Nice UI, intuitive with good logic, lacks some features
What do you like best about the product?
UI was very intuitive, logical, clean and simple
It was easy to use, needed no training at all

Adding context images feature was not the best
The support was not personal - not dedicated at all, too automated
Automatization was not possible due to the lack of connectors (Zenndesk) at that time
Pricing plans were tied to the number of users
General lack of features that could enable scaling and automatization. I might have also been that we didn't know how to do it - however Phrase support were not really there for us either

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistency and quality, plus speed thanks to Translation memory and glossary features
CAT tool for the freelance translators, however many translators just took the EN source text and translated in their own tools

It is good for smaller businesses.
Maybe they have improved their features by now. My experience is about 2-3 years old.

Intuitive and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Phrase for a good while and find it intuitive and easy to use. The mobile app allows me to accept offers on the go, and the online editor is so convenient that I rarely use the desktop version (only for some really heavy files).
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm pretty happy with the product. The team has done great updates, such as the search for jobs function in the mobile app. It would be great if this function could also be enabled, even if there are unclaimed jobs available (as a freelancer, I may be interested in another jobs, with different DLs)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase speeds up the localization process and helps me to plan my schedules based on workload and deadlines.
A good tool to scale your product to different languages
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase helps us to scale up our product quickly to different languages and markets. Glossary, suggestions and auto-translate are the best features of this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is not very friendly. We had to read all the documentation to understand the features and implement them in our projects. Some parts should be improved, such as creating templates that don't work, adding all Deepl languages, restoring branches, and so on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launch our product to different languages using deepl, maybe the translation is not perfect, but we can test languages and countries and analyze our customers to bet in that market or not.

I would like to some implementations or bug fixed in the next months

Limited options of the MT engines, especially customized ones.
Demand to buy the user seats, which limits me to have multiple users for a certain language pair.

As for the Project manager, it is essential to track the progress of the multilingual project in one platform.
The main benefits are user control, workflow configuration, TM, and glossary databases.

As a start of working with any of the TMS, I would recommend going over the documentation to become more familiar with the product to learn its functionality to see it fits your localization needs.
Phrase is a service with comfortable user interface and easy to use CI/CD integration.

I like the number of integration interfaces.

There is nothing on my mind, everything goes OK.

It is possible to work offline as well as online.
It is user-friendly and easy to learn.
Termbases are quick to access, and with the comment option, I can also check if the translator has left some queries.

What do you dislike about the product?
With big data, sometimes it takes a while to see whether the server saved your corrections or not. I might get an error notification that my corrections have not been saved, but that is not true.
When running the QA Check I wish it would be more accurate. For example do not show a notification if there is a difference between singular and plural form in the translation and the term base.

I can access it from different mediums, such as my portable computer or PC, depending on where I am. Therefore I can work from wherever I want to, and if my internet access is limited, I can save the data and work offline.

It can save your time and it is easily accessible
Memsource CAT for easier translation
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is easy to use - I have been a frequent user of the desktop version coupled to a client's server version. An especially useful feature is the easy filtering of both source and target language words or sentences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop version of Memsource does not have a function to use one's own Translation Memories. This could in some cases be a useful feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned, I use Memsource to do translation (and proofreading) for one of my very good clients. The QA function is easy to use and can be easily adapted to specific steps in the translation process as well as the final QA step before completion. It is easy to update the translation file on the client's server version and, when the job is completed, to register it as complete.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can recommend Memsource as an easy-to-use CAT tool - in my case the Desktop Editor version.
One of my favorite localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is still one of the most user-friendly localization platforms I’ve had the chance to work with from a translator’s perspective. It’s easy to learn compared to other tools, very stable, and rarely experiences bugs. I now use it regularly for post-editing and truly consider it the best online platform for collaborative work. The workflow is intuitive, which makes teamwork seamless, and I also appreciate the LQA feature — it's robust and well-structured, providing all the necessary tools for thorough quality assessment.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only concern at the moment is the fact that when I use it in Edge, I experience quite a few bugs, and I often have to reload the project. When I switch to Chrome, I no longer face those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The collaboration with a larger team is simplified with Phrase. I also like the fact that as a translator, I do not have to buy the licence since it's the agency that take cares of it.
