Memsource is very useful
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easily you can upload files, use the pretranslation feature and see the TM matches in the Editor. Having the TB for reference in the right panel is also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes it gets stuck in the Editor loading page and you need to refresh and even close the tab and open it again. I also don't like that opening/updating the TBs can be quite a slow process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has many benefits. But overall, it's quite a user-friendly tool, and easy to learn.
Great copy management tool to automate your processes
What do you like best about the product?
- Over-the-air copy key values change to experiment with the texts
- Single depository of all the copy
- In-context editor to allow you to change the copy while browsing the product
- Screenshots attached to each key + description to help translators and UX writers to come up with the best copy
- Jobs that could be placed for UX writers/translators with deadlines. You could place comments and discuss the options inside the product
- Auto-suggestions of the translations used for similar terms in other parts of the products + dictionary
- Branch logic – you need to create separate branches to merge changes. You could review all the changes before merging. Still, you could look up the current translations in the current master branch

What do you dislike about the product?
- Figma plugin to push the screenshots to the copy keys doesn't work well – our designers have to attach screenshots for new copy keys manually
- Jobs are deleted straight after merging the branch in which they are created. Why could we see which jobs we finished?
- They have only integration with Jira Cloud and we use Jira Server – so couldn't take advantage of this. Though we're moving to Jira Cloud so we will soon try it
- The new UI of the copy change is inconsistent with the rest of their portal and seemed less intuitive so took time to get used to

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Managing all the copy of our product – adding new keys, translating them, iterating on the existing copy
- Changing the copy without a need to use developers and in real-time

Memsource — The Most Accessible, Clear, and Straight CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
Two of the best features are translation memories and termbases, which enhance productivity and consistency. Instead of paying for an expensive license that will likely become obsolete after 1-2 years, I love that Memsource allows you to pay for a more affordable yearly subscription. That gives you access to the latest software updates, so you do not have to pay extra for them. You can even use Memsource for free if you do not translate regularly, which is great for starters. What I love the most about Memsource is that I can work online and have my documents in the cloud. I can access and edit them from any computer or mobile device.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is truly nothing that I do not like about Memsource. I do, however, dislike features from other CAT tools, but we are not here to talk about that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a freelance translator who works with direct clients, Memsource is an essential tools that allows me to manage and work on translation projects. Among the several CAT tools that I have tried, I find Memsource to be the most intuitive and easy to use. It has everything that I need — and it is compatible with Mac and iOS.

There too much features, it creates noise for simple project, it could be great to have a "simple" mode just for manage translations from and to applications (through API)

A powerful cloud-based CAT tool that provides excellent support for online translation collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool as part of my university course in which students work in simulated translation bureaus on translation projects from real clients. This tool helps me to demonstrate to students various aspects of translation management in a reasonably simple and intuitive way: among others, creating projects, linking various tools (translation memory, terminology and MT), assigning different roles and tasks, monitoring progress within each project and, finally, delivering the translation product. Even users with no prior knowledge of CAT technology are quickly at ease thanks to this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating translation memories using the align function is fairly basic. Checking and correcting the exported result can be quite time-consuming if the source and target texts differ greatly in form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This cloud-based tool is an excellent solution to replace the previous way of working with CAT tools that had to be installed on various devices, which very often caused problems.
