A very reliable and user-friendly tool
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is a tool that allows you to translate and make the best use of your time. The interface is beautiful, the editing options are easy to use and, now that the concordance search and QA sections are on the right side of the screen, it is much easier to interact with the tool without losing productivity time. You can work on many projects for a very long time and the tool doesn't get stuck at all. The spellcheck tool is also very useful, and the QA filter tool comes in quite handy, especially when working with large projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The preview section gets stuck when you work with very large projects, but most of the time I don't make use of that section, so I just hide it so I can work glitch-free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use and appearance. They have made very good changes to the interface and the way it works. Now you can work faster because the tool has become very easy to use. You no longer need to spend time trying to understand the tool, you just need to concentrate on translating and know that all the options you need are at hand.
Sarisfactory but not fully

It is stable and easy to use without too many unnecessary features.

I cannot use the glossary or TM that I have on my PC.

Userfriendly, intuitive and overall great for Localization. Integration with TMS was a real game changer too.

Process for uploading screenshots is really tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through the integration with TMS it's heavily reducing time and effort. It's a nice tool for a smooth integration with different departments (content writers, developers, localization).
Excellent software for document translation
What do you like best about the product?
Submit a full multi page word document and get an output file with all the formatting unchanged. Superb.

Initial learning curve is steep - watch one of the recorded webinars to learn your way around the software.

Fast document translation to meet compliance requirements supporting customers with technical documentation and user manuals.
Amazingly productive experience, very easy to navigate.

Auto-translations can be pushed to my project in a few minutes

Sometimes it takes time to understand why the new project is not properly synchronised

We can translate all our sites, and plugins easily. Translators can work on the project in parallel and auto-translations are unblocking the current process.

Phrase Strings is my go-to tool for instructing students in the intricacies of localization, and I find it particularly commendable for its ability to provide a comprehensive view of the entire localization project lifecycle. One standout feature is the inclusion of machine translation, which significantly enhances the educational journey by providing valuable insights and practical skills in line with the latest advancements in the field. This comprehensive approach, coupled with the efficiency of machine translation, truly sets Phrase Strings apart in facilitating an enriching and holistic learning environment for my students.

I face issues uploading old translation memory and transferring glossaries from previous projects with other CAT tools into Phrase Strings. It's often a struggle to get it right

What do you like best about the product?
As a translator I love the ease of access, the Q&A tools and the preview and export options for offline final proofreading.
The ability to download the source files is also very useful when the client "forget" this on the briefing.
When I put my project manager hat on, I love the flexibility to give the translator access only for a specific project so they can't be messing around with the files once delivered.
The new interface since the integration between Memsource and Phrase also is cleaner and more intuitive.

What do you dislike about the product?
For the future, I would like to see more stability when browsing and previewing large documents, which sometimes take a while to load.
The capability to automatically complete and confirm the repeated segments and having quick access to the logs of each segment modified would also be very useful.
In addition, the tags should be more flexible to adapt to the needs of different languages, as it is often difficult to keep the same order or spaces in the tags when transcreating the text.

Phrase allows me to easily manage my translation projects and avoid the hassles associated with working on offline documents.
Its TM and Q&A functions also improve the quality and consistency of the work delivered.
Among the translation tools I use regularly, Phrase is in the Top 3.
Although I think it needs to improve in aspects such as preview funcionalities, version control of modified segments and stability when working with large files.
