Using Asana for Daily Tasks

What do you like best about the product?
That I can track down every task and be able to manage what I am assigned to everyday.
Pretty useful if you are trying to turnaround task fast and not miss anything
before using Asana some cases/tickets would get lost or they would take longer to resolve.
I feel when that list begins to get long I have to knock every task assigned to me by the end of the day
What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting of the forwarded emails that are hard to format properly with the Asana Dashboard.
Would suggest a way to find titles, subtitles etc. on an email as when it gets migrated to Asana
it causes sentences and the body of the email to become disjoined.
Overall tho great product and I hope asana continues improving this feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using to create tickets to track down hardware issues.
We can classify every progress of the case by selecting a user and assigning a task.
I feel that this product has reduced the turnaround time to solve most issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Asana to make it easier to accomplish tasks.

Best Tool for Task and Project Management

What do you like best about the product?
First of all, Asana has a very clean UI, which I appreciate. It's also great that you can set up list-based projects as well as boards like Trello for more of an Agile/Kanban approach. Scheduling, setting deadlines, and setting team leads is very fluid.

For personal organization, the "My Tasks" tab is great. Make use of the shortcuts (like moving a task from today to upcoming with "Tab+U"). This will automatically be switched back to today's tasks when their due date comes along.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I really love the product. Even the free version is great (though if you want to use it for more formal project management, you'll want premium). Once you get going and fully incorporate it, the only frustration is getting the whole team to adopt!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving organization and project management. Keeping the team organized and on the same page is critical for completing projects more effectively (and with less stress and duplicative processes).

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create a project with tasks & sub-tasks. This makes it easier to track, assign tasks, and visually see the flow of everything that has ever been done. Emoji integration & the application is also very helpful for keeping motivation up as well as staying connected at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how difficult it is have to click "Load more" when there are many tasks created within a task. Formatting (bullet lists, tables, etc) within the Text Area also has room for improvement to be able to past in more advanced content such as a table for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problem of not knowing who has done what when it comes to project managers assigning tasks. We now can hold responsibility as far as who has completed what work and who has assigned the correct or incorrect tasks. We are also able to hold accountability based on how long it takes to complete tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana works excellent if you need a simple task management system that integrates with many other platforms and is extremely easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
As a product designer, it's really practical being in touch with my boss and collegues for my projects updates, in real time getting rid of many emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually I'm not having any problem with it, it's just a little hard to start it with people hard to convince on using new approaches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my product design process is helping me a lot reminding all tasks to me and my collegues. And thanks to Instagantt my new approach to the Gantt is more user friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and then you'll see more and more people will join it. Thanks to manuals and how to videos, there's a lot of material for getting started. Now since my team is getting bigger very soon I'll go for the Premium subscription.

What do you like best about the product?
Every business I go to, I recommend and give training on Asana. Scheduling my workload for the week/month and storing my notes and attachments has increased my productivity and reminded me about action items.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish when I hit enter after entering a task, that the cursor arrow would drop with it. It currently types in the previous task instead of starting with the blank one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the forgetfulness problem. No one can have the excuse anymore and it helps keep groups on track, not just individuals. I realized my benefits are keeping my "record" clean by never having to say, "sorry, I forgot."
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to schedule a start date reminder, buy the monthly subscription.

Nothing in the last 6 months of my use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems of time management and planning have been solved with my use of Asana. Asana has really helped me to schedule my tasks in the order with which they are meant to be implemented, regular reminders have helped me to stay ahead of schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an amazing app, once your tasks are organized for the period, you're sure to be ahead of your schedule

What do you like best about the product?
I love having the ability to organize my team's task & my tasks in a centralized Project. I am working to get the premium version approved so we can interface with other systems that we plan to use in the Internal IT team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I cannot disable Project Grouping in the Later section of the My Tasks screen. I had to change the way I use the program because of this.I would love to see some additional issue tracking processes added to the software, perhaps auto-numbered tasks under Projects. I also do not like that you must pay for premium to access user administrator (I really think that is their hook to get premium).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows the IT department to organize our tasks by severity and by time frame with the custom tags. Custom Tags are the best part of the free version of Asana.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Freemium business model of Asana lets you try it for your company. It really is great as freeware. You need to get multiple members of your team on board for it to be successful. You also need to dedicate a few months of use to it for it to really stick.

What do you like best about the product?
What I cherish most about Asana is the clear and logical organization features. That in combination with the powerful search function makes workflow a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the heart was turned to a thumbs up. I feel the heart gave it a more personal feel, more of an "I like this" "No problem!" as opposed to an "Ok, got it." Just an opinion...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A clear business problem in my line of work is communication and collaboration. Asana makes it easy to drop files, give feedback, link to relevant content, look up previous projects and catalogue ideas for the future. No more lost ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look up best practices for setting up projects > tasks > subtasks so you get a proper workflow down before starting. Make sure all your teammates follow the same established protocol and flip tasks back and forth to keep working moving so your platform is organized and efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
I love user interface. It is so easy to use and allows me to quickly add tasks when I think of them, then add due dates or assign to others at that time or when I have time later.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app is a little more difficult to use. I would like to be able to check off tasks right from the main task screen, and have the undo option like there is on the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the issue of being bombarded with tasks every day through email, conversation, and my own personal work. Before Asana, I never found a system that would help me organize these requests so quickly and easily. Now, my coworkers and I can assign things to ourselves or each other and collaborate on projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love how Asana lists all tasks in the calendar view. It makes my life so much simpler when I can see what needs to be done for my clients "at a glance".
What do you dislike about the product?
I am sure there are features that I am not familiar with that Asana offers. So far the features I use daily are amazing. I would like to dig a little more into the service before I find something I dont like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With having all my tasks outlined easily I never have tasks that get missed or lost in emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a MUST try! Everything you can imagine, stored on your personal calendar. Asana makes life so much easier and helps me stay on task with at a glance task lists.
