Zoom Works
What do you like best about the product?
The zoom interface is easy to use, it feels like a second language for me. Out of all the meeting platforms I use, I think it offers the best quality and experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could pre-program breakout rooms and other cues in advance of a program starting. This could mitigate my need to invest in a zoom producer to manage programs live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most recently zoom helped me solve the problem of having many global stakeholders who are program zoom hosts and how we can interface with individual and collective use. This was a large issue for us historically.
Simple & Straightforward
What do you like best about the product?
Using Zoom can be used as is or customized & enhanced to suit your specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better scheduling feature. Currently I use Calendly to manage avaiailability and provide meeting time options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom streamlines long distance communication to help our business flow seemlessly across timezones.
Ease of use.
What do you like best about the product?
I have chosen Zoom due to the ease of use for our clients and end users. We have tried various other platforms (i.e. 8x8, Teams, GoTo, BlueJeans) and this seems to work best for everyone in our line of work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There has really only been one negative (which is minor) that we have experienced while using Zoom. At times other participants state they have to turn their volume up high in order to hear the conference. Depending on the platform in which you are using I can see where they are coming from.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helping to resolve a technical issue we are having with our Zoom Room setup. Currently our Zoom Room is setup with a Polycom Studio X50, TC80 Controller and a Polycom Trio 8500. With connected to the Zoom Room we are unable to make an audio only call out of the system.
Easy to use for meetings & webinars
What do you like best about the product?
The webinar feature is great. We use it often and find it easy to use and capture atendee data. We also like the poll feature that allows us to engage our attendees as we are live.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find I get disconnected from calls often. Not too bad, but frustrating. Also I wish I could schedule a webinar from the Zoom app rather than just the web version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing us with a platform to run live webinars for our customers and prospects. Enables internal meetings and customer meetings worldwide. We use it almost daily.
Great for running a team, big or small!
What do you like best about the product?
Fairly universal, its very easy to use from a laptop, desktop, or cell phone. Better than some of its competitors on filtering outside noise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is occasionally some reps have random difficulty getting their video cameras to work. To make matters worse, when they attempt to log in from another device within the same room it gives a God-awful echo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run an entire remote team. Its very useful with have team collaboration with all of our remote reps as well as share media.
The gold standard.
What do you like best about the product?
With wide adoption, everyone in the world knows how to use Zoom. We can just get straight to business without having to worry if someone isn't up to speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recording functions are limited compared to purpose-built platforms like Riverside.fm
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If I send a calendar link out, I'm guaranteed to meet up successfully with the participant.
Very Versatile
What do you like best about the product?
The most useful tool about Zoom for me is the ability to record my meetings. Also an upside to be able to meetings with multiple people all at once. This beats the competition
What do you dislike about the product?
Least helpful and downside will be becoming lady in have that physical encounter with people just because Zoom is now so convenient. I will like improvement on the mobile side. I want to be able to do almost every thing I can do on a laptop on my phone as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is saving time wastage, traveling expenses for employers and small business owners like me. I can do a lot more meetings now and conveniently through Zoom.
Zoom help make our virtual meeting more interactive.
What do you like best about the product?
The feature of having a readily available filter has been my favorite since it helps me lessen the hassle of putting make-up at home
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime I had an issue with my headset compatibility with zoom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far the incompatibility of zoom and some head set brand are the only problem
Zoom allows for flexibility in our hybrid work environment
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom allows for flexibility when setting up video calls among our distributed workforce. We can schedule these meetings in advance or create them on a spur of the moment. Zoom also makes it easy to share screens with all participants, and even allows for more than one person to share if that's what we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan has a limit of 40-minute calls, so in order to avoid getting cut off in the middle of a sentence, a Pro plan had to be purchased.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows us to have a great interaction between the people that work in the office, and those workers who are remote. Instead of trying to just have good communication flow over an email thread, we can all meet and talk about our current business needs.
Intuitive videoconferencing with simple UI
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use user interface. It's simple to send and receive invites and the screen sharing functionality is simple. I got used to Zoom within a day.
Compared to Teams, the other videoconferencing software I've used, it appears more stable overall - I've functionally had fewer disconnects on Zoom.
Compared to Teams, the other videoconferencing software I've used, it appears more stable overall - I've functionally had fewer disconnects on Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one main downside is the very barebones chat functionality. I prefer Microsoft Teams' approach in that regard. In addition, it is not immediately intuitive to send private messages to other participants in a conference and I usually resort to texting them on my phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Zoom, videoconferencing was challenging. I worked a decent amount with Skype and Google Hangouts and these often were not easy to use or would have unstable connections. Being able to have seamless videoconferencing has been very helpful in working remotely.
