  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana is so easy to use and collaborate. It is very flexible too. I am able to assign tasks to people on projects which needs close monitoring and efficient team work. Also, its easy to manage the tasks overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific but i think it could be more user collaborative and guided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management, project management and tasks assignment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! worth your time

Great Way to Keep Track of Tasks

  • October 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to see my tasks laid out for the week in calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the app had task reminders that pop up the way that google calendar does. There are ways to get around it using other apps but it would be nice if I didn't have to open another account with a different program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main business problem that I am solving with Asana is staying on task. I have realized that it is a great way for me to stay on task with the many projects that I have throughout the year. It is also a great tool for your team (co-workers) to see what you have on your plate as well so they know when they can make requests of you and when to expect solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want it to connect to your calendar or send notifications, be prepared to start an account with another software company.

Easy to use task management for teams

  • October 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very easy to use despite packing many great features. The app makes it easy to collaborate with your colleagues on tasks and projects. The boards feature is very useful for us as we use it to assign different columns to different stages of our project. This allows us to quickly know the status of the project. Asana's mobile apps also allow us to manage our projects quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana does not support switching between list and board layouts. While this is a minor inconvenience it would be great if different users could switch between layouts. This would allow our developers to use the board layout to match the Kanban style, while the managers could use the more traditional lists that they are more familiar with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped us manage our projects better by allowing us to know what each team member is working on. This has resulted in better communication within the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some time reading about the features of the product. Asana is very simple and easy to use and a lot of neat features are hidden away. Read their documentation, take time to set up your project, categories/tags and your board.

Great task management!

  • October 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Asana for sharing tasks back and forth with other employees. It is easy to create, edit, and share a task. I also like that you can add comments and notes to the task for others to see.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that you are unable to assign a task to more than one person. You can share with multiple people, but collaborating on a task is a little inconvenient since only one of you can have it on your task list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating, editing, and sharing tasks with coworkers.

Asana is good for project management

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has really solved the problem of project management in an easy to use way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you learn the platform it's easy to use but getting to that point is not initiative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of work tickets has become a lot easier. Also Asana has more customization than a lot of project management options.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have time to learn the product before you decide to switch. If you do I think you will like it.

What do you like best about the product?
Many project management systems make it really hard to get started - Asana does not. Asana is very easy to get started with and use. It's very intuitive and user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything about Asana that doesn't suit my needs at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to work with a distributed team. Asana makes it easy for all of us to stay on top of the projects.

Task-Oriented Project Management Tool

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for working with multiple teams on different projects. You can add as many users as you need and sort out tasks by team. You can also generate tasks with deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email frequency is a bit high but you can use user preferences to manage them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with a team that is decentralized and in different time zones, Asana has been useful for creating a place for convergence, idea sharing, and task management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not try to make use of all of the features, only use what you need to keep things simple.

Simple, yet effective

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is perfect for my organization since it incredibly intuitive to use and makes keeping track of deadlines easy. It's easy to attach files and keep things moving.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when email notifications are a bit wonky and don't come through. We've fixed that by just tagging each other in comments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, it was pretty difficult for us to keep track of deadlines and the progress of different projects. This way, we can assign each other tasks as we know of them and can keep things moving. It helps us all stay accountable and productive.

Asana is incredible for repeatable tasks - thanks to templates

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the template feature. This allows me to take a series of tasks for something like blog posts that I can repeat for QA, and thoroughness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The boards feature isn't quite as good as some of the competition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistency in Content Creation

Simple program for managing team tasks

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use to manage tasks across a team. Gives visibility to workload and it's great that there is a standalone app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some small issues in the user interface. There's a flaw that creates a new blank task after you create an existing task and requires clean-up constantly. I also wish you could set priorities by task other than by due date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing my IT team and the workload clear.
