Another strong point is the customer support—while AI-based assistance often falls short, the human support team is consistently helpful and responsive, ensuring quick resolutions when needed. What do you dislike about the product?
While Phrase excels in usability and customer support, its pricing structure is a major drawback, particularly for language service providers (LSPs). The model based on processed words lacks flexibility, making budgeting and project management unnecessarily difficult. In the translation industry, workload fluctuates—some months are high-volume, while others are significantly lower—yet unused words do not carry over. This results in paying for words that aren’t utilized, which is a major frustration shared across the LSP community.
Despite its strong features and ease of integration, this pricing approach creates inconsistencies in cost-effectiveness, making it difficult for businesses with variable workloads to fully optimize their investment. Adopting a more adaptive and scalable pricing model would make Phrase a much stronger solution for professional translation teams.

It's a convenient localization tool with extensive features
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive. Easy to collaborate and work in team. Cool automatization features. Customer Support. I'm currently working with 20 different languages, there is no tool that can help me work on these projects so quickly and conveniently as Phrase does.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main disadvantage is that sometimes working with large projects is problematic, often the site glitches and half of the translations are not saved, but overall my impressions are positive. Also i would like you to improve filter for segments. Some times you need to find some sort of word, but starting with a capital letter, not small letter. As the result you get all of them. I'll try to explain it to you. For example I would like to replace word "One"(capital letter!!!). If i use a filter on the word "One", I get all kind of that word. Such as "one", "One", or even "someone". Sometimes it's usefull, but sometimes not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using your tools, our company saves a lot of time and money.

The user-friendly UI especially for the linguists. They are able to start quickly using the software without the need of understanding the whole complexity behind.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is about TMS:
- To keep the overview as Project Manager is not that perfect. I like the "Jobs" section to get a good overview, but still some features are missing there, so you need to switch quite often to the "Projects" section. The "Projects" section is not very user-friendly.
- I am missing a lot a global search within TMS. F. ex. if you want to check, where a term has been used and translated (in different projects and/or jobs) it a nightmare, because there is no global search available.

To translate a lot of content within our non-profit christian organization into more than 15 languages
Phrase is awesome! It makes my job so much easier. I can get more done and still deliver quality.
What do you like best about the product?
Using the Phrase Localization Platform allows me to benefit from a CAT tool that is extremely easy to use, implementing projects is a breeze and every time I reach out to customer support, I get a reply within only a few hours, which is great in an environment where time is of the essence.
I use Phrase every day, it's my main tool for work as a translator. The many features it has allows me to do everything and anything I want. It's also very easy to integrate when I need to set up a fellow translator in the system or if I have a huge project going.
I couldn't live without Phrase.

What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't too many downsides to using Phrase. The only thing is you really need to make sure to check your settings for AI MTUs so that you don't run out. Help from the AI is really useful but if you rely on it too much, it can become a problem.
While Phrase has changed it's AI MTUs settings so that they get used up quickly if you don't look into your settings, the AI does a tremendous job. It's just a matter of tweaking your settings accordingly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue when you're a translator is time. How can I translate as many words per day as I can and still provide high-end work that will allow me to keep the clients I have and get new ones referred to me? While one usually can produce around 1,500-2,000 words per day, with Phrase you can basically double that workload. This in turn allows you to accept more work and be more profitable as a business. Plus the quality level doesn't go down, which is usually the case when you take on more work and don't benefit from good tools.

Once you know how it works, it's easy to use. There's a handy side bar for QA which lists possible mistakes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially I didn't know exactly how it worked, i.e. first accept the task, greenlight each segment and run a QA to double-check you haven't overlooked anything. But once you know how it works, it's very easy to use.

I'm part of a localization team that does newsletters for a fashion brand. There's a few of us working on the same text - either localizing or reviewing - and useful to see each other's amendments, if necessary.

Phrase TMS: No hesitation for continuing to use
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase TMS is easy to operate with certain flexibilities, and ensuring the quickest trouble shooting in case of its need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Handling or operation manual is only English, which sometime causes difficulty for the staff members on the user side.

En nuestra empresa, dimos un gran salto cualitativo al empezar a utilizar Phrase Strings. Nos ha permitido optimizar la gestión multilingüe de nuestro producto y lo usamos diariamente. Un gran avance con respecto a cómo lo gestionábamos anteriormente.

What do you dislike about the product?
La implementación ha sido larga al tener que adaptar nuestro código a Phrase y aún sentimos que tiene mucho margen de mejora en ciertos detalles para el uso diario (filtros, integraciones, la base terminológica, conexión entre proyectos, mejora de analíticas), pero, aún así, en nuestro trabajo diario es más que suficiente.
No obstante, creemos que el precio es bastante elevado, no sale barato.

Partíamos de una gestión de las traducciones multilingües muy arcaica. Nos llevaba mucho tiempo mantener las traducciones de nuestro producto actualizado y era muy costoso. Ahora hemos optimizado este proceso gracias a Phrase y su gestión es mucho más llevadera.
También nos ha permitido unificar términos y traducciones al tener una visión más global.
