My go-to for Outbound Intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
The ease at which I can enrich my Salesforce database
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of HQ phone numbers in which the operator will not transfer to IT
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Breaking into C & VP level with direct lines, also confirming the address of the given contact for direct mailers

What do you like best about the product?
I love the in depth information provided and ability to pull detailed, filtered list based on my needs. Knowing the information is not extremely outdated help ensure I am focused on calling the right people with correct base knowledge including up to date news and metrics from the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much~ I have not had issues and when I do I get quick reply from customer service reps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When targeting an new company it is great to be able to pull a list and start digging- this saves a lot of search and find time ... so that the sales folks can do that... sell and not source with their time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn how to use the features- it does a lot more than you know. I love the subscriptions- it gives me updates as often as I want on features of companies I am targeting.
A great platform for finding leads and great intelligence however the phone numbers are run down
What do you like best about the product?
The Org charts are great for targeting, especially for ABM. You can find the right targets and upload them into your CRM in minutes. They also have emails that are verified so there is no wondering whether or not the email will actually send out to the prospect. Also the scoops can be very informative and lead you to where the prospects pain is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am assuming a whole lot of businesses use Discover.org to call their prospects because it's becoming tougher and tougher to reach actual prospects with more numbers ringing twice and then going to voicemail. Also a lot of the data is cut off depending on what you purchase, there is always a feeling that the person you need to reach is in a section of data that isn't made available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding who does what in an organization is easier than before and finding messaging based on their information is efficient as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would see whether you want to do dial heavy cadences, if so then getting phone numbers may not be the best usecase for the product. The intelligence and org charts are where the value lies.
DiscoverOrg - Useful but not always accurate
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly lookup company org structure and find out who is reporting to who, direct lines, emails, easily find a target and reach out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've found the information on DiscoverOrg is not always correct, approximately 10% of numbers are dead or wrong, and the category that denotes "Job Function" is very often not accurate.
The search function sometimes produces a different number of results if I turn deal predict on and off. Example: I have 400 results with deal predict on, I turn it off and have 1200, I turn it back on (without touching any other filters) and now have 300 results or some other number than 400.

Self guided lead generation. The ability to cut down on research time and target companies using specific technologies that we consult on has been useful vs scouring linkedin, google, crunchbase for everything.

Avoid the job function category.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Discover Org is so up to date on all companies and employees. It is essential for us in sales to have the correct contacts along with correct phone numbers. I also LOVE the scoops feature. This allows me to target specific accounts where we can uncover a need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont dislike anything about discover org
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In sales we are solving the barrier between us and prospective clients, we are able to contact employees and target them based off information that Discover org provides.
Thorough Prospecting for Mid-market and Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
I like how complete the information is. Contact information: phone numbers & emails are complete and generally up to date. Having almost everything in one place helps my efficiency. The phone numbers provided are solid and generally reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many start-ups and some mid-market accounts are simply not there. Also sometimes employees that have been gone for months are still listed so I always have to use LinkedIn as a verification of current employment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency. I have a lot to do as an SDR DiscoverOrg helps me get most of the information I need in one source.

Use LinkedIn to verify current employment; otherwise, DiscoverOrg is a one-stop shop.

I like the org chart and the connection details that are provided.

i wish there were more companies that were built out.

I wish that there could be a higher accuracy on the email addresses.

Useful but a few limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Overall ease of use and ability to navigate and learn about companies. I also find the scoops to be useful at times although it would be nice to have an option to filter them. The amount of contact data is strong and the ability to import account level and contact level data right into CRM is great. I find responses from DiscoverOrg to be quick when bad data is spotted.

The hierarchy/org charts tend to be pretty inaccurate and outdated.
Additionally, I sometimes find that there are people not in the employees section who should be or who are easy to find on LI and company website. This isn't uncommon with other providers, either, and most of the time I can find the right folks.
The list building feature can be a little challenging and often returns too many results when you have a very specific niche market with titles that have high variability -- which is the norm in today's organizations. Can spend a lot of time weeding through the wrong people.
Additionally, I sometimes find that there are people not in the employees section who should be or who are easy to find on LI and company website. This isn't uncommon with other providers, either, and most of the time I can find the right folks.

DiscoverOrg has not let me down

The support is unmatched. If I find a contact is no longer with a company DiscoverOrg will conduct the research and update.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of smaller companies and certain industries such as physician practices and hospital systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have a data source to obtain business addresses, phone numbers, email, direct dials, and contacts. Without a source such as DiscoverOrg we were dead in the water.
