A Great Translation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it uses my older work and suggests solutions in new sentences. It is also easy to use, and the QA is most helpful. It is a bit different from Trados Studio, which I also use, but both programs are great tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I translate into Icelandic, a small language with under 400,000 users, so the TM is not that extensive. Also, it is a complicated language, so the MT's suggestions are often useless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofreading my own translations and occasionally those of other translators becomes much easier when using Phrase, saving me time and energy, instead of using MS Word or such.
Love using Memsource (Phrase TMS)
What do you like best about the product?
I like its simplicity, how easy and intuitive it is to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if I dislike smth about Phrase TMS. It does its job well, and is well designed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It memorized the translation I previously had made and saves time. I don't have to use multiple apps when I translate.
The most user-friendly CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, whenever I receive a translation task and see that the work needs to be done in Phrase, I am thrilled and I accept it immediately as I know that first, I can approach the work instantly and from wherever, and secondly, it is so simple yet it provides all the functionalities for a fast, high-quality translator work. It is really really user-friendly and it makes all the difference!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really cannot think of anything, like really, I love it so much, I would love to have my work done in Phrase any time, but this all depends on the translation agencies and what they require.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a translator, I sell a service, it means I basically sell my time, so I want to invest less time to provide the final intellectual product - and web-based Phrase provides this. Fast translation in minimum time.
Best online tool
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase has helped us on many projects. Its interface is super simple and all our translators love it. Assignments are easy and all the linguistic interactions like translation memories or glossaries are easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to find translators and send them and invite to join the platform or even re-send them their credentials. There are some files formatting missing too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Several fonts with issues have been added for langauges like Karen, Khmer, Pashto and many others which facilitates online assignment for all our resources on that language pairs.
The most user-friendly translation tool on the market
What do you like best about the product?
Both the online tool as well as the desktop version are easy to use and intuitive, no instructions needed. The desktop tool is pleasantly lightweight, never goes down, and has all the necessary, uncomplicated tools to work worry-free. I'm using it for half of my daily working time, and it's the only that leaves me without a headache.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only tool I'm missing every day is a direct link to the Google search engine (highlighting and right-click) in order to speed up research work and save lots of clicks, which would help prevent carpal tunnel issues. Very important to me. Many other tools do have it, and in the working process it makes a big difference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What I appreciate most is that Phrase never makes me lose a lot of precious time to resolve technical problems or wait for program downs to end. Those hours instead become worthful working time.
Good features but big problems with tags
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Phrase is definitely the app. I once had problems with my computer and could deliver my assignment on time using the app because it works perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Phrase is the tags system. It frequently produces hundreds of tags for each segment for a simple letter on Word. It often causes delays in the deliveries, or the translators and editors feel overstressed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not aware of what actual problems Phrase is solving right now. I've noticed a chance in the colours and UX design in general, and I like better how it looks now.
Efficient and user friendly experience
What do you like best about the product?
It's efficient, user oriented. It helps ensure terminology consistency. The preview function is great. One of my best tools!

The interface could be a bit more colorful maybe, even though I like it

Intuitive software that makes translation easy
What do you like best about the product?
With Phrase TMS finding all segments containing a specific word is a breeze, so changes can be made very quickly. The TM search presents results in full lines that are easy to read. The QA tool is also very thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system propagates translations without regard for context, so some segments have to be edited. This can be a problem if the segments come locked by the customer or the agency. Also, if a glossary says for example that "custom" should be translated as "personalizado", even if you are translating the term "customer" you will get a warning that you did not use the specified term for "custom".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At a user level, I honestly have not seen much difference between Phrase TMS and Memsource, at least when it comes to translations, maybe project managers have a different experience.
Convenient tool for beginners as well as professionals
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based tool with MT availability, ability to edit source segments, as well as join or split them. Other convenient tools like find and replace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Character limit for certain plans and MT suspension
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves a lot of time; it is easy to keep track of the progress and it's easy to add TM and TB for accurate translations. I get work done so much quicker.
Great online CAT tool for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
Nice user interface, great design and useful options.
What do you dislike about the product?
On one of my older Macbooks it didn't work properly, it was very slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easier to work on my projects and get immediate feedback from the clients.
