Powerful and friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I began working with Memsource years ago; it was my first CAT tool. It was love at first sight because it's friendly, intuitive, and responsive. Also (a detail for many, very important for me) it's very readable, something I cannot say regarding other CAT tools. Through the years, I've kept choosing Memsource when I have the chance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tools are missing regarding text processing: for example, an option to change capital letters for lower cases. That would save a lot of time when working on an updated TM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't recognize any "problems". The tool makes my life easier as a whole.

What do you like best about the product?
It is hard to decide what is the greatest advantage of using Phrase (formerly Memsource). For me it's the user-friendliness of the software that comes probably first followed by the unyielding support of the amazing team that stands behind it, as well as their constant strive to improve the product they are offering us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I can say I dislike or find as problematic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being part of a higher education institution we utilize mostly Phrase's capacity as a translation platform. It allows our students to experience the real world in a translation company, using cutting-edge technology and learning how to work with it.
Qualitative CAT software for a greate price.
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is great, not complex, but very straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing... maybe in the future as addiction a dictionary

Translating books and texts in a speedy and convinient way
There are highlighted upsides attracting me despite some problems and improvements to be done.

Flexibility in TM selection and job assignment for multiple-lang projects.

Lack of TM labels and file converting from source format to working file （.mxliff） with some font/format missing.

Phrase is a very good platform because it helps me review my tasks on a well-organized manner.

Sometimes it's a little bit slow to download the data

They develop new features to make us, the Language Specialist, work a little bit faster and more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
Accessibility and loading time. Fast and can use with any OS.

Interface to access files varies depending on how you access files.

Other software requires me to install a virtual PC on my Mac.
User friendly cloud-based TM system for freelancers working with companies
What do you like best about the product?
The "joined" files feature is my favorite one. The user interface is easy and nice to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to highlight terms and search directly with a button, like a competitor system allows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistency across files in very large projects with many repetitions across files and projects. Daily input has highly increased for my LSP client and me.

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based, this allows me to work anywhere with any computer or laptop.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no function for reimporting a job.
For example, I imported an excel filled with the wrong source and target columns. I have to either
1. delete the job and create a new job with the updated file, or
2. use the "Update source" and "Use target" functions after revising the local file according to the columns submitted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small translation team based in different countries, and Memsource helps us deliver higher-quality translation with TM and TB.
CAT tools made simple and easy
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive and has the features I need: no more, no less. Simplicity is a strength: some CAT tools become overwhelming due to the number of bells and whistles they come with, many of which you don't use but somehow end up being the source of technical problems. Translating is hard enough sometimes - I don't want tools that require a degree in IT or to have watched 30 hours in webinars just to be able to do my job, not software that throws a fit right before a deadline.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, the only problem I have encountered is the TB gets confused at times and will highlight as TB term a word that is only partially similar. It's slightly annoying because it causes false QA flags, but it's not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep consistency across different translators and related projects - some of which were done months or years ago. It also helps a lot with internal consistency: checking my own work (what exact wording did I use for this 10000 words ago?) is extremely easy.
User friendly and very easy to get used to when you are familiar with CAT tools.

The QC option works very well and it is possible to filter the issues so the overview shows similar issues together.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first setup is always a bit uneasy because you want to use shortcuts of other CAT tools you are familiar with. But in fact there is nothing I dislike. I only accept to write about positive experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe that Phrase is solving workflow problems that often occur with the use of different CAT tools in different versions. All the texts are in one place and QC and submitting is very clear.
