Reliable software, both offline and on!
What do you like best about the product?
I have never had any issues whatsoever with Phrase (formerly Memsource). It offers every functionality I need and both the online and offline versions always work reliably. I have used other software in the past that was way too complicated and even caused hours of work to be lost, but that never happens with Phrase. Once you send your work to the server, you can rest assured it was saved safe and sound.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, it's hard to find fault with the software. Every once in a while, there will be functionality I need and can't find, but the online documentation always leads me right to it! The only issue I can think of (and which might be technically insurmountable) is the problem that tags can cause when using the find-and-replace function (if there is a tag next to or in the middle of the text you want to change, the tags can prevent the text from being found). There are usually easy workarounds for this though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is hands-down the best software for managing translation and proofreading or editing projects. It is easy to upload and download files and set up/accept/complete projects.
The most intuitive CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase TMS is the most intuitive CAT tool out there. If you are familiar with programs like MS word, you will have no trouble navigating through Phrase TMS in no time. The interface is straight forward, clean and the tool itself has all the necessary options to make your job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little negative to say about Phrase TMS as a CAT tool but if I have to make an example it would be that it's options bar is very short and could have been extended more to the right and filled with more buttons thus saving the user some time which he would spend seraching through drop down menus above it for the action he needs to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase TMS is currently helping me with my work, tasks and homework as a student. I am using Phrase TMS to translate documents given to me by my professors and I am very happy to be able to eork with it since it makes translating easy and fun.
Love Phrase, but the New Version is Not Up to Snuff Yet
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the smoth integration of an auto-translate option is very well done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new version has come with so many challenges. Lots of little bugs that slow down my day. For example, if a team member sends me a link to one single key, I cannot use the Microsoft translation tool because in order for that to work, user must press "Load more" in the key list and if I am not in a specifc Phrase job but simply looking at one key from the entire database, the page reloads and I lose the key entirely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our multiple and various teams to organize their keys and send them to me for translation.

What do you like best about the product?
Phrase TMS is very clearly, separately and conveniently to deal with translation works.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think "no track chanege" is the shortcoming of Phrase TMS.

Separate sentences of a translation document, this is convenient to me.
Good tool with room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that the tool is easy to learn for general users but also has a lot of features useful for translation specialists, so it can be used both as a CAT and a TMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a feeling that devs are trying to force a new version of the editor for translators that does not include all the functionalities of the previous one and makes it difficult to work on texts. While I understand the need for development I think that it could have been carried out better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It definitely helps the localization team cooperate with designers effectively, distributing all the localization/translation-related tasks while maitnaining high quality of the texts and translations.

- Lack of more options for character limitation management
- It would be great to improve the way strings are organized, beyond the usage of tags

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing strings from different software such as apps, websites and other company services, using different projects to organize and update them when necessary.

The number of possibilities, connectors and how easy it is to manage content.

Sometimes it feels like Phrase was built for smaller companies and projects.
It lacks some improvements for taking bulk actions and managing a high volume of jobs per week.
(example: every time creating jobs analyses and quotes, should be automatically; when handling an on going project, the list of jobs gets too long which makes it harder to navigate between jobs and add some more loading time to the page)

Delivering faster localization by managing and connecting all our UI content with our agency and freelancers
New editor has made the user experience terrible with the amount of malfunctions
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the interface is clean and pleasant. It feels very user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new editor has really made the experience a terrible one. By saving things, moving on, and realizing your work was actually not saved, for example, and other things that seriously disrupt good work. There are also a few functions missing in regards to the possibility of assigning jobs or creating term bases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Phrase Strings for all localization for our app. It benefits the company because it is functional. It lacks translation management tools in regards to the administrative side with freelance translators.
It was a great tool for the translations and retrieving the content and use in our applications.
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly the tool is very user-friendly. It is very easy to onboard all the country locales and add the keys and the values. The changes we make in Phrase instantly reflect in the application, there is no need of deployment. Everything is on the flow and ready for testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I faced issues with the initial setup and integrate with our application.
Our application was a java application and the jar was not available in the maven repository.
The jar was made available after raising the ticket to Phrase support. After the issue is resolved, it was very smooth.

The translations for all the languages where our application is available and also the translations can be done directly by the market users if they need any changes instead of reaching to developer team.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is solving the problem of auto translating texts and words. Also allows a step to review the translations for specific user. The feature jobs allows us to assigne specific translations to specific users especially with the job templates. Completly removes the need of forwarding excel files internally to review translations or create. Reduces time overall to manage translations.
