Great software for translation management
What do you like best about the product?
We are a SaaS software company and we've been using Phrase for 2 years now. It's now fully integrated into our continuous release process

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a small caching issue that makes the translation progress a bit confusing but nothing overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase allowed us to translate our software and integrate it into our continuous release process.
Memsource is a multi-functional, high-effecient CAT tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I can create and manage multilingual TB and TM in a high-efficient way. Whenever I need to trace back the creation or modification of one term, sentence or segment, MMS also simplifies the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't assign multiple tasks to multiple translators all at once after the job is created.
If I first uploaded the file then try to assign the tasks to multiple translators, I have to click "Edit" for 10 types and refresh the page for 10 types. It's exhuasting.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to manage projects, TB, TM, users and jobs quickly and easily. Every function that I can think of is easy and straight to perform, without too many trouble or complicated steps to follow.
I think Memsource is the most friendly CAT tool in the market.

It's very easy to work with Memsource. I think it's the most friendly CAT tool I ever worked with.

Sometimes the target document has its format changed after finishing the translation inside Memsource, and it's necessary to fix the target document.

I can translate faster with Memsource than with other CAT tools.
User-friendly and reasonably functional
What do you like best about the product?
It has a user-friendly interface, easy to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
It used to be a bit slow with longer jobs, which humpered the work, but I have not done big work recently, plus I have a faster notebook now :)

It speeds up my translation and revision jobs while providing reliable QA.
An agile, flexible, and intuitive tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is a simple, yet complete solution for almost all your translation and localization needs. You can also work both online and offline, perform a complete QA, and export to different text formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot of extra functions that are missing, although I'd like to have an advance search in the TM to look for specific terms in context. Other than that, I've never wanted for anything else.

Memsource helps me translate long, tag heavy texts and keep consistency with the work of the other people involved on the project. It also speeds many monotonous processes, allowing me to invest more time on perfecting my work.

Extensible internationalisation with PhraseApp
What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp is one of the best websites which I have worked with but what I can remember about it right now

What do you dislike about the product?
I believe there is always room for improvement but I can't think about any aspects which can be improved regarding the way we are working with PhraseApp right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a website which is offering services to around 10 counties in Europe and undoubtedly, All of these countries have different languages and this is the place when PhraseApp comes into the picture.
Memsource has it all
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is very convenient for both linguists and project managers. I particularly like that it supports many text formats, and I hope they keep on adding more.
What do you dislike about the product?
While very easy to use and keep track of errors, the embedded QA tool could be further trained to catch more details, and not flag up many false positive errors, so the linguists can check on their errors easily before delivery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource is very efficient with keeping the formatting in check, so we don't waste time in the overall process and the end result is always guaranteed. I highly recommend using it for maintaining the format of your documents in the translation.
Great learning opportunity

That you have all the resources you need and easily identifiable.

Soon it will not be for free, which wil limit some people.

You can have all the material and memories of your past trasnlations in one place. It saves time and cognitive resources.
Functional tool and competent support for international use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Integration of various machine translation providers to be able to handle all kinds of translations automatically and dependent on the source and target language.
What do you dislike about the product?
The handling of individual exceptions is not that easy. If you want a specific key not translated to all languages and keep this text in all others other as it is without translation (like names) this is a little bit hard.
Also from time to time it happens that a key cannot be translated and you have to change it so it can - initially to get the quickest results I have to auto-translate all 20+ languages through the UI - a button "machine translate this key to all other languages" would be helpful - maybe this even works somehow automatically but the process seems to be hidden and can only be checked by the results (which are most likely good).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an international marketplace with a UI that supports 20+ different languages. We do only have native speakers for a few of them and rely on machine translation to have at least a good start for the customers before we get their feedback for punctual manual improvements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you need a tool to handle a lot of different translations - especially automatic ones, you can trust phrase with it - at least we can since around a year now ;)
