Makes hours of commuting a thing of the past
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is a fantastic way to avoid traveling for meetings that need to happen, but not necessarily in person. I live in a large city where commuting times are long under the best of circumstances -- a 10-mile trip can take a full hour -- and Zoom has eliminated my need to drive or take the train to SO many work meetings. I feel like I have added 5 years back to my life by using Zoom. And it's easy to do -- no complicated computer skills are necessary. The next best thing to being there.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not really any downsides that are significant. Some minor ones -- you have to be near a strong WiFi signal and the program does seem to drain the battery pretty significantly -- and if there are more than say,10 people on a conference call, that can start to feel like a video lecture -- but overall it's a really great product and very useful. I would say the "sweet spot" for size is 4-6, with 8 being about the max where I feel that the meeting has been productive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily commuting time -- traffic in the city where I live is monstrously bad -- hours and hours can be spent each week driving to meetings that really don't deserve that type of time. Zoom has allowed me to meet with staff in a way that feel more personal, and where all of our time is respected and honored.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom works great - especially for any clients who have issues logging into Google Meet. I appreciate the screen recording option, and the breakout room functionality most.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were better integrations between Google and Zoom. Our organization uses Google for Gmail and Google Docs, so Google Meet is typically used more often, even though zoom has better features. I would also love it if there were a notes feature that automatically transcribed the call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Screen recording - our Google Meet software doesn't offer that unless we upgrade our existing plan. It also solves the issue we have with some of our clients who are unable to use Google Meet. For PC users there are some glitches - not sure why.
Awesome zoom experience
What do you like best about the product?
Its very easy to schedule meetings and share the meeting link on zoom and I love the share screen, whiteboard and chat functionality on zoom. I have used google before, zoom beets google hands down.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the free version only last 40 minutes. I would love it to last a longer time. if it could be twice the time allocated for the free version, I think people will love it more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I teach children bible study from all over USA on zoom and my husband also teaches keyboard lessons via zoom. It helps us connect to all of them all over the country an the same time, making distance not to be a barrier for us. I practically take lessons via the paid version on school with my teacher who resides on another continent. All these would not have been possible without zoom. During the pandemic my ministry in church used zoom for our ministry meetings, despite the fact we were locked up at home because of Covid, we still got together and continued our Christian worship.
Zoom's a great choice for your virtual business meetings!
What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to use and install on your PC or your phone. It's easy to create and share links and to create recurring calls. I have so many issues with competitors in this space that I just don't encounter with Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the issues I have with Zoom is the share screen function. It's not easy to keep sharing your screen as you move from documents, websites, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work from home and Zoom makes all of the virtual meetings I have (which is most of them) easy to administer.
School Based Services
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can give control of my computer or request control of a student's computer. I teach students and assistants that aren't the most tech-savvy, so that feature allows me to easily troubleshoot activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version used to allow 1:1 video conferencing for free over 40 minutes and only paying for 3 or more participants. It's frustrating that I have to get a paid account to video chat for an hour with only one person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a fully virtual teacher. Other video conferencing platforms are not as user-friendly as Zoom. Also, it is easy for me to send a link to those with little experience and easily connect with them.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is a pretty straightforward app. The add ons are mostly the useful portion of the app. We love the ability to connect it to ALL the additional systems we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very limited collaboration tools. Whiteboards are complicated to use, breakout rooms are confusing and often times trying to use waiting rooms can get complicated when you want to deactivate the waiting room mid-call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helping us solve our virtual meeting needs. It's much easier to use than Google Meet or Teams which have the worst interfaces of all systems. Zoom works for us.
Great tool to arrange online meetings, which are easy to access for every user!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Zoom, unlike Microsoft Teams, is accessible for users of all platforms. No Microsoft office needed. Additionally, Zoom makes it easy to arrange webinars and record them as a host. Server speed/connection is normally really stable and I didn't run into any major issues so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have experienced issues with my audio settings, what helps is normally to check your audio settings and making sure that the version you are using is up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arranging long-distance meetings, it also helps manage the different time zones accordingly. We have run into issues with Microsoft Office before, when users come from different time zones.
Easy to use and always reliable.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is for both me as the admin and my users to access software. It's fast it's simple and it works every time and we've never had a glitch.
What do you dislike about the product?
My one dislike is the integration between zoom and Google mail. I feel like it could be a little bit more seamless for me to create digital meetings. But that also could be a problem on Google side and not on the same side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to set up meetings for my global workforce, while helping us to Translate into six different languages for one meeting and to communicate for verbally visually and through the chat functions. It just keeps it simple.
Powerhouse of video conferencing
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has so many good features that it's hard to pick just one. As IT, I've seen the best and worst of end user interpretation of Zoom and it's competitors. Folks seem to really love the personalized backgrounds and beauty features to help make remote work more fun and creative. I personally enjoy Zoom's easy to use admin portal where the options are clear and aplenty.
What do you dislike about the product?
Privacy and security are always a top priority no matter if you're an organization or personal user calling your grandparents. Though it's hard to mitigate all security risks, the few incidents Zoom has encountered give a sobering reality check that no matter how safe you think you (and your code) is, that may not always be the case. I appreciate their prompt address and correct attitudes when these things do happen, working to remedy the issue with notifications or updates and being transparent about it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying connect in these hybrid world of remote and going back to office is definitely a major problem that Zoom is helping to solve. The collaboration tools in a session are probably what I think are the greatest adds to what could otherwise be just another video meet software. As IT, this platform also helps act as a sort of remote desktop, if users can join the call and share their screen. This greatly helps reduce troubleshooting time in some cases when I can see the issue in realtime.
I use Zoom for business and personal meetings
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is helpful for me to meet with clients, and I also use it to meet with family and friends who don't live near me. I'm typing more information so I can meet the minimum requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the security settings are annoying but I do think they are necessary. Sometimes the integration with outlook isn't very seamless. There's not much I dislike about Zoom except the price point is a little high for how often I use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting with people virtually and protecting my private information. I also get to catch up face to face with people that do not live near me. I like being able to see family and friends
