Great translation and localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool that will help your company to seamlessly build your translation workflows. I like to UI for the translation jobs, which is different from other TMS, in this case, Memsource excels on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would improve the reporting dashboard and the search TM term interface because it's hard to find one single term for one single language if you have tons of languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localization problems was the principal issue for the company now it's being solved by setting up different configurations within the tool, which makes easier the whole translation process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Machine Translation quality is good.
Phrase helps us a lot in achieving our translation process.
What do you like best about the product?
One tool easy to set up and really helpful in our translation workflow. All files coming from app, support and learning can be synced and translated easily with Phrase and with context
What do you dislike about the product?
I idislike some part of upload proces where errors are a little bit tricky to understand on how to solve the file issue itself

one tool for marketing content and product to have the same tone of voice to our customer
Nice tool but some improvements would be nice to have
What do you like best about the product?
it's rather easy to use UX-wise. Jobs are also very useful to manage projects and verify its status/progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I like Phrase but, given the high price, I would expect it to offer options to manage duplicated keys, duplicated locales, provide team leads approval for specific tasks e.g. before creating a new locale.

Integration to third party services and possibility to use REST API to create own tools

Some admin features are missing from the Phrase UI, like the possibility to group users into projects and filter access based on those groups
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase allows us to automatically translate our web and mobile applications at build/compile time and also offers a very user friendly UI for translators

What do you like best about the product?
The split file option, the file and project sharing, the embedded QA option, the Memsource Translate option. The easy-to-use interface
What do you dislike about the product?
The widgets and regexp and all (too complex) functionalities that require more technical knowledge than a regular translator would usually require and use on a daily basis for their root work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Splitting lengthy files between several translators. Checking tags, QA and spellchecks before delivery can be set as complete
Phrase has different functions which is great
What do you like best about the product?
You can put different filters, which makes the work easier, and you can see the preview of what you’re doing. Additionally, you can see the history of translations of different jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can search for old jobs by job name, but sometimes you have to change a word to another word, and that word can be in a lot of jobs, and to find it easier, it would be great if you could type in a word into the search you want to translate and the system will provide you with all completed jobs where this word existed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Context function that exists is really helpful. Sometimes you translate sentences and want to know how this sentence will be shown for our partners and here Context function is really great to solve this problem.
The best CAT tool in my experience
What do you like best about the product?
Standard interface and shortcuts, so you work there intuitively after other CATs without having the "swearing day" first. Good QA feature that catches number mismatches. The glossary also works flawlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not found found yet. However, I only used it on the vendor side, never on project management or company owner side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I worked with it as a vendor with a translation agency, and definitely plan to switch most of my work there. It saves a lot of time and effort, especially on the revision stage, and not every CAT does it that efficiently.
Powerful tools with an easy-to use interface
What do you like best about the product?
Allows us to manage multiple languages across multiple projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to 'undo' bigger changes, so you just need to be careful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application we manage uses 8 languages, including variations on French, Spanish and Chinese. Phrase allows us to customize translations for all languages and take into account subtle differences in regional dialects.
Easy to use, automated translations
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to create translations for multiple languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features did not work as expected (automatically removing keys that were not in a new upload). If changing existing translations, there's no option to automatically translate all the updated keys - you have to manually update each translation for each updated key for each language.

Phrase allowed us to add multiple languages to our app and website without hiring a translator

Ease of use and extensibility, ability to write an extension for AzureDevops with great ease

Inability to assign users to specific projects only if you are not the owner of the account
