Efficient and Reliable, with Minor Drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
its intuitive interface and robust features that streamline the localization process. It makes managing translations efficient and collaborative, especially with its support for multiple file formats and integration capabilities. The real-time translation suggestions and context previews are particularly helpful for maintaining accuracy and consistency across projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Phrase Localization Platform is highly efficient, I find that some of the advanced features can be a bit complex to navigate for new users. Additionally, the pricing structure could be more flexible to better accommodate smaller teams or projects. Occasionally, there are minor delays in syncing integrations, which can disrupt workflow.

Phrase Localization Platform is solving the challenge of managing multilingual content efficiently and consistently across projects. It centralizes the localization process, streamlines workflows, and ensures better collaboration between team members and translators. By automating tasks like file handling and providing real-time translation suggestions, it saves time, reduces errors, and helps deliver high-quality translations faster, ultimately improving project outcomes and client satisfaction.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When assigning projects in TMS, it'd be good to have less options that are sometimes confusing, it has a lot of features that could be a bit overwhelming or even difficult to find the correct option to choose.
Its a complete Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The most useful feature at this time for localization is the multiple file types that you can choose and how you can customize the options.
What do you dislike about the product?
As for the most useful feature I mentioned, I think it could be better if you add more examples to understand what some of the file customization fields are for, many of them give examples that are not understandable for most of the translators or it is not clear how to fill those fields, for example in the “Phrase tags”.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase solve our problems when we have some projects with complicated file types like .xml, the multiple options for customizing the settings make it possible to translate files that are not possible on other platforms.
good software

What do you dislike about the product?
probably the context note bar not adapting to the text is a negative aspect

Streamlined Translation Management: Implementing a clear and unified workflow for user groups offers numerous advantages. It ensures that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities, prevents misunderstandings, and fosters efficient communication. Previously, our translation database contained approximately 94,000 keys, making it difficult to identify and manage obsolete or unused keys. Phrase has helped us overcome these challenges by streamlining the translation process. We now advocate for consistent and descriptive key names, standardized naming conventions, the avoidance of special characters, and the adoption of automation wherever possible.
Efficient Collaboration: Phrase provides a collaborative environment that allows designers, translators, developers, and project managers to work together seamlessly. This enhances communication and ensures alignment among all parties, resulting in higher quality translations and faster project completion. New translations are integrated into our systems in a more standardized manner, with improved situational awareness. Changes to translations are applied to production systems more swiftly, and the current status is much clearer.
Automation and Integration: With its robust API and integration capabilities, Phrase enables us to implement automation at multiple stages, reducing the need for potentially error-prone manual tasks. This minimizes manual effort, decreases errors, and accelerates the localization process.

What do you like best about the product?
1. Filtering for a word and checking that it has been translated consistently over all segments. Often, filtering in both the source and the target is particularly helpful, to search for mistranslations.
2. The "Show hidden characters" feature heps check that there are no additional or missing spaces, particularly between tags and text.
3. I don't use automatic translation during translation file import, as I prefer to supervise the translations segment by segment. However, if the CAT pane is open, marking a segment as confirmed automatically jumps to the next empty segment and inserts the most relevant translation suggestion, which speeds up the translation process.
4. The Translation Memories are helpful for storing translation variants particular to our subject matter.
5. The QA feature is particularly helpful for finding tag errors, which are otherwise difficult to notice.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Phrase does not automatically use translated terms from our translation memories in its translation suggestions for a segment, provided by the translation machines. I have to accept the segment translation suggestion, and then click on the mistranslated term and click again on its translation from the translation memory.
2. For translations imported from Paligo, the tags contained in the target are colored gray, and I need to manually replace each one by a blue tag. WIthout this replacement, when the completed translation is imported back into Paligo, it doesn't recognize the tags and omits their contents in the translated document.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide documentation in Mexican Spanish and Hebrew, as well as English. Originally, we outsourced the translations to a translation agency, but found that since they didn't understand the product, their translations were faulty, to the extent that it was difficult to understand from the translated User Guides, how to use the product. As a result we needed to invest considerable time in reviewing and correcting the translations.
Eventually, we stopped using the translation agency, and started doing the translations ourselves, with the help of Phrase. For the Spanish translations, we send the translated documents to a colleague in Mexico to review, and she generally requests only a few minor corrections.

We were able to find a solution for an issue we were struggling with.
What do you like best about the product?
We used Crowdin before which seems outdated in terms of the interface and its non intuitive navigation, so when we switched to Phrase I liked the platform UX and it seemed to be less complicated than the previous tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that I can't send my title tags, slugs nor meta descriptions for translation using the Webflow connector app. I confirmed it with your support and therefore, needed to find a workaround for that. However, it was annoying at the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enabling consistent translations across all our projects, so we can be sure that the repetitive things are retrieved from translation memory.
