Too expensive for the features it offers
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, nothing. It only has the most basic features and import filters, surely not enough for the price they sell it at.
What do you dislike about the product?
Non-customizable QA, non-customizable editor and no perpetual licence offered, only subscription plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it doesn't solve problems. it's just a basic CAT tool which is not worth the money they sell it at
My work is faster, more accurate and more efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase makes things faster and offers a more enjoyable experience overall, offering me translations I wouldn't necessarily think of myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional downtimes, especially if not communicated beforehand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to keep looking up terms and jargon when translating technical/medical/legal documents, saving lots of time.
Phrase the most accurate, friendly and easy CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, accuracy of machine translation tools which are integrated into the workspace, easy import and export of translation memories, possibility of alignment of the texts and export them in Excel form which allow linguistic analysis in a couple of language.
What do you dislike about the product?
The procedure of integrating our own terminology lists into the machine translation system integrated into Phrase is not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating Arabic PDF documents
Easy and straight forward to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is a plateform so that I do not need to use up my computer's hard drive space with large software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be almost weekly updates to the layout or format, so I am constantly re-learning certain functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to access anywhere and it does not use up hard drive space on my computer.
Using Phrase TMS in the training of translators at universities
What do you like best about the product?
Clarity of the interface, a wide range of functionality, relative ease of creating a translation project and working with it
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty of working with PDF files and obtaining translated materials in the original format
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow to work out the technologies of working with translation projects by means of CAT systems in the educational process during the training of translators
A smooth working experience
What do you like best about the product?
It is incredible easy to navigate. The user experience is seamless and intuitive. It's very comfortable to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I usually do several short projects, so it's too much of a hassle to export them so I can use the desktop app, however, I know if I get longer projects it wouldn't be a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's much easier to communicate between project manager, QCer and the localizer.
As a localizer, I appreciate it.
As a localizer, I appreciate it.
User-friendly, intuitive tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use Phrase almost on a daily basis for a single client (for now). For me, the best features of Phrase are the user-friendly, intuitive interface and the continuous improvements that are added to the tool all the time, which always makes using it faster, simpler, and more accurate. I particularly like the filters as they can be very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding terms to the termbase is not too user-friendly as it's done on a separate screen and involves quite a few steps. For larger documents, this can be tiresome. For most CAT Tools I know, this is done with a couple of clicks only and works well. There are some minor layout issues that I also would like to see addressed (Context note box overlapping text during translation, for instance).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a relatively recent user (1 year +), so I have not had the chance to see many issues. However, the user interface has been constantly improved and streamlined, which makes my work as a translator a lot easier and faster. By this I mean buttons, interface layout, etc.
More feeling for Phrase TMS
What do you like best about the product?
I can learn more words or sentences and it can help me English vocabulary and phrase. I think it's useful tool, such as dictionary for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it can learn more detail about English word/phrase/sentence.
The main downsides should be I must spend much time to learn it. But I think it's a process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Phrase TMS for medical article to translate, I think the main problems should be feelings. I don't have feeling for my tranlate. I try learn it from learning resource.
Simplicity
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest benefit is the simplicity of use. Limiting the number of available features makes it much more user-friendly and doesn't overcomplicate the translation task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occassionally the server doesn't respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speeds up the translation process.
Good tool for everyday jobs
What do you like best about the product?
Works similarly to most CAT desktop apps and it's far easier to use. It doesn't offer as many options as other tools, but unless you're tyring to do something very specific, it has pretty much everything you need. I particularly like the fact that you can check the TM results for other target languages, as it can be very useful to ensure consistency and see different approaches to translate a sentence.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has limited personalization options and the UI is rather dry looking. The new design hides several options that used to be more visible. The search tool could also be improved, as it's difficult to find results when you search several words, even when you use quotation marks.
Occasionally, I encounter an error in which the text cursor and the part of the text where you're actually typing don't match.
It would also be fantastic if error messages looked visually different. Me and many colleagues have clicked on "Complete" on a task after a QA check only to find out days later that the client never received the file because Phrase didn't show one single QA issue and the file couldn't be submitted.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a basic CAT tool that works for most jobs. The fact that it's online it's quite convenient, as you don't need to manage files. It's not my favourite tool, but works well and it's a fine option.
