A great tool
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Asana for a long time and recently we moved away from Asana and moving towards implementing VersionOne system. I would say Asana worked fine for us but managers belived that VersionOne has more to offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tasking is something I did not like fully in Asana. VersionOne on the other hand is flawless in that regards. For my work It does not really impact too much but for my team it does therefore I am for VersionOne to make my team more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mean there were no specific business gains we were hoping for but Asana was a good tool to use. Further more I like that VersionOne has made our life much eaiser with easy access tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
its a good tool but there are new tools out there that are better than asana
Excellent for Teams to Track Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Great and very easy to use. We like the fact that most people can use it readily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Costs too much! For every person you add it gets expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having everyone on the same page, we open a lot of taprooms and do a lot of projects so it has helped in this.
A very good project management software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface a lot. It is bright, simple, colorful, easy to navigate. It doesn't take long to learn everything about the tool. I also like that it automatically help you prioritize your to-do and it is a fun tool to use within your team, so you can look at what everybody else is doing and easily assign tasks to other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you need to open a webpage to get onto the site. It would be easier if it could also be developed into a desktop app and just have it right open at one click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Asana for project management. It has been very helpful to manage a team's tasks using the tool, micro tracking the time of each task and clearly see which team members are on which task.
Optimizing your time, opimizing you life
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me was that you can use the boards if you want. or change to a list. The software is very easy and friendly. You can assign any task and put it in the calendar. Its pretty cool, because you can download the app and update your board.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can´t think in just one thing that dislike me, but the team of Asana can upgrade the subtasks part. I mean, the thing is that you can`t assign subtasks to nobody, so you have to turn them in tasks, and that is not cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits of this software are the boards, the capacity of assign tasks and that is free.
With the free version, you can handle your agenda and your projects. But, the best tools the paid version have it, like the timeline that is perfect for manage projects with a big crew.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to implement the radical transparency and see the rightful teamwork in your company/project, Asana is the best.
Form your team and organize them
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar is completely interactive, you can almost do everything from there, which is very good for those who have time-sensitive projects, as it creates a very good timeline for you and you can assign and create tasks on the spot within the calendar. Then each task leads to its wall and more, which is fabulous because you can start your session in the calendar and keep everything in mind quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like at all that outside the calendar there are so many options in so many menus, because it forces you to navigate through several menus to find the option you were looking for, in the end you always end up going to the menu because it is the better-made interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an organization, we must organize ourselves and Asana is the perfect program for that, which is why we have chosen it. We used Trello in the past, but it leaves much to be desired, especially regarding the calendar, timeline, and everything related to time, which is vital for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is not difficult to use, but I recommend using only the calendar, you have everything there after all.
Asana for Organizing Projects and Team efforts
What do you like best about the product?
I am relatively new to Asana so I have been taking time to build out the foundation and have utilized all of the Asana tools that are available. This has been great, community, help, email and the webinars!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike at this point, but, I will be working to add some of the email links and integrations shortly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed us to keep track in one repository and we can select the way we want to arrange each task. This is a truly helpful feature, because not every project makes logical sense to be laid out in a calendar style or board style. We are now working through all of the different options. The other portion that is helping is the linked efforts and the dependencies as well as assigning tasks accordingly. We currently work with third party vendors that use Jira and Asana, so this is a nice way of collaborating between different and like apps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their support tools and community articles have been very helpful. I have also sent an email to sales regarding questions and their response time was within 2 hours! They were able to confirm my question and point me in the direction.
Not friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to organize myself and my coworkers in a sigle app with a lot of options. It's a web focused on improving team's productivity and it is obvious from the first minute. I like the care and effort they put to do a complete web application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like th desing and for me I was difficult to get in. Sometimes I though I had too much options to learn about, I've needed a youtube tutorial to understand how all works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team management and task management mainly. Also coworkership, obviously. We benefit from collaboraion and scheduling, so we improved our productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to at least try asana. I f you get how it works quickly, it becomes a powerful we application and it's useful to imrpove your productivity. I do not recommend to spend money on asana having other options, I tried it and I think we are going to stop using the paid version.
Task Management for Individuals and Groups
What do you like best about the product?
Since its rollout, Asana has been one of the better task-oriented platforms for individuals and teams. It has a very nice UI, and provides a robust set of options for amplifying, tracking, organizing, and timing tasks. For practitioners and groups who work in a task-oriented culture, it's hard to beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with most products in this category, Asana delivers as advertised. For teams who want to keep information at a high level--like MS Project teams--Asana is going to feel like overkill. Teams wanting to keep detail and data relationships will find a lot of great avenues within the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I consult with teams that have a task or checklist culture, I recommend Asana as a way to start amplifying task information, most often associated with keeping better metrics (time per event, planned vs. actual, etc.) It's simple to implement and intuitive enough to get started quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always use a tool that most closely fits your culture. If task-oriented, this will be a good fit.
Asana has greatly advanced our collaboration!
What do you like best about the product?
It is dynamic in its tasking. It can be used with many other platforms to enhance our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are constantly updating, which is good, but it is not always rolled out very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast paced environment with lots of moving pieces. We have been able to align all of our team members for our projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We did a rolling onboard, I would recommend a hard start.
Asana: Good Project Management and Team Work App
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for small teams. I recently collaborated with another person on a long-term project and used Asana to track action items and progress. You can also have conversations, share files, and track your progress on multiple projects. Action items drag and drop easily so you can rearrange them if something in your project changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface was a little confusing at first. You have to click through different levels of screens to get to where you want to go, and sometimes it can feel like you're in a maze. The general arrangement of information just took me a few days to get used to for some reason. I do wish there was a way to make the whole thing simpler or have less screen hopping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm keeping track of my to-do list, and I'm able to mark off and archive items that I've completed (which I really like). I think it's helped me to see how much progress I'm making. I can also look back at conversations and old documents, which comes in handy when planning for future projects. The ability to tag team members directly and have conversations cuts down on emails, too!
