text. I am realizing the benefits of doing translations in small segments in order to avoid confusion. Additionally, Memsource has made it easier to find assistance for my translation projects.

I like how we can implement MT and how we can do internal QA checks inside the tool

Sometimes, it gave me password errors while assigning the files to the users

I like how we can link WordPress website to Memsource CAT tool and translate its content

It is an effective tool that has a lot of options to help you in your daily work

The best thing in memsource is that it is user-friendly. Not just that, it's also very easy to use. In addition, the tool is not complicated at alland it is easy to explain to others.

I dislike that sometimes or with some clients, I can't download the TMs, i have to use it online only, as sometimes i would like to save it for working on future projects

Working on memsource, saves a lot of time as it always works without freezing or getting errors. The tool is easy to be explained to the team and to access it online from any computer.

To use memsource always as its a user-friendly tool and very easy to use and get the work done.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to connect it to sync with your Git repository.

Documentation could be structured better, to make it easier to get quickly up and running.

Having a single source of truth for i18n string variables, Quick turn around time using the auto-translate feature, Ease in management of multiple language files.

Memsource is an excellent entry-point CAT tool for students approaching translation technology for the first time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Project management features could be easier to follow and more automated (e.g. adding members).

I use Memsource to introduce my students to CAT tools via a user-friendly and intuitive program, which helps them learn and consolidate key concepts/steps in the translation workflow.
