1Password, usability

  • June 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Stores your complex difficult passwords in an easy-to-access way.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you use "suggested password" to generate a new password, 1password does not automatically store this. It is too easy to set a password which you don't know, and which 1password did not store, and is forever lost. Very frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves sharing passwords with other team members. Easy / fast login, as long as you stored the password you need and have the plugin.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always capture the "Suggested password" before allowing it to be used on a website, because you won't be able to find out what it is otherwise.

Not much. It's not cheap for us as a small agency but it's worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
I love that 1Password lets me centralize all my generated passwords, allows me to auto-fill logins in any browser (including apps on my phone), and acts as a 2FA authenticator.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how it's 2020 and so many still don't use a password manager to manage securely generated passwords.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1Password's Family and Team-sharing features make life easier, in terms of helping family members out remotely, as well as my teams at work, respectively.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browser Extension auto fills login info. Easy to manage users. Easy for users to start with. Integrations with other software
What do you dislike about the product?
admins don't have the ability to transfer user data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
users are not automatically removed.
More secure passwords by users.
Users not forgetting passwords
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get the more advanced plan. You'll be able to get your users to use it in their personal accounts, which will increase their adaptability. It's secure, so admins don't have access to their Personal accounts at all.

The best password manager for personal or enterprise

  • June 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've evaluated what seems to be every password manager out there. All of them have their own limitations, but I find 1password to be by far the best. The UX and management is so much cleaner and easier to use, you'll save a ton of time on user support. I also started using it for my personal use as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there are two different chrome extension (one requiring an app and the other not). It causes user confusion during onboarding, and it would've been better if 1password would consolidate into one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise password managing and sharing of credentials internally for SaaS tool without team capabilities. Also, ability to store strong passwords for employees.

An alright password manager

  • June 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It works for the happy path. Outside of that, it's obscure and hard to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prettiness was prioritized over the user experience. Difficult to get to account settings, or to view your overall vaults. Customizing password generation is impossible, difficult to figure out simple things like setting up 2-factor auth even when prompted. Overall prettier than other apps like Lastpass or Bitwarden (both of which I've used extensively, daily for 2yrs+ each) but it's much harder to use. Couldn't tell you how to do something like export your passwords.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Forced to use for work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider another password manager instead. This one is regularly confusing to admins for letting new users into teams/vaults, to users (most people tend to use browsers password manager over this), so it's probably not worth it.

Secure and makes life easy

  • June 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This's excellent software. I like the integration and also the browser with Android eight devices. I am certain my passwords are properly stored and this encourages me to produce really complex passwords that I am not obliged to remember any more which is truly awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's absolutely nothing to hate about it. They did a good job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Your method enables you to share other credentials and passwords with a number without sharing certain credentials insecurely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As the individual responsible for the use of its, you give it to them since it's a really helpful tool that could wreak havoc if not used properly.

1Password

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The capacity to produce, store and control all the passwords of yours in one application is truly fantastic. You do not have to remember numerous passwords. Encryption at its best. It is good to have the ability to purchase apps so you just have to pay for them one time rather than every month. In IOS, the Touch ID makes everything much more simplier since you do not have to enter the password of yours every time. When you register for OS X it will instantly generate your pass and ask about if you wish to save it. You can easily sync it with all the products of yours via iCloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Do not alter anything! For real, stick with what you are doing and be good at it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since I began using 1Password, I have been in a position to make use of passwords for every account that I could not before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In case you are searching for password management, this's a necessity!

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The app you didn’t think you need

  • May 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password doesn’t get in the way, it sits there and wait for your commands.

And when you start giving out commands, it is always helpful. A top app!
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, if there would be one thing to note, it would be the fact that — sometimes — I have to disable and re-enable 1Password in Safari *after an update*, as it can get stuck.

However I don’t know if it’s a bug in Catalina or — less probable — in 1Password. So it should be something that I dislike with an asterisk.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m trying to use unique, random passwords for each website.

As a result, I have achieved a lower attack surface in my online doings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try. You don’t know what you’re missing out!
