Great tool for prospecting
What do you like best about the product?
I like the background and information provided. The list of contacts for the majority seemed to be accurate. I believe when prospecting it is always helpful to also have a linked in page provided as it enables me to approach a contact at another angle. I think the scoops is also a very good tool because I can even cover a topic of discussion on current projects or ongoing. The insight of what technologies also helps very much as I can then verify if i have existing partnerships and can leverage my industry knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike some outdated information. Some contacts when I search and cross reference with certain companies the contact is no longer there. Also with merges and acquisitions there needs to be an updated Bio that states this because the company then in turn becomes a subsidiary or a another company all together. I would like better searching functions and saved functions that was easily address when there was Rainking. After the merge and acquisition I felt as though the tool was a bit more difficult ti use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding correct contacts. I have the benefit of seeing the org chart and know how to climb the ladder. I also which there could be alert notifications right away when there are changes to an organization. I know that there is a lack of resources to updates the changes right away but I would like to learn the process and procedure on how this information is gathered.

Good tool, but not a one-stop-shop
What do you like best about the product?
I like the org trees here. There is great business info and having the links to LinkedIn is great.
Integration with Salesforce is super helpful. Also the advanced search function is great.
Integration with Salesforce is super helpful. Also the advanced search function is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Telephone info is pretty spotty and not always up-to-date. Many times the contact info will take you to a corporate switchboard that the prospect is not in.
Advanced search needs to be more powerful. You should be able to filter results better.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding businesses using specific technologies is great. We've been able to really target our outreach.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool and is very helpful in prospecting leads. The information provided is very useful. You'll get email, work phone, and sometimes cell phone numbers.
The email alerts are useful. You can use the advanced search to create alerts that send notifications to your inbox. The drawback of those is that you can't really control very well what info triggers the notification. I did an advanced search for companies using a specific technology, I wanted to be alerted when net new companies are using that tech, but this is not possible. So I get notifications now of company revenue/population changes instead, which are not useful to me. Support was not able to help me with this either, so hopefully they upgrade it in the future.

I have used many tools like this in my role and have found Discover.Org to be the most accurate, reliable and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I don't like about Discover.Org is that you can only see a subset of contact types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Part of my role is partner recruitment, having access to accurate contacts within a company in one spot has made my job so much easier.

As complete a market building and prospecting intelligence tool for high tech sellers as there is!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the amount of data available. That includes the latest news, technologies used, org charts, and more. I like that data can be downloded into Salesforce.com and Outlook. This application is sophisticated, and data rich. Putting together a targeted marketing campaign is so much more easy to do, that I get a lot more done, and build my pipeline accurately and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too sophisticated. It takes a lot of education to get up to speed. It's a lot to remember.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping up with changes in my prospect accounts in one data source. I am also identifying accounts with competitive products.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it! It has all the data a salesman would want to have to make strategic plans and execute on pipeline building activities. A salesman could even exclude assigned accounts, and find new ones based on account intelligence found in this tool. It's extremely powerful.

What do you like best about the product?
Discoverorg has many features that make it versatile for a marketing or sales team to make new contacts and easily import into a CRM. We are able to import straight into our campaigns saving time and employee expense. The Data is excellent and has helped us drastically with the inside sales department.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a very limited data base so there are a limited amount businesses available even though there are a lot of contacts for those businesses. The same lists are sold to anybody that is buying so you will be competing for the same business in some cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to get to a decision maker quickly and build relationships to see if we are a good fit or we can move on to the next partnership quickly if we are not a fit.
Why this should matter to you
What do you like best about the product?
This is the enablement tool that will unlock the most powerful avenue in sales - information. Not only do I get up to date contact information for each contact and account, I'm able to understand what matters to the account and tailor my reach out accordingly. I'm subscribed to scoops so I get daily updates on the accounts I've targeted so I can be first to the door.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing is perfect so I feel I should hold my punches here a bit. I feel there could an easier flow when clicking into "multiple accounts" or "conflicts" after you've done an account update in the SFDC widget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm cleaning our SFDC up with up to date contacts that have phone numbers, emails, and titles that allow me to speak strategically to what matters most to them. Whereas before I'd be lost in the internet trying to find relevant information to reference.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to ask questions to their support staff. I've been on demo's to better understand the platform. It's not too difficult once you spend some time playing around with it.
