Very good project management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
Able to keep track of projects. I like how there is alot of integrations with other apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its more focused as a project management and less as a daily or time management. I feel like it should offer both. The AI tool needs alot of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Delegating tasks with to my team. Keeps everyone accountable where all tasks that need to be completed are displayed. Im using the board function as equipment status so probably not its original intention but flexible enough so I can make it work.
Possibilities are there but confusing logic ...
What do you like best about the product?
A centralised repository for storing projects and making management a simpler, centrally coordinated, and reportable resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
Has the potential to join projects together, but for complex multi-team, significant review, approval, multi-owner transfer projects it provides complications. Not being able to search within custom fields without going through custom search - let us save a search profile that works for the way our people work. No ability to create recurring events, for example a 2 hour review session each week - you need to complete the current then generates the next - this impacts resource planning as those hours don't "exist" until the next instance is created. Reporting is still lacklustre, as we typically now need to export CSV files and do data representation as best we can using pivot tables and more complementary data usage fro senior management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is trying to provide a consolidated single source of project progress - through centralised messaging, rather than detached across emails, IM's, phone calls. It is trying to give visibility of the wider project landscape, progress, delays (and reasons), and ensuring there's a method to understand and assign workloads.
Asana is great at project management, but not for relational databases like Airtable or Monday
What do you like best about the product?
Great for project management, tracking goals, projects, tasks, and conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to build automated workflows and structured databases that connect to each other, Asana can't handle a lot of that. It's automations are more limited than other platforms like Notion and Airtable. And Asana isn't meant to build relational databases like Monday, Notion, or Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy tool for teams to adopt and use on a regular, ongoing basis. Mainly to track and collaborate on projects and tasks, have it all in one place, as well as conversations about said things.
Asana:
What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps me personally keep my work life in order.
- Helps create multiple smaller checklists instead of having one gigantic to do list for multiple clients
- It is incredibility flexible to fit my teams workstyle
-I very much enjoy setting up Automations for my teams workflow within certain projects, however I do wish I was able to copy paste automations from project to project AFTER a template has been deployed
- The way asana structures their platform following the Goals -> Teams -> Projects -> Tasks -> Subtasks it makes sense
- Extremely robust help FAQ section, and weekly trainings with live Asana agents
FILTERS! Theres so many ways to filter things to get exactly what you need, big plus
My boss is always asking me what got done, what did my team complete, what are the blockers? I like to use the Ai built into Asana to get a "general" gist for them instead of sending them a long CSV file of all the tasks the team, or myself had completed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the automations do not get affected on subtasks, which in my team's workflow can be problematic.
There are some workarounds which we have implemented, but for analytic purposes subtasks do not get counted all the time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problems Asana helps me solve, is tracking, and documenting changes to client's accounts on the software we use as a company.
The workflow is simple, create a task, add descriptions, document with screenshots, create more subtasks if there were additional things related to that main task, send to management to review

Work Management Has Never Been Easier!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is quite intuitive and easy to get started. I can lay out my pipeline and daily activities as an engineer in as granular a manner as I want. My projects can now be tracked clearly with start and end dates, amount on time taken, dependencies and blockers etc. The collaboration within our team has been enhanced greatly using Asana.
The AI features are someof the best I've seen integrated and I utilise them for customising fields, creating rules and generating summaries for the C-level executives.

What do you dislike about the product?
Asana has a bit of a learning curve to get used to and as such I had to take the Fundamentals certification to better understand it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me solve the problem of managing projects especially being part of a team. As such it's now easier to track each member's tasks in relation to the orgainisation's goal. The AI feature also makes it easier to summarise progress for the executives. The implementation of well-detailed dashboards also enhances the experience.
Still using Asana despite all the other shiny tools popping up.
What do you like best about the product?
Focus on business goalsm projects and tasks. It doesn't try to do everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rules for automation could be more advanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication, Cooperation, change of ownership between projects and tasks when needed, reporting.
Great for keeping teams organized
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the fast functionality of templates and the ease of connecting with teams. It offers great ease of use and has become my go-to tool, and I use it every day. It also has a ton of easy integrations, like Google Docs and Airtable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be challenging to use if not everyone has a license, and it can be rather expensive for various low-use stakeholders to obtain one.
Also, users with access can accidentally delete items, and if you do not notice quickly, it's nearly impossible to recover.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a program manager, I have to keep a number of projects--each with a greater number of stakeholders--moving at pace. The tool enables easy visualization, auto reminders, and seamless integration with our all up reporting tool for metrics and visibility.
Easy to run!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is super user friendly! We really appreciate our Rep helping up through the integration process!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some features we would like to see but our rep has been great about passing along the things we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping our organization keep track of tasks!
Great tool for Project and workflow management
What do you like best about the product?
Its ease of use and the various features allows one to do basically anything, it helps provide a clear view of the organization, everyone's basically using it daily for their every day tasks and the ability to integrate goal management with the project management making Performance Management lot more easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike really just the initial implementation can be tough if you don't know what you are doing but they got great customer support for that,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a global team, the ability to work together of tasks and the effective way the tasks visibility is kept saves a ton of time and money.
Great Tool - Audit History not 100% there yet
What do you like best about the product?
Love the UI and the way it is easy to get started.
The workflows are very helpful and can make life easier once one learns how to use them.
The AI generated summary and status reports are very helpful and quite accurate, as long as the project is updated accordingly.

What do you dislike about the product?
The customer service is not really there, requiring the engagement of third parties. Not a huge issue for me, as I like to research things and chose to become an Asana Ambassador.
The prioritization of work, and the movement (in priority) is not really tracked well or auditable, which is a huge issue.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personally - helps me to GSD.
Having all of the communication in one place is very helpful, given the dispersed nature of our team.
