Best Translating Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is designed in a very intuitive way for translators.
With the newly-added feature to see the length of each segment, it is now better than all other platforms I've experienced. I used to check an Excel file and use plenty of copy pastes for certain projects. I no longer need it, since Phrase already indicates if a segment is over the specified limit.
Another thing I love is how fast the TM loads. It is also very easy to check the TM for previous translations and keyterms. These are absolutely a must for all translating platforms.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are still a couple of improvements to be made. The first thing that comes to my mind is the use of tags. It is a slow process to copy and paste tags according to the word order of the target language. This needs to be tackled more creatively.
The other problem I face is that I can't open multiple projects from the home screen. I need to go to projects and open them from there. I think this slows down my translating process and could be made faster by redesigning the UI.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides me with an online platform that can help me translate texts easily by comparing with the source text and allowing me to see previous translations for increased consistency through the integrated TM. This way, I don't need to use a local word-processing app for my translation and all process is recorded for the proofreader.
The most user-friendly TM I've used
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely user-friendly giving you a great overview and easy-to-use shortcuts. Customer service is also brilliant and have come back to me promptly with any queries I have had.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike to be honest is that not every translation agency uses it and expects me to work in other TMS. But with sdlx for example I work around this by importing the files into Phrase and then exporting - and the client isn't even aware.

Speeds up translation and aids consistency therefore making my work more time productive.
Tool very comfortable to use
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can see the preview of the final document on the same window is very helpful, mots of all to check if formatting tags are correctly set

When you are in the list of accepted jobs, you don't see at which step the document is

Everything is on the same window, no need to have a window for the translation, and one for the matches etc.
Easy to use, clear user interface, clear task setting

Clear user interface. Some double tasks, but generally helpful and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some repetition within tasks which could be removed to make validations easier.

Lighter to validate any job than reading it from top to bottom.
Phrase TMS assists freelancers and small business
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I am able to work on all types of projects using one platform, I have the option to convert to various file types, and I am able to complete all aspects of my project from pre-translation to post-editing all in Phrase TMS.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside to Phrase TMS is that it does not work well with PDF documents, requiring me to pay for a separate subscription through TransPDF to work with that type of file format, which is quite common.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the moment, my business is so small that I am not using the business management tools provided, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that when I need such software it's already integrated into software that I use regularly and am familiar with.
Fluidity and ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
It keeps the team in track, it´s also easier to see who is doing what. Also, deadlines are clear to set and all comments are recorded. The number of tasks and activities that can be tracked is also very attractive. Also, the amount of files accepted is huge, which is an excelent plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The display could be better but that is really just a "design" detail that does not intervene with efectiveness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe keeping track of translations and proofreading and editing processes is one of the major perks. It allows me to meet deadlines much better.
Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is easy to use and offers browser access from anywhere, which I love. The layout is intutive and makes it easy to implement on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't see any downsides, especially when compared to other browser-based applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to connect with assignments online. Since I use a Mac computer, it makes access very easy for me.
Translator friendly experience
What do you like best about the product?
First of all the the GUI is simple and intuitive even at first glance, even for those who are trying the platform for the first time. Lots of functions, ease of use and work. I am very satisfied and relaxed to work even because it is so easy to reach customer suppport. The frequency of use, indeed, gives us more possibility to discover new feature to help in our job of tranlators.
What do you dislike about the product?
Up to now, I only find strenghts when using Phrase. I have never had problems or troubles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is certainly improving steadily, and this is resulting in improved quality of work and significant time savings in various translation projects.
Amazing CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
I think that Search feature is quite good.

Phrase portal is vey slow when providng trabslation and does not give several/alternative translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To be able to translate and seeing a t the same time the targte file in Preview mode.
A reliable online solution for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
I frequently use Phrase TMS both for translations and proofreading. I do not own a copy of the software myself, but use online resources provided to me by various translation agencies. I have had experience using CAT engines before, but was impressed by how simple and intuitive Phrase TMS is. I have never had a problem with the software, which is not something I can say about other CAT software. I didn't need to install anything, I just use a browser with a username and password provided by the agencies. Everything I need is in the software, though I am sure there are a lot of other tools and features that I do not know about.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few things I dislike about Phrase TMS. Because I only use the web browser version, I'm sure there are more features that may be included that I do not even know about. The only other thing I can think of is that I cooperate with several agencies over Phrase TMS, so there are a lot of usernames and passwords to keep track of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Phrase to translate or proofread documents for various agencies. So there are multiple translators populating the translation memories and termbases, so that simplifies the translation/proofreading process.
