Much easier Platform to use than others
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Phrase for almost a decade (when it was named "Memsource"). It is easy to use and intuitive, and you can easily translate projects. It supports Right-to-left Languages, which is a great feature, and Tags can be added easily, so there is there is no confusion here. The QA process is decent and you can understand the platform once you use it. I use it now daily since I have multiple clients using it and I honestly prefer it over the alternative this the online platform is the easiest to use among the rest.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there were a way to find out which account belongs to which client! In other words, I have six clients using Phrase, each with a different username and password. When I get a link to log in to work on it, I need to remember which username/password I need to use to log in for this particular project. It is even more complicated when they all use variations of "my email+year" or "provide_my email" where I need to log in and out multiple times to find the correct account.
I really don't know how this can be resolved, but it would be an amazing feature if there is a way to fix this issue! :)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes my work faster and help me benefiting from the Translation Memories and past translations/projects to complete the next ones.
frequent user as a freelance translator - enjoyable experience and only a few issues with speed
What do you like best about the product?
Several translation agency clients of mine are sending me work via Phrase. The features seem to be entirely comparable to those of Trados, with the ease of use of logging in on any machine and in any browser. Therefore, this makes it easy for me to work on the move when I might not be using a computer with Trados installed. Overall, I find the design of the interface highly effective. I have not had the occasion to contact Phrase customer support. This reflects the fact that the platform is generally very robust and reliable. I would certainly recommend it to any organization and I believe that as a freelance translator, Phrase has helped me to receive a higher volume of work from certain clients that prefer to use it. Better yet, I don't have to pay anything, unlike Trados for example which often has costly updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, it will freeze for a while or start running slowly when moving between lines, but this is likely to be a browser or connectivity issue. I have only ever seen it crash completely once in hundreds of usage sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me obtain more freelance translation work from clients
User-frienly interface, easy navigation & robust translation memory makes Phrase an excellent tool
What do you like best about the product?
I recently had the opportunity to use the Phrase Localization Platform as a voluntary translator for Translators Without Borders (TWB), and I couldn’t be more impressed. This software offers a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate through projects, which is crucial when working on time-sensitive translations for humanitarian causes.
One of the standout features is its robust translation memory, which not only speeds up the process but also ensures consistency across different documents. The ability to create and manage glossaries has been invaluable, especially when dealing with specific terminology related to various fields.
Overall, Phrase Localization Platform has significantly enhanced my productivity and accuracy as a translator. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their translation workflow, whether for professional use or volunteer projects like those at TWB, and I am truly considering obtaining it for my freelance work as an English-Spanish translator.

A translator's view of Phrase
What do you like best about the product?
The handling of terms and translation memories is smooth in the translation interface. Doing concordance searches also works great.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a translator's point of view the project view is a bit cluttered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a translator the choice of platform is not mine for each job, but Phrase is one of the better systems I am currently using for computer-assisted translation. The use of terms and translation memories works smoothly, and the machine translation can also be helpful, but obviously requires editing.
Best switch we made
What do you like best about the product?
It is straightforward, fast, all in one place, very user-friendly, and especially it means my colleague and I can both work on translations at the same time from the same resources, which are updated in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some matches from the memory don't always come up, and it took a little while to figure out settings and some features, but customer service is extremely efficient and solved all those problems very quickly.

- No ability to prevent curly quotes from being used.
- No ability to auto-convert key names based on file export time (JSON vs ARB).
- After performing an action on the GUI, you need to refresh before performing another action. Otherwise, conflicts may result.

We are using Phrase Strings to manage all UX copy for our products.
This allows developers to never hard code text, allowing designers and writers to freely change and optimize the UX copy.
Also, this allows for scable multi-lanague support.

Average
What do you like best about the product?
The platform user experience is slightly above average. Catchy and intuitive enough. Contacting the Phrase support is easy and they reply very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some obvious features are missing from the translation editor. The TM search is not precise at all and very slow to show up results. The file parser is not very precise and we often encounter issues with multilingual excel files. Often there are bugs or downtime periods. Although the platform offers, at least in their ads, several software integrations. Unfortunately when you start to use them, you realize there are several blockers and limitations that do not encourage us to use it further. Examples: Braze and Gdrive.
Several software integrations are missing, specifically Canva and Strapi.
